Harry Potter is an incredible thing. Rarely has a children's book managed to catch such a wave… And not even imitations, but subtly left references, reinterpretations. Little Witch Academia, not such an obvious example, nevertheless worthy of viewing and discussion. The shortcomings of the original, which, of course, exist in all works, have been thoughtfully corrected. Take, for example, postman owls. in the magical world there is also the Internet. This series is not really about the academy, even if this word is even in its title. It's about the incredible adventures of the main characters and, most importantly, about a dream — so strong, capable of overcoming clumsiness, disorganization and outright lack of talent. Yes, lessons, of course, is present, but insofar as. Although, I can't remember an anime about a school where an important place in the narrative was given to study. The girl Ako wants to learn magic, which she imagines as fireworks and magic tricks that she saw as a child. However, the school and the aristocratic skeptic Diana are sure that magic is something more than rainbow explosions. I watched this series with sparkling eyes, but the question did not leave me — how did Ako get into the academy, given that she is "an ordinary schoolgirl from Japan" (quote). But, "Little Witch Academia, it's not about the plot—it's simple, without any philosophical reflections on the topic. The merit of the "Academy" is a unique visual. What is the bombing scene on the castle from the dragon! Wow, it's breathtaking! And do not forget about the expressive, charming character designs, to the deepest penetration into the images.
"Little Witch Academia" is a great choice for beginner otaku. I advise you to definitely watch this anime.
