Both shows follow a character that is intent on taking over/destroying the world. However in the process of doing so this character takes on the position of a job. Similar styles of humor as both have a lot of jokes centered around the main character's career option. The Devil is a Part-Timer! features a lot of jokes about fast food while Assassination Classroom features a lot of classroom humor. Despite the intentions of the main characters both are actually very likable characters and some of the jokes come from how they interact with other characters.

You want shows that don't hold back in low brow vulgar humor? Look no further than these two! Prison School and Panty & Stocking both have no qualms about getting down and dirty.... LITERALLY! However rather than using vulgar humor for shock, both of these shows embrace their style of humor and go above and beoynd with how obscene they can get. Panty & Stocking uses every opportunity it can to make immature jokes as eventful as possible while Prison School doesn't hold back in making sexual jokes and toilet humor and centers the gags around some intense scenarios. Neither series really run out of steam either and do a lot to make sure that the audience's reactions just get more and more shocking.

The stakes are high! At any moment any character in the cast can and will drop dead. Both of these shows involve characters being placed in situations where their life is constantly on the line. In Akame ga Kill! characters fight each other with weapons called Imperial Arms (or Teigu) and the result of these battles is often fatal. In Danganronpa the characters must kill another character in order to "graduate" while surviving the verdict of a class trial. If you're into shows where characters are constantly in danger then either one of these will do for you.

Akame ga Kill!

In times of oppression, those who have been taken advantage of are going to do what is in their power to fight back. The end result is that no matter how good your intentions are... the actions you take in your battle against the establishment can make you as bad as those who took advantage of you. While two different kinds of manga this is the central theme I find unifies Akame ga Kill! and A Certain Scientific Railgun. Like how Akame ga Kill! focuses on a renegade group getting back at a corrupt government by committing assassinations, A Certain Scientific Railgun also shows the desperate lengths people will go through when society takes advantage of them. In turn the establishments presented in both series are in the gray zone as well. Both have an objective that appears well intentioned (suppressing a revolution in Akame ga Kill!, scientific advancement in Railgun) but are blind to the fact that their actions are causing harm to the people. In a sense the moral dilemmas in Railgun based around science can be seen as a modern equivalent to the political moral dilemmas in Akame ga Kill! If you look at both of these series as people vs. establishment conflicts then I'm very sure that if you liked one you'll probably enjoy the other.
