Both mangas show characters stranded somewhere they do not know with strange creatures around them, and trying to find out how they got there, what happened or how to escape proved to be a fatal journey.. However, i believe one was executed and explained much better than the other..

If you liked Maison Ikkoku add

...then you might like Hana yori Dango add

Even though the plots are quite different, the fact that misunderstandings always pile up and cause the relationship to grow apart is very similar between the two.. Both are good long romantic comedies but keep in mind that the art in both starts hideous and gradually becomes much better later on

...then you might like Threads of Time add

In both mangas, the main character gets thrown back in time for a specific purpose which gets to be revealed later.. both include war, romance, revenge, great characters and brilliant plots that offer great reads for MAL users who love this genre :)

...then you might like Moe Kare!! add

shoujo fans of love triangles where you like both the guys in the senario wont be disappointed by both plots, they were both really fun to read with a really good story and art and happens within a school environment

If you liked Otokomae! Beads Club add

...then you might like Beast Master add

i thought the 2 stories were similar because of the main male characters, leo and akumi are really similar in many ways, they even looked like eachother sometimes.. anyhoo both are really nice short stories, and worth to be read ^^

If you liked Busou Renkin add

...then you might like Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann add

though not similar by story or characters, but by the fact that both show you that villains don't have to be bad or evil.. there's always a good motive behind their actions
