*THIS REVIEW CONTAIS SPOILERS*
"Akatsu no Requiem would have been a masterpiece ending" Yeah, is cool and all but, A FKNG ENDING WITH A TIME LOOP OR A DAMMIT RETURN TO THE ORIGINAL WORLD OF THE HIGHT SCHOOL WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER?! REALLY?!
First of all I want to say that this is my first review, and with all the hate is receiving i really need to write this. Also, sorry for my English but i'm not a native speaker.
STORY:
We start with an horror atmosphere, that with the Isayama's raw style is really perfect. Then the story goes political, we learn that there's humanity outside

the walls, and Titans are the last problem now. The true evil is the human. Then we see the other side of the ocean, the Warriors that we so hated are now victims of this "forest". Eren goes crazy, everybody goes crazy, we have been introduced to the PATHS, then after ch 124, for a lot of people the manga is just trash. AND NO, we've seen a lot of good things. The start of the rumbling, Who is wrong, the Warriors and Soldiers are now eating together, and then, the last 5 chapter.
There's obviously there has been a decline, all appens too much fast, there's still a lot of things that are still unknown, but i think that is better so. Yeah, is a lot conventionally for the plot, but interpret a thing not explayned is also good. I hope that something will be explained in the anime, but in 5 fricking chapter what do you want to do? Yeah, Isayama it's been really wrong to go in a hurry, and there's no excuse, but the manga is still incredible, it has a lot of important themes and beautiful dialogue. (Yeah, that in 139 beetween Armin and Eren was kinda meh, but we'll talk about it soon) For exaple the speech of Sasha's Father about keep children away from the war, wich i think that basically tell the exact moral of SnK.
*But now let's talk about the ENDING*
Could it been better? Definitely.
The big problem of the ending is that only 52 pages can't make an ending that is really satisfiting. I would like to know more about Ymir, the conversation of Eren and Historia and his childbirth, but the chapter DOESN'T break all the series. And first of all; IT DOESN'T RUIN THE EREN'S CHARACTER.
CHARACTER:
Realistic character is really a key point of SnK, and Eren is one of those.
Eren's character has always been the same, and he also said it in ch 123.
Eren from the very beginning was just an annoyed and selfish child (and this explain the fact that in paths he's shown as a kid) that after learning that there was other people in the world he was disappointed. And this makes Eren just a childish person that think the world revolves around itself, he had no big giga chad brain plan, he only wanted to be with the people he love, and with no other person. And he realize his selfshness when he say to Ramzi that he's sorry. He realize that it's just for his dream to eradicate the world that Sasha a lot of other people, and also is mother had to die for this. If is mother wasn't been eaten by a titan, Eren would never hated so much titans, and never freed the world from this curse.

And all that "I will wrap you around this scarf as many times as you want" ?
Yeah, the fact that Eren never told his feeling to Mikasa and he say all in 139 is a bit meh, BUT WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BATTLE TO SAY "MIKASAS I LOVE YOU UWUOWO?
Eren has never been honest whit himself, as I've already said, the only thing that he cares are his friends/beloved, he's never been the Giga Chad that wants to save all the world, he wanted to do a full rumbling, then he "gave up on his dreams and died". Yeah, this thing could have been specified, but sadly Isayama wanted to go in his onsen as soon as possible, but he doesn't deserves hate for this choices, he has written a beautiful story.
*I will update this rewiev after a re-reading, yeah, at the end this review it's just about the ending.*
OVERALL
Maybe it wasn't clear, but i like the Eren character, I enjoyed the ending, and it made me really crying (At the end Ellen became a dove, but I was the one to cry :")). But beyond the enjoyment yeah, the ending is not a masterpiece of course, but with this review i only wantend to say that is not terrible and doesn't deserve all this hate. This end is not just "yay power of friendship wins", Eren is dead, and Mikasa is really depressed, the circle of hate is not ended, so it's not a completely Good Ending.
So, for the story I give ian 8. There's some things that could have been specified, but in complex the tematic are really good, and are written good.
Also for the Art i give an 8. Yeah, in the first 40 ch was not good, but the Isayama's style for titan is just perfect, then after the rumbling the art is really amazing, and i liked a lot.
For the Character i give a 10. I know, in the last chapter Reiner and Jean (Two of my favorite character) as been reduced to a meme, but leaving out this all the character are really realistic and good.
I got introduced just one year ago with the anime, I fell in love with the atmosphere and character, then before season 4 I did a revision of the events reading manga, then I continued the manga, ch 136 was my first experience of reading a currently ongoing manga, I really had fun also with the reddit sub r/Titanfolk, the leak tread was amazing, the Madagascar Teory and the leggendary "Ellen becomes dove (crying)" that has been predicted in the leaks tread of 137, and now in 139 makes sense, all of this was leggendary. Yeah, unfortunatly there's a lot of toxic Jeagerist and EH shipper in that sub, but it's been a good short trip. Also, the ending made me genuiley cry, so for the Enjoyment i give 10.
