Isekai Shokudou

I know Isekai Shokudou feels like Death Parade because it is episodic - each episode 1 or 2 different stories about other characters. But to me the mood feels more happy. Natsume Yuujinchou and Isekai Shokudou are more similar. Both have fantasy elements: Natsume Yuujinchou the Youkai and Isekai Shokudou the fantasy world and the fantasy characters that visit the restaurant. There are different stories centered about episodic characters and some of the characters are recurring. Natsume Yuujinchou has the focus on Natsume - the main character. Isekai Shokudou has the focus on the episodic characters. The stories in both anime contain a mix of different moods. Some are happy, some more melancholic. If you liked one of these anime I'd say give the other one at least a try.

Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho
add

Both are set in a fantasy world where the female main character is a magic user hunted by enemies. The female main characters are accompanied by one or more mercenaries with whom they have a promise/contract. The plot is a about traveling/adventuring and searching for something. (Hitsugi no Chaika: The remains of the emperor. / Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho?: A magical tome.) [At the time of writing this recommendation only 1 episode of Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho? had been released. I tried to estimate/predict the direction this anime would take.]

Tantei Opera Milky Holmes

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!
add

Both are parodies that heavily rely on exaggeratedly silly/stupid behavior of the main characters. Tantei Opera Milky Holmes parodies detective and magical girl series. The main characters are four girls that rely on "toys" to help them with their detective work. Those toys work similar to magical items in magical girl series. The girls are utterly stupid and often fail which is pretty funny. Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! parodies fantasy adventure anime where a male main character gets sent to a fantasy world. (A pretty common setting nowadays.) Unlike your usual series of this kind the male main char in this series is the only normal/sane character of his party. The comedy comes from the three girls that join him. Each of the girls has some kind of personality disorder leading to stupid/silly behavior and the male main character has to deal with this. There are also some situations where you'd expect the party to end up as heroes - but some bad luck ruins it (and it is fun to see their reactions then).

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu
add

They might seem different at first - the one is about the art of storytelling (rakugo) the other one is about sports (ping pong/table tennis). But you should easily recognize they are similar if you watch them both. I'd never recommend any other generic sports anime to Ping Pong. Ping Ping is more than just sports. Also ganbatte anime are different from this. Ping Pong and Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu are both character-driven and about two guys that are connected by ping pong (Ping Pong) and rakugo (Shouwa Renroku Rakugo Shinjuu). While they are friends they also are rivals. You don't need to know anyting about ping pong/rakugo to enjoy the anime. You don't even need to like that stuff. (I don't even like sports at all and I loved Ping Pong.) It's about the guys and as a guy myself I like such stories about guys and friendship and conflict that is not overshadowed by action stuff or romance which usually takes the main part in most of other animes.

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu

They are both stories about two youthful guys and their dreams. Arts are involved. While Sakamichi no Apollon deals with music Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu deals with the art of storytelling (rakugo). Also a bit of romance is involved where the two guys are interested in the same girl. Afaik they are based on jousei manga because women in Japan seem to like stories about guys? I myself as a guy can say: I liked them both because as I guy I also like stories between guys. It's easy to understand the guys' motivations and behaviour even if it seems irrational sometimes. They are both character-driven and the romance does not take a big part of the screentime. It's more about the guys and the relationship between them and the hobby/work that connects them.

Ajin

In both there are humans that need to hide because of supernatural stuff. The Ajin need to hide because of their abilities which the government wants to exploit and experiment on. In Kiseijuu the parasites are aliens that want to hide because of their plans and the main character is someone that kept control over his body and is all by himself like the main character in Ajin. Both are involved/confronted with others of their "race" what want to harm humanity. And they don't want to work together with them. (Which means they need to hide from other humans and from others of their "race".) Politics are involved in both. In Kiseijuu the parasits infiltrate political positions. In Ajin they Ajin try to influence the politics through fear and terrorism.

I liked them both. So maybe you'll like them both as well. Unfortunately it's already been some time since I watched Desetsu Yuusha no Densetsu (DenYuuDen). As far is I remember it got some political stuff involved which also is the case in Gate (politics within the empire of the fantasys world and between Japan and that empire). The male main characters were laid-back and cool guys. Ryner from DenYuuden often likes to take his afternoon nap even if there is other important stuff to do. Itami from Gate puts his hobbies (he is an Otaku) first. They are still both responsible and to their job (they are soldiers) if needed. And they are pretty good at it and strong. There is a lot of fighting and good action and nice secondary charakters. Gate is more focused on modern warfare with the Japanese army and their technology invading the fantasy empire. But you also get to see the old-style fantasy stuff of the empire. Magic is also a bit involved. DenYuuDen is heavily focused on magic.

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime
add

Soredemo Sekai and Akagami no Shirayuki-hime are both set in a medieval-like fantasy world. They both are about a girl that starts to work/live with the prince of a kingdom at the castle. Soredemo Sekai's heroine is a bit stronger and the hero - the prince - is younger than her. Also there is a little bit magic involved (her song influencing the rain) while Akagami no Shirayuki-hime (as far as I can remember) was without magic. If you liked one of these shows I'd recommend the other one because both are interesting because of politics that are involved and the romance seems more authentic/realistic to me than in the very long "school shoujo" you usually got where there are always misunderstandings to keep the story going in order to go through all the different holidays, school festivals, valentines day and so on. Both of these anime dont' have such "forced" romance because there is still a lot of other stuff to deal with. This also makes them a bit different from Akatsuki no Yona - which also is recommended often because of the red-haired heroine. From my opinion I can say: I liked Akatsuki no Yona less because it was more travelling around and less overall politics at the court which I thought to be more interesting in Akakamig no Shirayuki-hime and in Soredemo Sekai.
