Mystery shows with supernatural / sci-fi elements with plot twists all around... You usually wouldn't expect supernatural elements to feel similar to sci-fi elements but it's certainly not the case here. I watched Id:Invaded after I watched Shiguang Dailiren and after a certain episode I was like "Hey? This kind of reminds me of that one other show I watched a while back!" Although the main characters don't give off the same vibes, with having characters who dive into people's minds / photographs and solve crimes, the stories truly are similar to eachother! Also, each episode usually tells us about a new case and gives us bits of information about the main characters. I do think you will like the other if you watched and liked one of them!

While Banana Fish tells a story which includes gang wars and Great Pretender tells a story about scammers, they are similar in lots of ways. The first obvious similarity is that they both tell us about a Japanese guy going to US who gets in contact with people who do illegal acts. Mature themes, tragic backstories, nice character development and drama can be seen in both. The telling of the stories are fast-paced so they keep the watcher entertained and wanting to watch more. The most important difference between the two in story telling is that to me; Banana Fish feels darker in a lot of ways while Great Pretender feels more focused on comedy. Although this is the case, they have their dark and light-hearted moments and these moments are generally balanced really well. They have similar vibes, so I am guessing you would like the other if you seen and liked one of them.
