It all started with a broken ankle and faithful encounter over coffee.
Story: (9/10)
Simple, sweet, makes my heart flutter. Like pumpkin custard pudding or black and white cats with white socks or chocolate banana crepes.
This blissful story follows our main protagonist, Akira Tachibana, through her life as a 17 year old high school student. Though she used to be the top athlete in track and field at her school unfortunately after an injury she no longer runs. This has changed her high school life as she overcomes broken relationships and creates new ones.
During a faithful encounter on a rainy day, Kondou meets Tachibana and it gives
...
life to the girl with the broken ankle. With nothing else to do in her high school life she gets a job working with her boss, Kondou, who she secretly has a huge crush on.
At the Garden Cafe she finds a new meaning to happiness and looks forward to working with everyone there. Or, that is what she thought. Apparently having a crush on your boss, and working along side the boy who has a crush on you is harder than it looks.
Art: (9/10)
The art is very pleasing to look at. Often reminding me of old anime styles, giving a soft nostalgic feeling. It may have nothing special to it but if you look closely you can see how elegant the designs in her eyes are. Especially during heart fluttering moments, the anime wastes no time in showing us her emotions through the art, as if it had a daydream effect. Beautiful.
Sound: (9/10)
In 2018, I vote the intro and outro songs as best opening and ending. I fell in love with the way they played out, gives me nostalgic feelings to past anime. Apart from the theme songs the background music gives a subtle flare of summer vacation when I was in high school. I can really hear everything happening around the busy city Tachibana lives in as if I were there.
Although there is nothing special about the amazing sounds most anime produce nowadays. I still love it and give my applause to how far it has come.
Character: (8/10)
Akira Tachibana, aside from her normal life she is a serious and awkward teen who might seem too uptight but is just shy. Aside from being shy, when she smiles I bet she could light up a room. Especially the way the anime lights up my screen during heartwarming moments. The anime portrays subtle clues that she is lonely and she isolates herself.
She loves rainy days the most out of anything, on the other hand Kondou does not like rainy days.
Konou Masami is her manager who has a bald spot on the back of his head. He is just as socially awkward as Tachibana. Often having to frantically apologize for everything, he definitely shows the father in him. He should since he does have a son and is divorced. One could picture how lonely he must be living alone and working much harder than he should.
One thing is for certain, there are many more things to him that meet the eye than being an "old man".
Enjoyment: (10/10)
After watching the first episode I jumped right into the ongoing manga series. Although a lot is portrayed differently in the anime than the manga it is still played out nicely. They add quite a bit to the managers personality into the anime and I can definitely agree with their decision.
Unlike most anime, I don't enjoy watching adaptations from manga I have read. I find it easy to watch Koi wa Ameagari no You ni without being bored, it makes me smile unexpectedly.
To think that all of this happened because of a broken ankle.

Do not be fooled, this is NOT a sequel to the first season made back in 2003. This season is a remake.
Story: (8/10)
As of episode six there is not much to the story but it is simple. The main character goes from country to country in what seems to be a post apocalyptic world. The world is very separated and each country she visits seems to harbor something new and unexpected. This story tells of her adventures as she travels with her talking motorbike named Hermes. She meets dangerous and humble strangers and learns new ways of life.
Art: (9/10)
As the world is "anything but beautiful"
...
the animation proves otherwise. I enjoy watching the animation and it is a key reason why I was interested in the series before initially knowing what it was about. It is a "sight for sore eyes." Especially the opening and ending themes, the art style is my favorite.
Sound: (8/10)
The music is simply touching and really adds to each moment. I enjoy listening to the music. There are also nature sounds we hear through a lot of scenes which rather just adds the nice touch factor.
Character: (8/10)
So far there are just two main characters Kino and Hermes. They are really shrouded in mystery along with the world around them. Kino is a very like able character and I enjoy seeing what she has up her sleeve next. She is actually quite bad ass. She may look tiny but she has a big will to fight. I can tell that there is something in her past that inepts her to keep traveling.
Hermes is a motorbike, with a personality and a voice?? Yeah, I know, weird. But I like it and I wouldn't want it any other way. Hermes is Kino's companion on her travels. We do not know much about their ways but to me it seems they are inseparable.
We end up meeting a few characters here and there that Kino becomes acquainted with during her travels. It seems a lot of my questions about them will go unanswered. I enjoy the slight hint of mystery behind these humble strangers.
Enjoyment: (9/10)
I enjoy watching this series. There is nothing I don't like about it so far. There is subtle humor sprinkled in to each episode that I love. I hope you give this anime a chance. I have hopes my curiosity becomes inspiration as the series develops. It is quite the fascinating world!

Story: (9/10)
Just from the first few episodes I was in love with this very unique and original story. The main character unlike any other, auctions herself off because she has nothing left of her life. She was bought by a monster named Elias who is really much more than just some monster. All of Chise's life she has had special abilities that made her an outcast to everyone who had ever loved her. She is a special human named a Sleigh Beggy (Slay Vega as in the manga) who can see beyond the sight of normal beings. She sees mysterious things that many others cannot.
...
This adds a lot to her character as we learn about more of her abilities.
From that day forward, Chise's life changes and she meets many new characters who help her through her struggles. She lives a new life learning magic with Elias, going on many adventures with dragons, learning the meaning of her existence, and giving herself a reason to live. Which also includes getting to know who Elias really is.
The plot may start slow, at first, but the development is outstanding. I highly recommend also checking out the ova which goes into a nice little backstory for Chise.
Art: (9/10)
From the manga to the anime the animation captures this beautiful world. The manga was always colorful in my eyes especially with the anime's representation of the wonderful world we are learning to love through Chise's eyes. Despite how beautiful it is the art style is nothing amazing or unique, therefore its rating an 8.
Sound: (9/10) Just what I was expecting, the soundtrack is so beautiful it brings tears to my eyes. The touching scenes soon to come I definitely know there will be even better music.
The folk sound really matches it just as I hoped. It gives a really magical essence. There is definitely going to be better music than these first few episodes. While watching the first episode I really thought there was a bird in my room it sounds so pure and beautiful.
Character: (9/10) The character development in the manga gets absolutely intriguing. To go deep in their characters is quite counterproductive in watching and getting to know them.
There are may antagonists that are included in these intriguing characters, Chise has a kind heart to them all. She learns through them as every one of them develop beautifully and we get to see many through Chise's eyes as she changes. Many of us can find Chise a very relate-able character in her past and present struggles. Elias may be inhumane but we see how he learns to act more human through bonding with Chise. Both main characters depend on each other.
Speaking of Elias, who may be a monster actually seems more human than we thought. Through each episodes he starts to understand emotions through his love for Chise. Visa versa, Chise learns to love with ELias and many characters to come.
There are a few favorites, a black dog named Ruth who came from the afterlife to protect the graves. An evil sorcerer who plans to make everyone his lab rat. A priest who gets caught up in their antics. Every character from evil to holy are all great influences on Chise through her short life.
Enjoyment: (9/10)
How could I not enjoy such an inspiring work of art?! I've always been a big fan of fantasy but this knocks it out of the park. I can really relate to Chise's hardships in her life and her struggles to overcome her past. Even though Elias isn't human and doesn't understand human emotions I feel like I can also relate to him.
Though I see lots of people look down upon this series for its lack of romance, I still enjoy the innocent bond created between Chise and Elias. Especially how they teach each other through the series.
I had very high expectations for this anime and I am not let down. I have a good feeling it will only get better from here.

Outstanding, just as amazing as its first season.
After watching the first few episodes, it feels like returning to a warm home on a chilly autumn day, being engulfed by the sweet scent of apple pie and hugging my cup of hot cocoa.
Story: (10/10)
Everything is told through such a beautiful way like a poem. Most of the emotions Kiriyama is feeling are presented to us through the art style, which plays a big part in how the story unfolds. It gives off subtle Your Lie in April vibes but without the extreme sadness.
Each episode is composed simply and even without a lot of action with
...
the plot it still captures my attention. We follow our favorite protagonist from last season, Kiriyama Rei, as he embarks on a new journey. How his life has taken a turn and he now experiences new things he has never felt before.
He starts to feel welcome, realizes his worth, his character has made subtle changes from the beginning and it it heartwarming. Just seeing Kiriyama put thoughts into others and share his life with the sisters is such a wonderful sight. There are many more sights like this in the episodes to come, even if they are after boring shogi scenes you have to plow through them, promise.
Art: (10/10)
As stated previously, the way the style is drawn out captures the plot and conveys every emotion through color. It shows us what is going on inside Kiriyama without him having to give a monologue for us to understand.
The art style in itself is great, I admire how the producers created this masterpiece. Quality points I'd like to make, Kiriyama is stunning in the first few episodes so far, the colors are like watercolor and the lines are fine like ball point pens. Especially the scenery is like a painting. As expected from how fascinating the first season was. Refreshing none the least.
Sound: (10/10)
Who knew that a simple scene about making ramune make me cry?
The music captivates my heart and brings me to tears, just remembering the prequel through the reused sounds makes the scenes heartwarming.
The music is very nostalgic and they even kept the preview music from last season. That would have to be one of my favorite parts of the soundtrack.
Character: (10/10)
Our favorite boy, Kiriyama, is wonderful. I much more than just admire him, I relate to him in many ways. The way he grows at his own steady pace, how he is overcoming his loneliness, becoming stronger in his own special ways. Of course the spot light isn't all just this memorable main character, the Kawamoto sisters are very valuable to the plot just as much as Nikaidou and Shimada. Even side characters such as Sensei Takashi are a delight to the plot and to Kiriyama's development.
Each character has their flaws and their strengths, their own personalities and lives we look forward to getting to know. Not one character is without some part of Kiriyama's life. Even if it means antagonists who really force Kiriyama to rethink his actions and push him over the edge. Especially when side character's struggles are just as harsh as the main character's, it shows that they are simply human. It is beautiful and I won't ever forget the characters who taught, not only Kiriyama but me, lessons of life. As in every anime we look forward to watching, this one really hits home with the characters' developments and struggles.
Enjoyment: (10/10)
I absolutely adore this series if you couldn't tell. I don't think I will ever stop admiring Kiriyama Rei. Since I did rewatch the first season I expect myself to rewatch this one. The purly subtle humor is always the best and creates a warm feeling of joy unlike most anime who force out jokes and represent comedy through inappropriate subjects. 3-gatsu no Lion does not disappoint with its mixture of emotional scenes and comedy relief moments.
I am truly happy to see Kiriyama finally happy in this season, he is slowly coming to love himself and those around him. He is having fun in high school, slowly opening up from how he was.
This series is very memorable and I hope to see anime styles like this for future anime. Although, the original is always the best.
Overall:
It has not changed much from its prequel. Capturing my heart with each episode, 10/10, glad Kiriyama crossed the bridge again.

My second review :) enjoy!
Slight spoilers I gues :/ not really to be honest.
Story: (9/10)
The plot is very original, I enjoy the fantasy aspect of the world. It's filled with faeries, dragons, vampires, spirits, sorcerers, magical beings, and much more yet to be discovered. Yet, Chise is a normal human being? Or so, that's what we thought
In the beginning, Chise is sold at an auction. Yes, a human is sold to a monster- I mean, Elias. Who may look like a monster in our eyes but he's a sorcerer who is looking for an apprentice, and a wife. Upon taking Chise under his wing, we
...
discover that Chise is no where near ordinary. She's a Slay Vega. A human born with the ability to see what normal beings can't. As a result they absorb magic from their surroundings and amass great amounts within their bodies. This makes the story very intriguing and also adds a lot to her character as we learn more about the ability she has.
From that day forward, Chise's life change and she meets many new characters who help her through her struggles. She lives a new life learning magic with Elias, going on many adventures with dragons, learning the meaning of her existence, and giving herself a reason to live. Through said adventures comes lessons we learn beside Chise.
The plot may start slow at first, but the development is outstanding. I highly recommend giving this manga a try. Especially with the anime coming out soon.
Art: (10/10)
There's nothing really special about the art style, it's simply beautiful and even without color it is colorful in my eyes
The way the magical world is presented is beautiful. If the manga is this astonishing, I hope the anime can really add it's true colors that it deserves. I can't wait to experience how wonderfully captivating some manga scenes are in the anime!
Characters: (9/10)
The character development as of chapter 40 is absolutely intriguing. I feel like I should go in depth with each character but the destroys the point of reading the manga.
Brief descriptions: Chise is a Slay Vega (as previously stated) and the apprentice of Elias. She is the main character that we follow through the manga. Elias is a "monster" speculated to be a Wendigo. Feel free to furthers spoil yourself by looking up what that is. Otherwise, read the manga before doing some research. Ruth is Chise's familiar, who takes the shape of a dog and is a faithful companion. Silver, aka Silky, is a Silky who is the landlady. She is a supporting character in which she supports the main characters with meals and silent appreciation. These are just four of the many characters Chise meets and learns from. Like an ancient dragon, a cunning faerie, a magic shop owner, and the normal neighbors who don't suspect a thing.
Enjoyment: (10/10)
How could I not enjoy such an inspiring work of art?! I've always been a big fan of fantasy but this knocks it out of the park. I can really relate to Chise's hardships in her life and her struggles to overcome her memories. Even though Elias isn't even human and doesn't understand human emotions I feel like I can also relate to him as well.
Though I see lots of people look down upon this series for it's lack of romance, I still enjoy the bonds that Chise has created with many characters. Especially with Elias and how they teach each other lessons on many different things.
I have very high expectations for the upcoming chapters and I have a good feelings I won't be let down. The anime however has all my hype. For a lil preview into the anime world of Mahou Tsukai no Yome, there is an OVA that offers insight into Chise's past. Truly stunning.

When originally writing this, upon seeing that this very interesting manga had no reviews I couldn't resist posting one. I'll try my best to not reveal too much information as you have to read for yourself to find the reasons this manga is unique.
Story: (8/10)
Basically some sort of magical object made by some over powered being takes form of other objects in its surroundings. I know, it's weird at first to think about but hear me out. What if this object takes the shape of a human? What if this inhumane immortal being learns to become a human? Well, of course he does. The main
...
protagonist, pet named Fushi, may look human but is far from it. Through the immortal's journey to find his purpose he crosses paths with many strangers who become a part of who he is and will become.
There are plenty of arcs that slowly unravel Fushi's true self as he proceeds into the hardships of the human heart. He may be the only main character but he wouldn't be Fushi without the flawed and troubled side characters that show Fushi what it means to be alive. Just like Ooima's other manga, Koe no Katachi.
Art: (9/10)
I love the art style, the characters are what you expect from the creator of Koe no Katachi. The scenery is amazing like a masterpiece. Even more than enough to paint the perfect picture. Almost like her other manga, yet this one seems to have a more elaborate look to it, proving that an artists style is ever changing.
Character: (9/10)
You might think this immortal magical object is a mindless, boring, inhumane creature that is supposed to learn how to be human. Well, you may be right but nobody knows anything about Fushi. His past starts at the very beginning as the reader knows just as much as Fushi knows about himself. In fact, it is odd to refer to Fushi as any gender because they aren't human or mortal. It is a true mystery to who they really are while we are slowly discovering along side them.
Each arc of the story is filled with many side characters that teach Fushi an abundance of new skills whether they be the hard labor everyone has to go through or simply learning how to eat like a normal human being. Along with each characters own hardships are lessons for Fushi to remember.
As Fushi transforms from a mindless, mysterious, inhumane, humanoid freak to a mindful, wholehearted, cunning young man on his journey he finds himself through others. But this is far from a spoiler, there are many mysterious things I bet even Fushi wants answers to. Like, how can he create objects out of nothing? What other cool abilities does he have that even he doesn't understand? That we might never understand if not for Fushi's self discovery.
Enjoyment: (10/10)
How could I not enjoy such a unique and interesting concept. How the main protagonist transforms from the first chapter to the most recent chapter, it is like watching a child grow up. Some moments made me laugh, most made my heart ache with sympathy and compassion for the hopeless and lost. Just like Fushi I can relate to trying to find myself, especially when you are gazing into others expecting something else yet you see your own reflection.
Finding yourself is like finding a good manga, this is that good manga.
