I really gratefull finally madhouse take this Overlord with serious budget compare season 3 (which is the worst visual on this series). So i can guarantee you'll not disappoint by the visual or animation. Of course there's still cgi but this use only for a massive character that has the same race or similiar design (and Undead Army Ainz).

But this price really high enough. It makes a lot of cut content from the original source (ofc they also did on previous season). But compare to previous season, this season original source has a double content from previous season. And they make it only 4/5 episode ... which is blasphemy.

So logically speaking, if the previous season pervolume has 250 pages and it got 4/5 episode Anime adaptation, then this season pervolume that has 500 pages more or less should be had 8 or 10 episode (pervolume). Instead doing that they just crop cut and force to only 4/5 eps per volume.

Well this is common problem with LN adaptation to anime. Ok let's say i don't care. So make it just well executed and enjoy to watch. Which is they did but also ruined. They make a good eps until eps 4 coming.

Really. Eps 4 has the most fast pace and a lot cut content and not well executed (the dialogue part). I already said now you don't need to worry about the visual and animation. But you need to worry for the dialogue/conversation will feel fast pace.

SPOILER ALERT!

Osk dialouge with Ainz they make it trash in this anime adaptation. On LN they dialogue/conversation is one of the best Maruyama writing skills. I love the dynamic of them that, Ainz being ex-salaryman and salesman then Osk is the great merchant also businessman. Unlike in the anime. Osk not willing immidietaly to accept Ainz purpose/request to fight warrior king/go gin. He ask some compensation if Warrior King dead. It's tell you characteristic Osk has as a businessman (or merchant). But the anime just give you his other character that has a kink to muscle woman which is not wrong but just only that they show you in this anime.

Well i don't mind they cut some content but the problem is they need to be perfect executed. And this in Osk case is an example of poorly executed.

Anyway. Event this isn't perfect adaptation i still enjoy it. Cause this is OVERLORD. I can't find the story' that with the same feel as Overlord has. Even they had same concept or genre they still different with Overlord.

So yeah no matter what it is i still enjoy Overlord. And when you think about it what a scary scene. What if they do 3CGI like berserk, i'll still watch it since i love the story' and all and no one with the same concept as good as Overlord did (atleast for me)

First of all i'm not a fans of Jujutsu. I watch the main series about 5 episodes if i recall correctly. I know the basic of it.

Ok now to the review.

I'm surprise with the quality of the visual and animation. It's really good. Though not the best but really good. I enjoy that part alot.

BUT. Idk the details how it works when you creating anime BUT MAPPA always using a Western soundtrack music or english song that not fit with the scene. It always happen, for example on AoT final season it's the worst. I don't mind western song unless they fit with the anime ... itself. If not then don't use it!. Especially this Jujutsu setting on Japan so why did you using such an Western song!. I can get it if the main series using it since the MC is a fans of such a popular person in the west. The worst of all it's really Edgy. They song they use it really f Edgy when comes to battle scene. It not fit well, it's cool but didn't have what the feeling MC give out during the battle scene. It's just cool with the visual but you not feeling anything from it. Example what i'm talking about? AoT in the hand of wit studio it's the perfect Example, "that's not Shounen jump!". Oh ok Jojo, idk if you watch that, that's quite good example too, the soundtrack always give you a chill and feeling for the character because the soundtrack didn't have a lyrics just instruments that fit well when the character monologing themself.

Anyway the point is MAPPA problem is they can't make a fit soundtrack with a scene. Though they did a good job with visual and animation, though they really good job with Opening and Ending anime. Idk wtf the staff on division soundtrack doing, it's just worst. The song itself not bad but not fit well on the scenes that's what i'm talking about.

Now for the story'. It's really mediocre. I saw a post where they told the Jujutsu 0 is the best than the main series was. So i got little high expectation to it maybe i can get into the Jujutsu series from this. But nope. It's not even close. The story' really basic and average. Welp what you expect from Shounen right? But still can you make it unique? It's not unique at all. It's really basic. Little spoiler here. The basic part is the background of the MC and the reason, goals and anything of it really basic not unique at all.

Enough for that. Also what i didn't like is the pacing of the show itself at first it has slow pacing but later on suddenly it got fast pace. Fast Pace i'm talking about it's feel they cut a whole development story'. I kinda understand cause it's movie that only has 105 minutes. But still the pacing of the shows not really good with explaining thing. Idk why it also happen on the main series.

Ok i thing that's it. I just give my honest opinion. I'm not the people where it got overhype movies then you give it overrated reviews because it's overhype.

First of all disclaimer here. I can take it the inner problem about AoT S4 has. So in this review i just reviewing the most effortless that studio can do, cause it's not directly using his crew for this. Yeah it's a soundtrack or ost. Even though the director must check this project before the finish still this is the most effortless they do. Just hire some composer or band or whatever and tell them to make an ost that fit well on some scenes.

And what MAPPA did was a really lazyness B word that i see this year. Yeah what they did using some ... western Edgy song to make a scene that really didn't fit well. And this is really away from track that what AoT really did before. Instead using tragedy music to the scene that really tragedy, gory and sad, they used a f Edgy rap western song. Good job MAPPA.

I think they mix up the ost from Jujutsu 0 or chainsaw That i believe they're Edgy song to AoT. You know MAPPA i think you should rest. Don't make my OPM S3 later be such an garbage. So please take a rest. Do nothing. Sleep well. Check your condition health. Okay.

Yeah the ost really sucks 1/10 from me.

Anything beside ost i can take it because like i said the inner problem SH*t happened.

I already read the manga first, and this adaptation really disappointing, or rather that i said as expected from isekai anime adaptation. Really i tell you what, the manga more enjoyable than this anime adaptation. I can say it's really poor execution. It's feel so fast and a lot dialogue got cut out.

What i'm pissed about is the dialogue about racism and the rule they do for whole kingdom or country it Will not solve anything but Will cost a war. And the MC mention and tell us it's very similar with our world history, he telling that with form fairy tale gods kinda ... thing for make it easy to learn.

Really the dialogue from this anime adaptation it's just not that enjoyable than the manga. And because it's a lot of dialogue when comes to war or battle it's really cringe AF on this anime adaptation.

Well like i say before. It's poorly execution. Welp i know it's really weird to compare other anime that not quite same but it is same, yeah it's saikyou ansatsu really good execution though i heard they make it the ending original so they wont Made the season 2. Yeah just LN promotion.

So i kinda glad even this anime adaptation has poor execution and not that good. They continuing this and i hope till the series is done.

Oh yeah the rating. Overall 6/10. Because i glad they continuing this series adaptation i gave one plus score.

I know it's too late for review this anime but I REALLY LOVE THIS ANIME, SO WHO GIVE A SH*T.

++ The Story it's Good AF, really interesting when you first time watching it. I can't say much about this 'cause it'll be spoiler (well maybe all of you already get the spoiler about this anime, but still i didn't want to do it).

++ The SoundTrack or Backsound what ever it's called is really perfect, it's make the moment for the MC use his power more Crucial (yeah you know what the power MC have) and it's make the feel of the thriller itself. And some ... episode their have a music themself for some arc, for example EP 7, EP 14/15 (i forgot) and it's good AF mate!. And for the Ending Song is really good too.

++ The Character well it's just like another isekai character, there's no special about it, just their attitude make it's different, but it's not bad though.

++ For the animation i can say it's really good for your eyes and it's really perfect when their move. There's almost didn't have frame skipping, it's so smooth especially when the battle scene or running or something like that.


The negative point is...

-- You really won't be able to like the main character 'cause he's really not dependable and annoying though. But he's cool for some episode and makes you want to punch him in the head.

-- After 12 episode until 14 it's more story for their politics, is just my subjectivity that i really hate POLITICS but if it's good like Code Geass wich is i really enjoyed I will thinking again about it, but this series... i really didn't enjoyed at all. I can't say any further because it'll be spoiler, but i can say it's didn't make any sense and makes you want to kick MC ass and the Main Heroine.

-- If you rewatched this series it's will be boring when the MC use his power for looping the story, 'cause you already know what he's will be doing.

*Bonus (it's a good point and negative point at once)*
++-- There has what if alternate story version for this series, i already watched and yeah there's no sub english so i read some comment that explain what happening in there, and that's really good AF, tbh the what if alternate story version is better than this (well i forget what i watched, but i think it's the MC become a badass). So i think it's really good if there have VN for this series.

So overall for this anime is 9/10. Again it's just my opinion, my subjectivity.

So this is my impression for the anime adaptation of this series.


First i'll tell you the good point for this series :

++ The story's always makes me excited. The title is not just a bunch of crap, 'cause the story indeed about Overlord that have absolut power and ruler (i think it's the same thing, idk, sry for my bad english). That's why i really like this series (And the gimmick RPG game).
...
++ The Character i can say is unique (Especially for the Guardian Floor), you can remember all of the guardian floor character so easily and for some supporting character though ('cause they're have background story , well i can't say is good or bad but it's fine).

++ IDK why i really like the atmosphere when the AOG in wise mode at the moment of the throne room, i know he is pretend doing that.

++ The Feel when AOG Battle is good AF, idk, when he's doing some duel PVP or something like that it's make my body feel like shaking.

I think that's the good point for this series
Now the negative point.... :

-- I know almost LN that have anime adaptation always get cut some of scene, character, or story so what you have to do is make a good execution for this, but in this series well... i can't say it's good enough. Just Fine but can't acceptable, you know there's character get cut and make the scene of some episode is bad, to be honest is really bad and makes some people confused (including me though).

-- The graphic is good enough but it's bad when the battle scene, And when AOG walking it's really annoying (Especially for this season) idk why but when he's walking there's something lost. And the hair.... is really bad, yeah it's good 'cause the colour but their hair fused with the body when their head looking around (Especially if their have long hair).

-- Too much character that appear but still mystery and didn't appear on the next season. And the character that didn't appear but it's been talked about by several character,
you know what i talking about here.

Overall i give 9/10 'cause i enjoyed watching this series so is just my subjectivity opinion.

Well I already review the first season wich is all of my first impression in there. So now I just make a short review.

Story : For the story there is no significant difference with the first season, well I can say in this Second Season it's prioritize more on the supporting character story wich is the story is very interesting . And this Second Season the story getting more serious. But the Story it's feel like too fast not because the episode too short but the feel of story is feel to fast, well i didn't say it's a bad thing though. (8/10)

Art : Same, ... there is no significant difference about this. (8/10)

Sound : Same again like the first season, just change the Opening and Ending song wich is it's nice to hear. (7.5/10)

Character : Now the character, there is more a lot of character in the first season didn't tell us and now in this Second Season you will know it. And with interesting story. But some of new character when didn't appear in the First Season and appear in this Season still didn't have detail about it, there is more puzzle on it. So I hope this is will be told in the Three Season. (8/10)

Enjoyment : Well I Enjoy watching this series, but in this Season there is no moment that makes me want to say "WOW!" Or "Amazing!", it's just good enough, but i didn't say this show is bad, just good enough. (9/10)

Overall : *Has been edited*. I edit this one review 'cause the subject i gave is unrelated and very inappropriate to be discussed in a discussion or review. So now i just want to say....overall it's very good 'cause at least i can see the 5 or 10 second battle scene wich is that scene is really makes my heart is really beating fast and it's feel so good. Story: I think Story is pretty good, which is I almost give 10 number, because The storyline is not too hasty . And the story is also explained in very easy to understand. Well the point is this story about MC OverPower, if you like OPM or anime type Character Main OverPower I guarantee you like this Series. (9)

Art: Well I honestly didn't know too much about this, but I think it's good because it does not make my eyes hurt. (8)

Sound: For sound is not bad. And for the song is fits perfectly ... with the atmosphere of the story that is going on, although in the beginning you didn't feel it. (8)

Character: And for the Character is really very well presented. Which is every character is not ignored, always told and the story from supporting character was very interesting. (9)

Enjoyment: I'm really Enjoy watching this Series. Although I didn't read the LN but I think this is The One of The Best OP Anime Ever Exist. Bottom line if you like Genre like this wich is the main character is OverPower I really Recommend this Overlord Series. (10)

Story : Menurut gw Story nya lumayan bagus, yg dimana hampir gw kasih 10, karena pembawaan ceritanya yg tidak terburu-buru. Dan ceritanya jg di jelaskan sangat mudah di pahami. Well intinya ini cerita tentang MC yg OverPower lah, kalo kalian suka OPM atau sejenis Anime yg Karakter Utamanya OverPower gw jamin kalian suka Seri ini. (9)

Art : Well gw jujur gk terlalu tau dgn hal ini, tp menurut gw bagus bagus aja karena tidak bikin mata gw sakit. (8)

Sound : Untuk suara not bad lah. Dan untuk Lagu jg menurut gw pas bgt sama suasana cerita yg sedang terjadi, walaupun diawal-awal kalian gak ngerasain hal tersebut. (8)

Karakter : Nah ini , menurut gw Overlord ini pembawaan Karakter sangat amat bagus. Yg dimana setiap karakter tidak di abaikan, dan selalu diceritakan sampai sampai Karakter Utama gak ada dalam 1 Episode hanya untuk memperkuat karakter yg lain. Menurut gw ini bagus. (9)
