Parody, comedy that i can say this show quite similiar. Though gintama more Shounen Jump ish. And the Sket dance is SoL high schooler. But not only that. Why this is similiar cause the VA from gintama and sket dance some of it using the same VA. And yeah idk it's consider spoiler or not. They're collaborating each other one of their eps. So it's valid they're quite similiar

Overpower MC, flexing MC, not childish Shounen MC, Demon Lord MC (though overlord you can also see him as a God). Yeah they're really similiar. But the difference is Overlord has an inner monolog that MC voice from the real world, this thing make him not fully serious kind of character. The opposite from Overlord this Maou Gakuin MC always use his serious depth voice. Not that he not funny at all. His joke is using his power to make the enemy looks like a plaything to him. Though overlord also has this but not really as often and to the point as Maou Gakuin did.
