Sadly, with such an awesome premise, the story falls flat on many occasions. The intro arc is super intriguing. Enough to pull you into this messed up world with mysteries scattered throughout.
I just feel that the journey towards the answers I wanted were somewhat boring, and dragged out too long. And then when the answers are revealed they just didn't feel satisfying enough for me. The story itself, imo, could be rewritten to be at masterpiece level, but what we have is a bunch of interesting ideas that didn't quite pay off.

Full of forgettable characters sadly. I can count on 1 hand the characters I have any feelings for at all after the book ended.

While the book has many downsides, I'd say there is some interesting things here. I did see my enjoyment drop as a progressed through the story, but every once in a while something would get me hyped up enough to start binge reading till i simply got bored again and took a break.

I'd 100% recommend the beginning. The premise of it will pull you in for a while. It just somewhat falls apart as time goes on.

The story here is just a retread through various Naruto plot points plus some random stories, but different. Different in that Rock Lee and crew(neji/tenten) are the main characters of this show, and instead of following the story, it's all about making jokes, gags, and crazy random stuff. Well me, being somewhat familiar with Naruto, I love it, and I don't know a show that would be better suited for this kind of thing.

I love animes that break the mold of what anime should look like(panty and stocking, tekkonkinkreet, and more i'm sure). This, while not being completely original, makes chibi art it's own,

and I find it fun to watch, beautiful, and extremely hilarious. I have a new appreciation for chibi art.

Great opening and ending songs and the Japanese Naruto voice actors are actually really good at what they do. No complaints at all.

These characters are mostly one dimensional, but I think it's fine for this show which runs on ongoing jokes and gags. But still I find the characters very enjoyable, though Tenten's voice did get on my nerves from time to time.

This is a great show to watch in short little bursts. But I can clearly remember finding the first few episodes great, the middle of the show entertaining enough, and the ending few episodes just amazing. It has it's ups and downs, but it's a long show.

The story is not actually bad. I just feel like it wants to do too many things and if it would have dropped a subplot or two it would have done miracles. My choice would be to drop the economics take on things and just have the war and love story. Now when I say drop economics I don't mean completely. I mean just say what's essential about economics and that's it.

Now the characters aren't bad by any means, I just feel that they weren't presented properly and feel that this show couldn't take them where they needed to be at the end. With maybe a two season long show it could have done this, but they were neglected lots of times for interesting, yet half hearted discussions on economics.

So a young demon lord was trying to make popcorn and accidentally released demons onto the world. Not so bad, for a crazy off the wall anime, and that's exactly what this is.

Not too much detail is put into this show, but what can you expect from a show that's only a few minutes long an episode. I think it serves it's purpose but takes a backseat to the comedy.

Easy slice of life premise. Too easy. The premise is almost the reason I skipped this but I have been pleasantly surprised by the journey through the show. It has plenty of good qualities.

While interesting throughout, I didn't quite like the way the final conflict was resolved. I just felt it was a lot of build up for something not very special.

While studio Bones is always where to look for some of the best animation, I didn't quite like the character designs. Aika and Hakaze being the only exceptions, everyone else kinda made me felt too feminine.

Everything looks amazing. I can't see anime looking any more advanced besides better animation, and that all comes down to how much money and time is available. For a tv show though it is amazing.

Great show, but I'm pretty sure I got everything there was to get out of my first watch, though I will definitely be picking up that Blu-ray when we get an American release! This is an awesome show and I highly recommend to any fan of animation.
