Tenkuu Danzai Skelter+Heaven

Two of the worst anime in existence. You'll probably not have a blast watching these two OVA's because they are notorious for being masterpieces of trash. I can't say much about the characters or the plot in either series because there is nothing worth mentioning about them whatsoever.

I did not like both of these anime due to how messy their stories were, but if you like to watch stuff that might as well make you cry, smile, and laugh, then check both of them out. They were made by the same writer, Maeda Jun.

Haikyuu!!

Both anime are character-driven and are obviously about sports. The main difference is that both series focus on different sports, namely basketball and volleyball. One of them is realistic but highly intense (Haikyuu) and the other is exaggerated and over-the-top in action (Kuroko no Basuke). Nevertheless, if you like either anime, then there's no doubt that you'll like the other as well.

Durarara!!

Durarara!! was written and created by the exact same person who made Baccano!, and the same animation studio, Brain's Base, also happened to have animated both series as well. Both series are unique in that each of the characters are perfectly used, and they also happen to have supernatural elements added into the plot. Durarara!! takes place in a large, huge city in modern- day Tokyo while Baccano! is set in Chicago during the 1930's. Each series might have characters with different personalities, but they are all similar in many ways.

Dragon Ball Z

Both Dragon Ball Z and Yu Yu Hakusho are awesome shounen anime. They are also classics, and the latter is said to be the spiritual successor to Dragon Ball Z. One way that you could compare the two anime are in its art/animation quality and its themes. If you watch either anime, then you might as well start watching the other anime if you haven't already.

Boku no Hero Academia

Both series are about superheroes fighting against super villains. One Punch Man is a seinen and Boku no Hero is a shounen but they both have a surprisingly similar plot. On the other hand, one is a parody and the other is not.

Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch

Death Note isn't exactly similar to Code Geass but they both have main characters who are practically the same person. Lelouch from Code Geass and Light Yagami from Death Note are absolutely amazing characters. They are both geniuses, they possess some type of absolute power, and they are also undeniably very likable characters.

Log Horizon

At first glance, Log Horizon is just another anime that can easily be perceived as a carbon copy of Sword Art Online. However, after I watched just a couple of episodes, it is actually distinct from SAO. Log Horizon has a very similar premise, but the characters are different, and the fights are all based on strategies. It is also slower paced and none of the characters are overpowered.
