Anime are meant for entertainment, so if you enjoy a mix of fantasy and historical, you can have your fun with this series.

I find the art style to be alright and the OST does set the mood.

Even if the story gets confuse with the two worlds, I personally couldn't help but cheer for the protagonist and the tribe to get into freedom.

The Anime does have a flair of Germanic mythology mixed with Japanese characteristics.

It's only 90 minutes long and the advantage is that you can more easily take breaks in-between the episodes compared to it being one big movie, which helped me a ... lot to regain focus.

All in all, while you might not expect a master piece unless you extremely appreciate the Anime, it's an Anime that can be enjoyable for those, who like these types of historical war settings. So go ahead and see it for yourself, if you're interested!
