Masamune-kun no Revenge. It's about a high schooler. A typical high school story. Well, in this case, the MC is a hottie. Seems regular to you? Well, at first glance, it is. That's why, as far as the story goes, it's pretty generic in comparison. That's why the mangaka offers something else to the table, art and character
To make up for the pretty generic (with a bit twist) premise, we're presented with godly art and character that is adorable and relatable. Needless to say, they make up for it quite well. As far as I know, the manga is already over and to those who hates
...
rushed ending, this is not one for you. The ending is pretty rushed even though it ended on a good note. I feel like it needs to flesh out the story a bit more before deciding to end it.
It's a harem, yes. Technically. But, the MC is set on one girl while turning down advances from another girl (as for why, it's in the story, go read it). This alone makes it quite an interesting read material. A harem that is not quite a harem. Bit of drama here and there. That's what makes Masamune-kun no Revenge interesting.
So, this could be great all in all but the rushed ending to happy conclusion leaves a bitter taste in my tongue, otherwise, it could be a 10/10 for me.

Everyone desires for romance. No matter how pitiable one may have led their life, it's a feeling deep within everyone's heart to love or to be loved. In that purpose, entertainment grew to include romance. There's a lot of show out there that gives you the promise of a romance to fulfill that desire in your heart. Then there's Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata, coming with every other show that shares the same promise.
With that in mind, what makes Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata different from the rest? It follows the same set of character trope, follows the same set of progression, it serves nothing new in
...
terms of story either. But what makes it so good? To me, at least, it's the simplicity and relatability.
Most shows out there are pandering to the mainstream audience through a flashy scene, cute characters, self-insert OP (this is a thing), or "fanservice". Yep, fanservice is already ingrained in our community deep enough, we couldn't possibly survive without them by now (or could we?) Saekano do bring them all in (minus the fanservice and self-insert) and managed to make it feel brand new to us. They got the flashy scene and cute characters.
"But, I see a lot of show with cute characters already."
Hold it right there, gentleman! I'm not done talking! Besides that criteria, we got a PERSONALITY.
That's right people! Personality in a character is hard to be made. You can try but did the audience get the personality you're trying to relay? You need to understand people to create an intricate personality and ironically the supposedly boring character in the show turns out to be the most interesting of all. I'm talking about our main heroine here. I won't go into depths-in analysis but trust me, you'll love her just like me (or not)
The show also tackles a lot in the territory of Otaku culture so, I can't say this is the most beginner-friendly show. You should try this when your understanding of Otaku culture is somewhat enough to understand the basics of tropes (such a tsundere, yandere, kuudere, galge, eroge, etc).
The art is flashy, somehow reminds me of Shaft's style minus the absurdity. A-1 goes over the top with this one as I saw there were no signs of quality drop. It was consistent and that was great.
The voice actor is good. The music is as usual. Nothing great, nothing bad either.
So, to summarize this, this is a show with light-hearted drama and focuses on the characters building for the second season since that where the real fun begins

Re:Creators is like a breath of fresh air to me. It's an original works that concept is good and well executed. It's a fun ride from the start to finish. I'm glad I give this a chance. Okay, next up! The review!
As I said, it's original and well executed. It combines all sorts of genre and still managed to deliver. The narration is good but could use some more effort into it. The story is about anime character jumps out of their world to our world and then battling. But, it's not all it has to offer. It also gives you an insight of
...
how is life perceived by those who follow cruel fate called "narration" or "story". There are all sorts of character with different background, motivation, and purpose. The character doesn't fall flat or boring. The supposed main character is acting as a narrator of the story and he's awesome for that. The diversity of character and their interaction. It's perfect
As for the sound, ever feel pumped up everytime a song played? I assure you, this anime provides a wide range of soundtrack that just too perfect and fit the scene every time. Even though it's the same soundtrack all over, you'll never get bored of it because they use it only at the right moment. The voice acting too. As expected of pros. The VA is a pro in their industry and I shit you not, they're good at delivering the persona of the said character.
I enjoyed this series thoroughly and it deserves the 10 it gets. It's truly a masterpiece in my opinion

*Beware of minor spoilers of the first episode*
This show receives a lot of harsh critics just because of the first 3 minutes of the first episode. So, before I go into depths of this review, I'll take my sweet time to point something for you people out there
- This is NOT Eromanga-sensei 2.0 or Oreimo 2.0
Meaning, there's no romance between sister and brother. Hell, there's hardly a sister shown at first. It is nonexistent to me.
So, after putting it there, I'd like to go into depths of the show.
The MC, Itsuki Hashima is a novelist with a sister complex. Sounds like Eromanga? Yep, you goddamn
...
right. What makes this different is, there's no sister at all. It's just fantasy of the MC. This anime mostly take place in Itsuki's apartment. It's a dialogue, character-based show. One like in Joshiraku or Monogatari series but not that intense. The take on novelist life is realistic and sometimes relatable. The animation is decent. Nothing feels out of place.
The anime rely on the character interaction so, not much of a story happening here. Still, it's good and sometimes sad as well. Looking at the hardship of a novelist and all.
Verdict
This anime is underrated and overlooked because of the misleading title and premise while in reality it is a good show

Ah... Just when I thought that anime couldn't get any worse in my lifetime and I was presented with Hametsu no Mars.
So, what to say about it? The story? Yep, it was so great, even I don't know what's happening for the entirety of the OVA. I could literally take my eyes off the screen for 10 minutes and still hasn't missed anything yet! How wonderful is that! You can't miss anything if it's not there at all!
Art? Well, it was absolutely stunning, you'll jump straight into the world of art critics the moment you saw the art here. The gore, the blood, the character
...
design, the action. It was great enough for me to laugh at it and still not feel bad about it.
Sound? Do you love classical music such as The Ride of The Valkryie? Look no further as Hametsu no Mars brings to you a bunch of classical music put together in hopes of bringing a certain atmosphere (which I failed to notice) to you, the viewer. Is it successful? Even a non-musical plebs such as I knew that the music placement in a bit off (or rather, doesn't even fit at all). The VA. The voice acting! It's like the studio gather a bunch of elementary grade children and ask them to do the voice acting while their face was stuffed with a pillow (the latter applies to the MC, Takeru Hinata-kun)
The variety set of character here is wonderful! We got the green-haired girl, the blue-haired girl, the blonde girl, etc. The character was so similar to each other, you might as well replace them with the cheap talking doll from your nearest thrift shop. There is no personality whatsoever. Try closing your eyes and try guessing who's talking at that moment. You can't, can you?
I watch this anime with the knowledge of it being bad and do it for the LOL's. So, the enjoyment is a 10 from me. It was absolutely fun to watch a show this bad. I get a good laugh even when they try to drop that plot twist at the end (it was supposed to be shocking but, come on! Even I can't be surprised with that ending)

Ookami to Koushinryou.
Who knows that studying economics and social studies could be interesting?! Even in an anime!
Ok, that's a very common saying about this anime. Some even called it "Economics: The Animation" due to its nature of talking economics on every possible occasion. The set of the story is in Medieval Europe (I think) or influenced by it. Instead of having the MC as a brave knight who's going to save the kingdom or a crown prince, here we have...... a peddler! Yep, a humble peddler is our MC. So, it's given fact that the anime will involve economics and yeah... a lot of talking
...
too. Even so, even when you somehow flunk your economics class in high school, you don't have to worry about having to read your old textbook since you'll still understand a bit of what's happening to them without a proper knowledge of economics (But, it's advised to have at least a basic knowledge of economics for the best experience)
Ah, if you're looking for romance, I have to say this up front. The romance is there but, it's lacking. They tease you here and there but they never actually enter such relationship. It's cute to see their interaction, though.
As for the character, it mostly progresses around the duo MC and their everyday life as a peddler. It progresses nicely in my opinion. You will end up caring for the two over the course of the story.
I really love this anime. It's a breath of fresh air for me from my usual watching list. I have my doubt when watching this but I give it a try anyway. Needless to say, I have no regret

There's anime that gives you a story so sweet, you could die of diabetes. There's anime where the protagonist is the personification of justice and good deeds. Then there's Youjo Senki.
The Saga of Tanya The Evil follows the story of a salaryman transported into another world when he died in the old world. I know, this sounds a lot like TONS OF ANOTHER ISEKAI ANIME! But, seriously, instead of making the isekai stuff the main point, they just tweak the old world a bit (thus, magic was present). The protagonist is then transferred into a body of an orphaned girl. For an isekai anime, they
...
took a sharp turn here. The protagonist early life is pitiable.
The story is filled with a fighting scene such as human dogfighting (it sounds weird but trust me, half of this series filled with human dogfighting another human mid-air), massacre, shelling, gunfight, and many more. This makes the anime an action anime by default. The art is nice considering the studio is pretty new, this is their best work so far. Oh, and it really resembles our own history (minus the magic part). Watching this makes you want to learn actual history. Some of the people uneducated in military terms should proceed with caution since this anime contain a lot of military jargon and terms. Otherwise, it's really enjoyable.
As for the sound, the OP and ED are good. The VA for Tanya is superb. The rest? Meh
Character? Only Tanya gets the progression, the rest is a walking cannon fodder with personality as deep as a puddle
Overall, this is very good. I enjoy watching this a lot

It's rare for an anime to be able to create a moment of suspense during the entirety of the show. Higashi no Eden managed to perfectly pull this nicely
So, the story starts with a pretty great plothole here and there since the MC is amnesiac and can't remember the last thing he did. There's also a nice backstory about a failed attempt of missile strike at Japan 3 months prior to the start of the series. As you progress, this two concept will be intertwined and makes a very interesting story.
There's also a bit of romance here but, it does not really take the highlight
...
since this is a mystery based anime.
The voice actors are good. Some of you who familiar with seiyuu may recognize a famous name on the payroll. The OP also fit the scene and the atmosphere.
Even so, they leave many things unanswered for now but the movie gonna cover it up. Oh... The character here isn't flat or one-dimensional. You get to sympathize with them and maybe understand their reasoning.
I enjoy this very much and I'd like to say "Great work, Production I.G"

Arakawa Under The Bridge
Looks like romance but actually, the main plot doesn't revolve around it. So, for you who wants some serious romance, this is not a fitting choice. This is a comedy show like Gintama. It has some philosophical moment and the blend of serious and comedy moments are perfectly synchronized. The character is superb because everyone is unique on its own.
Well, let me give you a bit of a clue about what this show is all about
"A man on a journey to find what the true meaning of common sense". I mean, if everyone you encounter was hundredth as crazy as these characters,
...
you'll go insane as well. The comedy revolves around comic relief and gag. There's also good romance here and there slip in between.
So, I think this is a good comedy show if you like something around the concept of "Gintama" and "Monogatari"

Nekomonogatari: Kuro is basically a prequel to Bakemonogatari in terms of story but, for me, it was an extension of the Tsubasa Cat arc. This is another piece of the puzzle for Hanekawa's progression.
To put it straight, this is the part where we get to be introduced to the meddlecat for the first time so, for the sake of the story, you need to watch this. There's a bit of Shinobu background story thrown here too. For those who want to know Shinobu better, watch this as well.
The art is..... a usual kind. Nothing in particular improves. They still use the same style for the
...
whole series but the colorful art style is reduced here in favor of a dark looking environment.
Almost everyone you know here lost their screen time (Except for Shinobu and Koyomi and Hanekawa) since this is way before Bakemonogatari starts. Everyone's favorite character make a comeback here too.... Yeah, that's right! Oshino Meme! The goddamn Oshino MEME!
Watch this. Watch THIS. IF YOU SKIP THIS, THEN YOU EITHER LOST OR NEVER INTERESTED IN MONOGATARI SERIES IN THE FIRST PLACE
