I CANNOT UNDERSTATE HOW SHIT THIS ENTIRE FCKING SERIES IS, IF I COULD GIVE IT LESS THAN A 1 I WOULD.
18 years of serialisation, years of acting like a complete diva who boasts about how you're gonna do this awesome shit and cry when everyone else wants to do it, only to end the manga with lol JK im not gonna do the thing i promised to do and just END THE ENTIRE FCKING SERIES WITH NO WAY TO CONTINUE IT
absolute garbage author
So rewind the stage back to 1988
when saint seiya was going to release its 3rd anime movie, and they were set to use
...
the character apollo who was athenas brother.
BUT kumada threw a fit and went nooooooo youre not allowed to use him, im gonna use him for my series D:< so they had to come up with some bullshit anime original character thats totally not just apollo trust.
cut to the end of seiya manga, where it gets cancelled due to low readership and so kumada could no longer do said apollo arc.
BUT, a miracle happened, when toei adapted the hades arc of the manga that was never adapted, it got enough viewership to make toei and kumada realise oh we can continue this
so they made a movie sequel in 2004 FINALLY about apollo and what the continuation would be.
OFC we cant have that now can we, so kumada had issues with the adaptation fsr and cut ties with toei,
saying he wont work with them anymore and so he made his own sequel for the manga
this one, next dimension
now u would THINK it would finally be about apollo right? after all this diva behavior haha no
he decided to REUSE THE SAME PLOT OF SAINT SEIYA, THE FCKING SANCUTRARY ARC for 18 years instead of doing anything meaninful with said time.
during this time, lost canvas was also released and despite being the better written series covering the same plot, its forced to be non canon so kumada can do this self fallating sancutary garbage plot for 18 years.
all this while he still continues to whine when the anime does shit like want to use a cahracter taht he planned to use in next dimension
while approving shitty spinoffs that he was completely ok with them stealing established villains
absolute clown of an author
burn all saint seiya books tbh
dude baited everyone for over 30 years and thsi is the result

In a Worldline far removed from the one piece world, lies a story that is being told. A tragic story of one who wanted to bring about a new era. Her name was Uta and this is her story, one of laughter, tragedy and warmth.
This movie is a condensation of everything themeatic about one piece and its pretty sad that alot of people dont seem to get it, but praise the series as for its deep themes and maturity.
IS it just because this movie is non canon?
Is it just because theyre salty shanks isnt evil nor does he fit their headcanon of what he should
...
be?
Is it just because they dont like the musical aspect or Uta?
Is it just because they think this is just a ripoff of naruto?
Perphas its all of this, we will never know but lets get this out of the way.
Yes the movie could be better paced, and it defintely could use more runtime, i wont dare to tell you otherwise, but im just saying to understand the kind of story oda wanted to tell.
The basic plot of the movie is in laymans term
> the strawhats and a whole bunch of other important characters just decided to drop everything theyre doing and attend the concert of this new diva idol called uta.
> We find out from luffy that she's shanks daugther.
> She then evantually turns on luffy for being a pirate whom she proclaims to hate
> She traps all the pirates that attended her show and chased after luffy with her fans.
That's it, the whole rest of the series is just a mystery box of figuring out Uta's goals, her motive, her powers and resuce everyone.
In a different worldline,
we cut to a kakera sprinked throughout the story which tells of uta's relationship with luffy .
TBH this was my favorite part of the movie,
as oda has said before this movie challenges luffy beyond just physically and its shown throughtout the film
Uta isnt someone luffy wants to actually beat, nor does he directly attack her for anything, hes being challenged mentally and emotionally, hes confused that someone he used to know turned out so different.
It was never about just beating the opponent in this case.
Its about truly understanding why someone would turn to the dark side.
Sometimes the answer is never just about beating the opponent to be done with it.
OF course, in the end this is a box office action movie for a battle manga so ofc it ends in a big thrown down fight against a giant thing with alot of sakuga which im cool with but can see why others find it a controversial film.
On another facet of the kaleidoscope, the mystery element i would agree is handled pretty badly, which is one of the few elements i would say is handled badly and would agree on.
So much buildup for all this mystery elements, only for most of it to be plot expo dumped on us in the last 3rd of the film. And utas motive which were initially great, ended up being filmsy after a certain reveal.
The musical elements to be honest tied in super well with the plot and premise, its the ideal mix. I dont see why people are upset with it tbh, it makes the film unique and gives it color. It ties in very well with the theme of the movie, music uniting people.
The themes, which is imo the best and my favorite parts of the film.
There are quite a few but i would say theres 3 main ones.
- Music unites people, as i mentioned eariler. The symbolism is best shown when everyone unites to defeat the big bad, who is named after a musical entity, they unite everyone with a singular goal and even before that, utas entires goal is to unite the world with her music, if you replace the theme of music with freedom and you literally get your main theme of one piece right there.
- Life may be hard but that doesnt mean escapism is good. The NPCs characters were initially happy at being able to escape and even desire for escape from the cruel world and reality but once they got it, they started to realise it wasnt good and wanted out. This ties into the next main theme very well.
-Expecations of a messiah, the show keeps emphasising that uta is the savior that will bring the world peace and save the suffering people which evantually leads to her mental breakdown and her deranged plan. Both ties into the idea of toxic otaku mindset.
Both idol worship and escapism are prominent in reality these days, and no wonder the world is a shit place.
But that doesnt make it ok for you to escape into a false reality nor is it ok to look for a false savior , whether it be an imganiary one or a real one.
And yet all of this ties into the deeper one piece lore too, luffy DOES end up being the messiah of sort, and he will evantually be one for spoilers reasons, if you know you know.
The climax scene power up is reflected on that, he will evantually bring freedom to the world, but he wont force it on anyone like uta does and that in lies the key difference.
Heck even in the movie, luffy only got fully serious once he saw uta truely suffering and she wanted to be saved as well as once he fully got her story straight.
Heck the idol worship theme is also a good mirror for luffys worship of shanks, he worships him but he knows that shanks isnt an end all god, hes just someone luffy wants to surpass, and hes able to see shanks for who he really is, hence why he knew uta was wrong about shanks from the beginnging.
All in all its a good film, haters capping.
Maybe in a different Heaven, this film will be better apperciated

The Few Things I Can Do For Anna Even Though I Didn't Deserve To Be Born.
Firstly i would just like to say, the title has nothing to do with the synopsis whatsoever, nor even has anything to do with the main character.
Anna is an interesting manga, that i honestly have no idea what it is trying to go for.
It's initial premise and first half of the manga is it embracing a hentai escapism plot with a twist. It shows the main character as a worthless piece of shit human that tried to make things right for himself, but due to his own stupidity and
...
the good ol bullies abusing poor otaku mc for their hobbies, he becomes a straight up asshole and basically an mc from a hentai manga. So far, the manga seems fairy straight forward, a manga with a time travel premise that just takes longer than usual to turn into a hentai. So far so good. just need the mc to either rape the loli, i fap to it and we call it a day.
Of course, when there's like around 14 chapters left and it looks like he was gonna enact his plan, the other main character appears. Our other main character, whom i shall dub title girl takes the stage for the 2nd half of the manga.
This is where... the manga gets quite messy. It tries to go for a cat vs mouse , with our male mc enacting a plan while title girl tries to stop him, which leads to a lot of death and edginess.
Then the manga tries to pull a huge twist which, while i saw coming somewhat, i didnt expect it to be so... touchy. No spoilers, but all i can say is that the title is actually refering to the female mc, hence me calling her title girl.
The 2nd half tried to go for the cat chasing mouse type story as i mentioned, while also trying to come off as emotionally deep and tragic , forgetting that since everyone in this manga beside the 2 main characters, are fcking kids, it just makes the whole thing come off as laughable. Like especially when you consider, if they weren't 12 year old kids, the whole thing would come off as less... illegal.
Conclusion, anna tries to be 2 different type of story but does nothing with both of them.
It tries to be a hentai subversion, while also trying to condemn it's very premise
when it wouldn't work as a hentai due to how absurdly grounded in non hentai logic most of the time, and trying to condemn it's very premise and indirectly the time travel plot just doesn't make sense since at this point in time, most of your readers are just people who actually jerk off to fucked up hentai and you're just condemning them which, good move there brother.
Overall:
6/10 enjoyment from this contradiction of a manga,
3/10 for what it actually is

Man, now this manga is finally added on mal, and thanks to me.
With that out of the way, it's a pretty disappointing read honestly, the only part i really enjoyed were the talk about black tights .
It's too long to be a one shot idea, and way too short to do anything with any idea.
None of the plot points for conflict ever really goes anywhere , like female lead knowing about nat chan,
nat chan herself is far too unaware and dense to the point of disbelief.
The main point of conflict is just washed away in the last few chapter and suddenly she has
...
a lot of friends, and the confession is just basic with no conclusion

--2/3 chaps are translated, and the last chap still isn't so i just read the raw and figured out the plot--
As a fan of NTR-blackmail-rape-mindbreak , i noticed its hard to find 1 that's vanilla. No weird outfits, no piercing, no other fetish even. Just want a simple old or fat man using blackmail to rape a school girl in her school uniform, and she tries to resist it but evantually crave the D cause she's a slut, bonus if the girl ever stripes down to nothing but her socks at some point.
While this manga doesn't have that last point sadly =/, it does
...
have everything else
plain vanilla black mail rape with sailor seifuku.
The NTR element also comes up super strong in the last chap when the "evil teacher" lets her go and she can now just have sex with her bf whenever she wants but she realised she can no longer be satisfied with his small cock after being broken by a big cock and having a toy stuck in her for so long, so it ends in an intense sex scene with her embracing dirty things and her being a slut

****some spoilers ahead****
Schrödonger's trap: It's not gay until you can prove a dick exists down there, without proof, a dick can exist and not exist down there at the same time.
Skirt is an interesting show to say the least, for a while when it aired it had the hentai tag on it and as of when i wrote this review, it has been removed. For a hentai, it's also barely a hentai as it's super short and actually has a romance going for it.
(yes i am aware some hentai do have romance in them but no one watches those hentai)Although calling said relationship a romance
...
can be seen as being generous with it as it also isn't much off a romance either.
So the basic of Skirt can be divided into romance and hentai section for the entire show. Every few episodes which can be divided into arcs not unlike a romance anime, where the female lead and male? lead go on dates and all of that romance anime stuff. Every end of the arc, or even in the middle of the arc sometimes has the hentai portion, where the male? lead does sex stuff with the female lead. Of course this format seems simple enough but hey with all romance anime comes the jealously and drama as seen in the 2nd last episode where the male? gets jealous and finger bangs the female out of jealously. My problem with this is that there was no warning nor enough time to prepare for this and said problem is basically solved at the end of the show in the next episode anyways, where they decide to have full blown sex.
Overall tho, i wouldn't mind admitting that i enjoyed skirt and that it's in my top 10 summer anime, and also placed quite high in my hentai list.

Demi-chan, or interview with monster girls. a series i was initially hooked onto due to it's premise. The first few episodes were actually quite good if i'm gonna be honest, but as it started to continue, it got more mediocre and as a result i also got bored.
Firstly, let's talk about the premise and how the show handled it. The story takes place in an age where "Ajin" (demi-human), more casually known as "Demi," have slowly started to become accepted into human society. Tetsuo Takahashi is a biology teacher who ends up teaching three such Demi, hoping to understand more about them while also
...
managing to catch their attention.
Now from here, the show could have went 1 out of 2 way, it could have been a cute girl doing cute things type of show, where the premise is just a backdrop and most of the show is the girls having fun in school doing cute things for comedy. The other way it could have went was the serious dramatic route, where the Demis would have their own issues and they would realize that their not alone and then they'll break out of their shells. The show opted to take the latter initially with the first 4 episodes, but after that the show starts to diverge and become a regular cute girl show, which would have been fine, but it just went nowhere. Like every episode would have an actual plot point, and most of the episode would just be cute girl stuff until near the end when it realized oh yea we had a plot thing to solve.
Secondly, why are all the Demis in this show female? If your show had something to stand on, it wouldn't need to rely on cute girls as one of it's main selling point. I see no other reason to have made all of it's main cast besides the teacher female. It's only for
1. selling the cute girl doing cute thing like i mentioned earlier.
2.so they can have a cute crush on sensei.
For the first few episodes it was okay as there was ore focus on the drama of their kind and their problems, but after all of that initial stuff, their defined by nothing more than their species and 1 quirk. The show doesn't even try to expand it's cast with interesting side characters, the vice principal would have honestly been a great obstacle for takahashi sensei being too bias and realize the Demis dont really need to rely on takahashi as much as they need to, it could have been a heartwarming moment, but it wasn't it was mediocre.
Thirdly, the show doesn't even have a good appeal to back up it's circular no where plot and empty characters. The soundtracks are average and nothing to back on, the art is nothing special, the girls don't even look remotely waifu material enough to bank on the whole waifu war fandom. Their cute, but their faces dont look all that different, and only machi looks the most varied out of the 3. There's also sato sensei who is the least sexy succubus i have ever seen, who's plot also went nowhere, she doesn't change enough to warrant that much attention to her arc, and neither did a lot of the girls to be honest, the most drastic change was yuki, who's serious arc was kinda a big contrast to the other arcs.
Last point, the show doesn't know what it want to do. It tries to be a cute girl show, yet has a lot of moments that wouldn't really fit in one, like the yuki arc. It tries to be serious, but has alot of generic school comedy moment, like the test arc or the pool arc.As the show went on and on, i didn't know where the show was headed, and i guess neither did the show. Their lives were made slightly better sure, the whole wanting to learn more about Demi aspect of sensei wasn't even remembered by the show, as they stopped caring about it and the girls aren't even that cute, which means that after 2 episode, i stopped caring about them.
Overall, the show loses it's appeal very fast, it doesn't actually know what direction to go, it doesn't take advantage of it's unique setting to do more serious stuff, the characters are boring, and overall i lost interest in it after 4-5 episodes.

I used to believe that an adaptation that follows the source is better than an adaptation that just goes anime original. Well not blue exorcist, since it somehow made me rethink that idea.
To simplify this review, and for fun i will list 5 major flaws that i disliked about the show. Why 5?
cause Rin has 5 friends.
1.7.8/10-IGN retconning.
Similar to black butler, the show just decided eh our fans have prob read the manga, so we'll just continue as if the ending didn't happen and they know the story already. I had to google it, but from what I learnt, I could be
...
wrong on this, but after ep 15, just before Rin's sword breaks, Mephisto steps in and stop the fight, and after that the trial still happened and such but the whole part of his friends going to fix his sword apparently didn't happen. Well what a great way to start the show, just throwing us in there without telling us what was going on. Not even a single ep to tell us what happen and such, they do later on, but it's only a few scattered info here and that.
2.10/10 Villains
Don't you just love it when you don't even know why your villain is being evil? I know I sure do, and so does the author. That's why she decided to introduce a villain that we know nothing about. How did he know all of this information about the impure king eyes and such? Nope nothing. Why is he doing this? Nope nada. Instead we just have it appear in the 1st episode, which gives our main cast a reason to be on guard, after like 4 eps, suddenly appears again, and such wow he managed to make everything go according to keikaku. Then oh that's not actually his plan, this is. Then he just stays there... doesn't escape, doesn't try to actively kill people, nothing. Just hangs around like a stoner.
3.100/10 powers.
God, like i have never been so bored by action scenes before. The show tries to be both cool action and logical at the same time. What do i mean by that?
Cool action would be a show like Dragon Ball Z, there's very little rule and logic behind their superpowers and it's all raw action. It's just people throwing their power at each other, hoping to over power them.
Logical action series would be something like Hunter X Hunter where their power is well detailed and explained, we know about Nen, how it works and the limitations of it, and battles are fought with strategy and the person having the strongest Nen doesn't automatically make them a winner.
This show tries to be both, which isn't a fault by itself, but does it so badly. Like the few fights there is in the show just makes no sense. They have guns, exorcist spells, those staff things, familiar, but there's no semblance of strategy or explanation about how they use any of this and the differences and situations to use them. Then there's suddenly also elemental rock paper scissors and bullets blessed by holy water can stop the main villain.
4.1337/10 action.
continuing on from point 3, where i mentioned how the show handles fights so horribly. Well continuing on from there, the show has very little action to offer in the first place. I know i shouldn't be expecting much for a 12 ep anime series, but come on. Keijo had better fights going for it, and Keijo is a freaking anime with a stupid premise. Due to the previous mentioned point, the fights are usually boring since they dont go either way. No over the top action or destruction and also no logical thinking that puts you on the edge of your seat making you think oh crap what are they gonna do next. Add on the main villain is overpowered as hell, and that being 1 of arguably 4 fights in the series. There's no tension in that fight at all. Regen is a lame way to make your villain overpowered, and like always the mangaka didn't bother to set a limit, making that whole fight a beat down, even when they overpowered him, there's no joy in it. Don't even get me started on the final fight.
5.8008/10 atmosphere.
This is one of my major grievance with this show. Like the show has this whole serious atmosphere. Yes i know this is a serious event, and there's people who's lives are in danger but come on. It made me more apathetic towards them. It's just bleak, and what's more since the main character, I mean Rin, doesn't seem to care all that much and does nothing to help, why should I?
I don't have a good closing line, so you get this.
My overall score for the show:
Critical-2.5/5
enjoyment-1.5/5
Total-4/10
*insert feelsbadman emote here*
