Mixed Feelings

Are you Interested in a change of pace? Want something out of the norm? Something that's different from previous romance titles but still leaves a large impact on the viewer. If so then I would highly suggest watching something else. Itazura na Kiss (Anime) add

Let me start by saying that Itazura na Kiss is one of the most complete romance anime i have ever watched. This doesn't necessarily mean its better than Clannad or Sakarasou no Pet na Kanojo for example, but its still up there in the top romance anime the way i see it.

Story 9/10: Similarly to Clannad, what makes this anime so good is the character development and the progression for that stage where the characters barely know each other to a point where they cant be without each other. This anime includes all of the steps to a good relationship with someone. Unlike most anime ... this isn't one of those main character chases someone who is way out of their league, they kiss at the end and that's it, its completely different. Like a lot of romance anime the main character tries very hard to get with the person of his/he dreams and it proves pointless for a while. But after a lot of hard work and even some tears, they end up achieving what they desired most. And what i truly loved about this anime was that it could have ended in 13 episode, but it went further on in the story of the lovers and showed how they lived their lives even after high school.

Art/Sound 9/10: This anime came out in 2008 but there were no noticeable problems with its quality. I don't generally like those anime where i feel like the producers were lazy (Bokura ga Ita) and the characters looked very simple and maybe even unappealing. This anime was perfect in the art area. I felt a lot of effort in the producing of this show. The sounds were perfect, i didn't feel like a lot was missing in this regard.

Character 9/10: In the beginning i was hesitant to watch this anime because I don't like anime where i feel that the main male character is always cold or a just plain wimp, but this anime surprised me. In the beginning, I hated Irie but as the anime progressed and his feelings grew I began to fully understand why most anime have to start with the characters not liking each other. This is important to the story and it highlights how vital character development is to a love story. The supporting characters could of done a better job however.

Enjoyment 9/10: I enjoyed this anime a lot. It wasn't one of those anime where it was okay but i really wanted it to end(Bokura ga Ita). It moved at a pretty comfortable pace and I wasn't at all disappointed at how it went. Honestly I have very little to complain about this anime, it was almost perfect in every regard to a romance anime.

Overall 9/10: Again barely anything was bad about this anime. Moved at a good pace, very well made characters(for the most part)and I loved how the romance went throughout the anime. When it ended I still wanted to see more regardless of the fact that it was complete for a romance anime. And i mean COMPLETE. I don't know many anime besides Clannad that were this complete. It did good in every aspect and if the supporting characters had a little more of a presence I would definitely give this anime a 10/10.
