2 THESSALONIANS 2:11 “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:”
This simple passage perfectly summarizes the success and story of DEMON SLAYER/ Kimetsu No Yaiba. It can be entirely attributed to the anime adaptation; the adaptations animation quality as well as visual effects. We know this is true because the manga volume sales flopped for nearly 4 years until the show came out. Truly befitting of such a fraudulent series of biblical proportions.
STORY:
You must be STRONGLY DELUDED to think that the story of Demon Slayer is anything, but one aimed at people
...
who enjoy eating reheated food; it is as cookie cutter and generic as humanely possible. It starts off with Tanjiro wanting to save his sister after she's turned into a demon which started off solid but quickly devolves in quality and gradually loses impact with each passing arc. The story eventually devolves into Tanjiro and friends going from Point A to B, encountering new demons, getting defeated by said demon, random asspull, and then a melodramatic backstory that desperately tries to recontextualize the life of the demon into a tragedy.
Characters:
DEMON SLAYER probably has one of the WORST casts in not just Battle Shonen history but dare I say the history of Shonen and just Manga as a whole.
Every character you can think of is literally just an archetype, they are nothing more than just a single trait. Don’t expect them to be fleshed out in any meaningful way, you have:
-Cornballs like Tanjiro who cries over everything, he literally cries over homicidal demons. He has no personality or character outside of being kind and having a big-ass forehead.
-You have Nezuko who has an EVEN BIGGER forehead than her brother, and you would think with a cranium so large that she would be able to do something useful? NO, she is nothing more than a damsel in distress. It’s hard to believe that she would look after her younger siblings when after being turned into a demon she develops some sort of Intellectual disability which causes her to act out as a child. This shift in personality ends up bleeding into other characters such as Zenitsu who has lust towards a girl who has mentally regressed.... Very suspicious.....
-The Demons are an absolute joke as they are all trying to be tragic characters; the only one that succeeded in being notable and compelling is the #1 Upper Moon who is also the only character worth any salt in this entire series.
Worldbuilding/Setting:
There is literally no worldbuilding or setting to speak of, there is nothing commendable about the setting, there is nothing commendable about the Breathing Styles once you realize that its fake and all the Demon Slayers are essentially undiagnosed schizophrenics running around as swordsmen since anti-psychotics haven’t been invented yet in the period the story takes place in
The nonexistent worldbuilding gets even worse at the end when the author just randomly decides to include reincarnation after having killed off majority of his cast in the previous arcs
Fights:
You would think that a Battle Shonen, a series focused on fighting would produce consistently good fights, however Demon Slayer fails at even doing that, the fights are plagued with garbage paneling, there is absolutely ZERO tension in these fights since characters will survive all sorts of injuries through their the author and his bullshit justifications like “I rearranged my internal organs to avoid being stabbed!” or something corny like that.
Artwork:
It has a unique art style, but art alone cannot make a series good or worthwhile.
CONCLUSION:
In conclusion, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba is nothing more than a meandering, and middling attempt at creating a battle Shonen. The readers time would be better spent on literally doing anything else. If you do decide to start this series it would be better to watch the anime since at least you have the addition of visual effects and music.

BERSERK and Kentauro Miura are to Animanga what Crypto Scams and NFTS were to the economy. The One Arc Wonder, Miura himself truly reached generational levels of scams and fraud. Can’t even hate, just gotta be impressed by how he managed to fool so many people into keeping up with his series despite putting out only 1 chapter every blue moon.
BERSERK is a story which is often regarded as the zenith of storytelling but in actuality it is nothing more than a masterclass in teaching how to fail at what you set out to accomplish. Revenge? The effects of Sexual Assault? Religion? Trauma? The
...
list just goes on!
Characters:
The character cast of Berserk is not one of high regard and you know this to be true as all discourse surrounding its characters revolve around only Guts and Griffith.
-You have Casca who isnt even a character for more than 200+ chapters out of a 360+ chapter manga due to her losing her mind due to her rape, and even before that she was very passive and had things acted upon her rather than her acting out onto the story.
-You have Puck who initially served as the light to Guts shadow, his naivety brought refreshment to the dark atmosphere of the series, but after the introduction of Schierke and Isidro he is reduced to comic relief, and one that's not funny at that.
-You have Schierke who is essentially just Puck before he was flanderized, and you have Isidro, a young boy that does nothing but constantly harass women, and you think Guts would intervene considering he was assaulted as a kid, you would think the author would realize that a character and behavior like this have no place in the story and message he wants to convey
-You have the band of the Hawk, which is literally composed of a hundred faceless NPCs, their death is supposed to be tragic, the foundation for Guts' anger towards Griffith but why should we care? What do Pippin, Judo, and Corkus even do? What does Rickert even do? Absolutely nothing, and you know this to be true because Guts is the only member that Griffith cared about because the others were all irrelevant
Story: The story of Berserk as a whole is not of high regard either, the only notable arc is the Golden Age arc which provides the backstory to Guts and Griffith.
You know this to be true, because this is the only arc that Berserk discussion revolves around. All the other story arcs after this are nothing more than generic RPG quests and filler which ultimately amounts to nothing as Guts is still powerless to stop Griffith, and regresses back to square 1 in his personality after failing again.
The entire story after the Golden Age is just Guts and friends going around and fighting the monster of the week: Lost Children Arc, Neo Band of the Hawk, Sea God, etc, the list just goes on and on. Setting: There is nothing impressive about the setting of the Berserk, it is loosely based off Medieval Europe, so if you have seen Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Witcher, Bastard or just read a history book then you have basically seen this. The fantasy aspects and the limit of magic is barely explained, and the story frequently borrows creatures from religions such as Hinduism, etc.
Themes:
Miura continuously fails to handle subject matters such as religion, sexual assault, representation of foreign cultures and a myriad of other topics with any form of grace -He initially used Guts' past as a victim to show how such an event can lead to people becoming more withdrawn and that they are unlikely to report such experiences due to shame and isolation which deserves a bravo for being well done, but Miura quickly cheapens sexual assault to shock factor, for example;
-Casca is sexually assaulted countless times and gradually loses agency with each encounter, it peaks at the eclipse where she stops existing as a character for the rest of the story due to her trauma.
-You have Isidro, a young boy and one of Guts new traveling who gets off sexually harnessing Schierke and other women in the series. You would think that Guts would reprimand Isidro considering his past, and that he views Schierke as a daughter but no, you would think Miura would have enough cognizance to not do something so stupid. -You have Miura drawing Schierke, Jill, and the infamous "adult attack scene" where Miura draws children in sexually compromising positions.
You also have Miura failing to handle the topic of religious belief in the Conviction arc where every religious person is depicted as crusaders, nutjobs, and rapists who are intolerant of the slightest of opposing views or just straight up degenerate.
This is just straight up nonsensical to anyone who has read history or has interacted with people outside as people come from all walks of life, there have been countless positive contributions from these religious identities (Christianity, Hinduism, etc).
Miura also cannot handle foreign representation for shit as seen in the Kushan Empire which is based off the Indian subcontinent, her numerous ethnicities, and religion. This empire is depicted as being ruled by a deranged king who sets out to conquer as much land as possible through the usage of an army that rapes women in hope of getting them pregnant so they can use magic and turn their babies into demonic footsoldiers.
Not only does it make light of sexual assault it is just downright disrespectful to the culture it is adapted from.
Conclusion: To wrap it up Berserk is a joke and parody of religion, trauma, history, culture, and philosophy. If you were hoping for an actually decent and mature story Im sorry to disappoint you. Id recommend that you check out Nietzsche, Stoicism, LOTR, the New Testament and any of the previous works that I mentioned.

ATTACK ON TITAN Is basically the Stock Market crash of 1929 In manga format, just like the Stock Market back then it failed to live up to the hype and also:
-Failed to resolve Key Plot Points
-Failed to have compelling characters
-Failed to resolve its themes
-It basically just failed at doing anything it set out to accomplish, THIS is one of the MOST FRAUDULENT manga series of ALL TIME.
...
CHARACTERS:
-Eren is probably the MOST DISSAPOINTING character in this series, You can just tell that Isayama had NO IDEA what to do when it came to writing him. He starts off as a kid filled with rage that wants to wipe out every titan then you get the time skip and he turns into a White Nationalist stand-in, sure whatever but then you have this cornball suddenly developing a love for Mikasa when in the past chapters he was doing everything to paint the opposite picture.
From edgy brat to white supremacist to a genocidal cuckold, you just can't make this stuff up, but there's even WAAAAY more to talk about this character, which I'm saving for later.
-Armin, another joke of a character, if you can even call him a character because he spends most of the story as one that is stagnant. He has NO growth, and actually regresses in quality of character if anything. The story desperately tries to frame him as a genius by having every character suck him off when possible and if possible; but all of this is hollow because these characters have absolutely no reason to praise his passive persona.
-Mikasa, may as well just be a blow-up sex doll for Eren because that’s literally her entire character save for the last few chapters that give her a rushed development
As for the other characters they exist in a binary of either being alright or underdeveloped so there isn’t much to talk about with them, big ups to Reiner and Floch
STORY:
The story is not one of ANY regard.
If you think its good just wait until Chapter 123, because after Chapter 123...
AFTER CHAPTER 123?
AFTER CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-THREE?
WHAT WAS ISAYAMA THINKING......
EVEN BEFORE THAT. WHAT. WAS.. HE... THINKING.... WITH..... THE...... BASEMENT REVEAL.......
You can just TELL that Isayama did not give a shit LMAOOO, the laziness GOES ON FULL BLAST, it's like everything up until then was written by a ghost writer, there are NO stakes in the last arcs due to how convenient everything is for the alliance.
The story started off as a simple with combatting the titans, discovering what they are, where they come from, and the reality of the world around them but then all of a sudden Isayama starts to get pretentious about politics, he starts making parallels with the participants of WW2, and the genocide of the Jews, but Isayama doesn’t have the skill to handle any of these subject matters with grace. The portrayal of the Eldians goes back and forth from being Germans to Jews, there's nothing meaningful said about their portrayals it’s just there for the aesthetic.
THEMES:
This story has the same amount of subtlety as a deer running onto oncoming traffic
I just can’t stress enough how mishandled the World War 2 backdrop was, I can’t stress enough how annoying it was for characters to ramble about freedom followed by some bird symbolism.
I can’t believe the author thought it would be a good idea to end with Eren’s death being congratulated despite such drastic measures failed to achieve anything meaningful and only perpetuating a cycle of hatred .
CONCLUSION:
I could go on all day, I wish I could, but I do not want to spoil anything else, and would rather the viewer come to their own conclusion.
Just know that If You do decide to start this series you are in a ride for a disappointment. You have been thoroughly warned.

BLEACH by Tite Kubo is an absolute travesty of a manga, initially it had potential, but you must remember that potential by definition is not being used.
CHARACTERS:
- Due to the sheer size of the cast, many characters receive little to no growth or actual development, this can be seen in Ichigo's friend group as they gradually lose impact and influence as the story goes on, majority of the characters from the major factions like the Soul Society, Wandenreich and Arrancars are simply just one personality trait, contradict themselves later or become useless take for example the Espada and the Arrancars who serve
...
as Aizen's army and the antagonists for several arcs only for them to be quickly defeated, have no lasting impact, and Aizen himself even admits they were useless and served no purpose to him.
- You could remove Grimmjow, Starrk, Barragan, Hallibel, etc and the story would barely change at all This is the main problem of Bleach, Kubo constantly bloats the cast with characters that have little Return-Of-Investment instead of fleshing out the key cast members.
- You have cornball antagonists like Aizen who had more than enough strength to carry out their goals, but constantly undermine them by wasting their time recruiting useless subordinates or giving time for Ichigo and the soul society to get stronger.
-These antagonists are supposed to be "master" manipulators and strategists LMAO, what an absolute joke
Story:
The story of Bleach is not of any regard as Kubo is one of the most unimaginative writers in Shonen Jump as he completely ripped the Soul Society arc and entire Aizen plotline from Gemini Saga of Saint Seiya, and not only that Kubo also rehashes the same arc repeatedly.
Each arc follows the same formula of one of Ichigo's friends getting kidnapped/attacked, Ichigo and his remaining friends fighting through a series of "commanders" til they reach the boss, and in each of these fights the good side will get backed to a wall but release a power they never knew they had instead of actually beating the opponent through strategy or worse, the enemy loses through sheer stupidity or plot (Ex: Gremmy, Yhwach).
Setting/Worldbuilding:
The worldbuilding and setting of BLEACH is an absolute joke as well, it starts off well-grounded but ends up contradicting itself in the later arcs which the most egregious example being the Quincies who were said to have been wiped out to a diaspora until it is later revealed that there is an entire empire which had 0 foreshadowing and reference until now.
Or take for example the Soul Society which has been portrayed as a government that regularly experiments on its own citizens, commit genocide, and other corrupt acts. This is a society that is stubborn in keeping traditions which do not work which leads to characters like Aizen who want to change said system into a new one, the story presents Aizen as evil while ignoring the actions of the Soul Society and not providing any meaningful alternative to this system. And you would think that Soul Reapers like Rukia, Renji, and Toshiro who have experienced the corruption first hand would want to change sides, but NOPE. Even at the end of the series they still serve a government that would kill them without any emotion
In conclusion, for the amount of time that is required to read Bleach there are much better stories that you could have read which hit the same themes or have the same setting like D-Gray Man or Saint Seiya. 0/100, absolute garbage.

Have you ever wanted to sit down and read 1000+ chapters of a meandering and middling Shonen Battle manga?
No really, do you really want to spend countless hours reading chapters and even more waiting for said chapters?
Because, ONE PIECE by Eiichiro Oda will surely satisfy this desire.
Characters:
More than 1000 chapters in and there isn't really any significant changes to characters in terms of personality or they way they conduct themselves. They remain static or in some cases actually degenerate in quality, just look at Usopp, Chopper, and Nami after the timeskip LMAO
Luffy is still a dumbass and doesn't learn from his past journey or mistakes
...
leading to him still acting recklessly, and pointlessly endangering his crew,
Sanji supposedly loves women and wants to protect them yet turns into a sexual predator whenever one is on screen. In the post timeskip Fishman Island arc he nearly dies from a nosebleed after seeing a bunch of mermaids. Oda and his audience really think this gag of sexual perversion is funny when its not. it's just contradicting his character, and even worse perpetuates a culture of sexual assault.
Usopp learns nothing from his timeskip training, constantly sways from being confident and a coward like he has a personality disorder. He was always a nonsensical character considering he was one of the bravest people pre timeskip and had no problem fighting people stronger than him over his beliefs like he did with Luffy in Water 7
Eiichiro Odor is also incapable of giving these characters a backstory and past that isn't blatantly trying its hardest to make you cry, feel sympathetic for them in an organic way or feel anger towards whoever did them wrong, he doesn't understand that the more he does this the less impact these backstories will have overall.
A big example of this being Senor Pink who was part of a crew that took over an entire country, abuse its citizens, and Oda tries to justify this behavior and make us feel sympathetic for him because his son died. What a joke.
This only scrapes the surface of how garbage the characters are on this series.
Story:
One Piece is often praised for its masterful "foreshadowing" when it is literally nothing more than Oda retconning every concept and justifying it through some vague message in a small panel from hundreds of chapters ago when literally no one could have come to that conclusion realistically.
The story arcs are also nothing to write home about, and are extremely formulaic with even dumber antagonists that continuously spare Luffy when they are more than strong enough to kill him. (Crocodile, Lucci, Kaido, who is the worst case of this etc).
The story and its Fanbase try to present itself as complex when every scenario is Black and White in its morality, the strawhats are good and the CP9, Beast Pirates, Baroque Works, etc are evil. There is nothing in this story that ever forces you to think outside of your comfort zone, all the morality is done for you
Setting/Worldbuilding:
The world of One Piece is as wide as an ocean but as deep as a puddle, do not expect it to make any sense when it's full of retcons such Luffy's whole family tree, Shanks, The God Knights, Haki, Saul Being Alive, and the list just goes on.
The worst case of this is the reveal of the Nika Nika fruit which makes the World Government look EVEN MORE INCOMPETENT THAN THEY ALREADY WERE.
They clearly knew who Luffy was, they clearly knew who his family was, they clearly knew he carried the fruit, but for some reason never thought about killing him and just let him grow stronger? If they lose its because of their own incompetence at this point.
1000 chapters, 2 decades in and there ARE STILL silhouette characters in this story. It is nothing more than just questions, vague statements and mystery bait instead of actually answering or building onto concepts.
Themes:
The main theme of the story is liberation and freedom but it runs in contrast to the destinies and prophecies in the story.
The biggest example of this is the retcon that devil fruits have wills of their own, and can possess their user meaning that Luffy isn't actually free, and is just a slave to his devil fruit, and everyone else is just a chess piece in the prophecy
it's also funny because One Piece fans are ironically the most intolerant people. They will shove this series in your face then get mad if you don't like it or don't want to read it.
Have complaints or criticism? They will ask why you even bothered to read it yet will get mad if you don't want to read it.
Art:
The artwork is also nothing to write home about, as it starts off mediocre and by the timeskip it devolves into messy lineart, and crowded panels everywhere making it a chore to read, and figure out what's going on.
Case in point being Wano which was crowded with characters and constantly jumped between their perspectives and events going on without any sense of flow.
Conclusion:
for a story that spans over 1000 episodes, over 1000 chapters, over several decades, One Piece is extremely subpar in quality, and the fact that this is highly rated just goes to show that the readers of this series and website have extremely low standards, and have poor media literacy.
If you want something better with a similar scope of adventure read something like HxH, Magi, The Odyssey, Lord of the Rings or just anything else really.
Absolute garbage. 0/100

Claymore, unfortunately, falls short as a subpar, sub-mediocre, forgettable, and unimaginative read.
Its cast lacks any creativity, and the Claymore organization, which should be the highlight, features more than 40 female monster hunters that look, fight, and act the same. They are praised as great female representation, but the more you grow as a reader, the more you will realize that they are an absolute joke.
-The main character, Claire, fails to stand out, appearing like a recycled character from another story. Her arc revolves around being emotionless but learning to feel while traveling with Raki, who is arguably the worst character in the series.
...
-Raki's presence adds little to the story, he does nothing but create problems, lacks depth, and somehow ends up in a romantic relationship with Claire. His development is unsatisfying, as he drops out for training and returns able to face multiple Claymores at once, leaving readers unimpressed as all this “development” is offscreen.
-The main antagonists are equally underwhelming, with one becoming evil due to issues controlling her own power, said villain is also defeated through an asspull, and the disappointing revelation of the Yoma's origin ties to an unexplored region in the story, further diminishing the narrative's impact.
-The story's regard is not high. The beginning involves Claire and Raki battling monsters, with a middle reveal of the Claymore organization's hidden nature.
However, the end devolves into a battle frenzy resembling DragonBall Z but with Near Identical Lesbian Sword Fighters. The final stretch lacks strategy, relying on random power-ups, and resurrecting dead characters to resolve conflicts taking place in a setting which is nothing more than a mundane medieval backdrop.
In conclusion, Claymore's mediocrity outweighs its little potential. For a more captivating experience, exploring the Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski may be a better choice. The Witcher offers a similar plot with a diverse cast of characters, a creative setting based on mythology, and the advantage of enjoying the story through books, games, comics, TV, and more. This story has political dramas, heartfelt moments between parents, magic, thrilling fights, and so much more than this unfinished paintjob of a manga.

"Idealistic, but not realistic" that is the core problem of Vinland Saga.
It is nothing more than an overrated manga that presents itself as a realistic, and historical take on pacifism, and the Norse setting only to fail horribly.
Characters:
-Thorfinn, the main character is nothing more than wasted potential. He starts off as a person who is fueled by revenge towards Askeladd, the mercenary who killed his father, Thors.
Not once during this period does Thorfinn ever ask himself the question of "who is the person that hired Askeladd to kill my father?" As a result Thorfinn wastes a decade of his life for
...
nothing, and to make it even worse he ends up crying over Askeladd when he dies. After Askeladds passing, the prologue ends, and Thorfinn is enslaved. During this period of time, he reflects on himself and laments over the amount of people he killed in pursuit of Askeladd, and swears to live a life of peace to atone for this.
While this sounds promising and full of potential, you must understand that potential by definition is not being used, and this is where Thorfinns character begins to crack.
-Thors, is a legendary jomsviking who after having an epiphany on the nature of violence, exiles himself on the outskirts of society, and lives the remainder of his life as a pacifist. He is the one who is responsible for placing the seeds of pacifism in Thorfinn with his words “You have no enemies”.
"You have no enemies”.
The story tries to present this ideology as realistic, but if you truly have no enemies, why did Thors defend himself against the mercenaries who attacked his loved ones? Why does Thorfinn defend himself from characters like Snake, Garmr, and so on?
The reality is that YOU DO HAVE ENEMIES, and the only reason why Thorfinn and Thors are only able to be pacifists is because they have the strength and force to back it up.
The author never addresses the fact that Thors/Thorfinn have superhuman levels of strength, and their philosophy isn't applicable to regular people. In some cases it is necessary to use self defense, and take the lives of others because we don’t have the luxury of letting them live another day.
The sacrifice from this joke of a character gets even worse later on as his death was entirely preventable when it is shown that he had the reactions, speed, and strength to knock out superhumans like Thorkell before the latter could even react.
The author also never address characters like Askeladd and Thorkell who more or less lived a happy life on their terms despite all the bloodshed they engaged in.
- Canute, the prince is set up as the foil to Thorfinn where the former wants to create a utopia through bloodshed and the latter wants to create one through peace. Master vs Slave morality.
While this character sounds good on paper, he:
●barely has any interaction or screen time with Thorfinn in the later arcs, and it this point in serialization it would be too late for him to show up
●His development is incredibly rushed and makes no sense as he started off as an incompetent teen who couldn't do anything until he listened to a rant by a drunk priest and had his adoptive father die which made him into a hyper competent leader? This all took place less than 1 month in the story, and it claims it's realistic, what a joke.
STORY:
-While the prologue may have been passable, the Ketil Farm Arc is when the story begins to fall apart. During this arc we are introduced to Ketil, who is the master of the plantation Thorfinn belongs to as well as Arneis and Einar who are slaves as well as Thorfinns friends.
Behind her smile, Arneis lost her original family, unborn child, and spent the last years of her life having her dignity taken away through being raped and abused on Ketil's plantation, she ends up dying because Ketil killed her in a fit of rage.
This event leads to Einar attempting to kill Ketil, but Thorfinn intervenes and then preaches about the cycle of revenge, and pacifism so essentially Thorfinn lets Ketil get away with raping, extortion, and all of the terrible things hes done, and Arneis is left without justice .
-The story gets a bit better in the Baltic Sea War arc, and goes back to being garbage in Vinland Expedition. During the former, Thorfinn is able to get through without killing people by having the strength to back it up, and with political connections. This arc is much more enjoyable than the previous farm arc, and it seems like the author is growing only to fall off in the next arc.
-During the expedition to the Vinland colony, Thorfinn gets into an conflict with Ivar who argues that they must bring weapons to the colony since they are going to uncharted territory, and thus need a means to protect themselves or it is all for nought. While Ivar struggles to articulate his ideas, he still ends up making a case grounded in logic unlike Thorfinn who straight up admits he has no actual response or argument for Ivar...
THIS IS MORE THAN A HUNDRED CHAPTERS IN, all this preaching about pacifism, and self reflection only for Thorfinn to have this little self awareness or ability to defend his ideas.
At this point Thorfinn should understand the rest of the settlers are just regular people, not superhuman, and need a means to defend themselves in this certain time…
SETTING:
The author fails to realize that while Norse society was violent (most of western civilization was at that time) they also had means of regulating violence through honor culture, and institutions such as the man-price or weregild where you would have to pay money for doing someone wrongfully.
He also fails to recognize that the general attitude of the Norse and their culture is what allowed them to thrive in such an environment, being a mercenary was a legitimate career path in these societies, and Thorfinn does not offer any meaningful alternative to this culture.
What the author could have done is explore the differences between Norse Society, and the Christian civilizations since the historical Thorfinn was Christian (alongside his wife is as well) and their views regarding how society should be run.
This is a massive missed opportunity since the Norse would gradually accept Christianity, and Thorfinn even travelled to Constantinople which was a civilization not only important to Christians, but the Norse as well.
BUT NO…. instead the author offscreens this travel which could have been used as a moment of self reflection, and bring more food to the table.
Like I said earlier, he could have had a master vs slave morality dynamic, and explore both cultures' views towards peace, and violence but the author does not have the nuance or skill to do this.
THEMES:
while the author is big on self introspection, he continuously proves in his writing that he has NONE.
the motto "You have no enemies" is completely unrealistic given the nature of the world the story depicts, and Thorfinn despite being all about self introspection doesn't have the self awareness to realize his philosophy is only possible because he has the power to back up, and the second you swap him for a character like Gudrid or Einar who are just a regular person, the story crumbles apart.
A horrible story, 0/10. Just watch Vikings, read the actual Norse Sagas or the New Testament instead.

Psyren faces overarching issues, primarily stemming from a lack of build-up and the failure to break away from the typical cookie-cutter approach. Moreover, the villains in the series lack depth, seemingly existing solely for the sake of being evil
CHARACTERS:
If you've seen Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Beelzebub, Gantz, and Akira you have basically seen all these characters before except they are just 2 dimensional, and trope filled copies.
-Yoshina's character bears a striking resemblance to Ichigo, and Yusuke but without the depth of Zangetsu and dynamic with Toguro/Sensui respectively
-Asaga is portrayed as a "noble thug," evoking memories of Kuwabara from YYH. Similarly he dips from the story for
...
a long time, so don't get too attached to him
-Kirisaki is introduced as a coward who later learns to confront his fears. Not much else to him
-Unfortunately, Oboro stands out as one of the weakest characters in the series. He has no personality except trying to be insane and edgy, but it fails horribly because his character arc resets at the end of the story.
-Moreover, the main villain, Amagi, raises concerns as he barely interacts with Yoshina and the cast, and his involvement within his own organization is minimal, leaving most duties to Grana, his second in command.
STORY
The story initially shows promise, but ultimately feels like a watered-down version of Gantz. While it engages readers in the beginning and middle, it loses momentum rapidly.
One of the major issues lies in the narrative's development of the main cast. They gradually lose their agency after meeting the kids from Elmer Wood, repeatedly requiring rescue from them during battles in the future world. Consequently, the fights lack strategic depth and devolve into random clashes, with characters utilizing powers seemingly unrelated to the foundation of PSI.
You have Amamiya who the author forgot was supposed to be mentally ill and traumatized until the last stretch of the story so she develops a second personality even though she was pretty much fine and sociable for a good chunk of the story
The story also suffers from a glaring power creep problem. Yoshina and the cast suddenly acquire the NOVA PSI, an ability never previously mentioned.
What's more puzzling is that Yoshina only masters 2/3 of the required PSI powers, yet still gains access to NOVA.
This inconsistent development is hard to justify, especially when others born with PSI or possessing years of experience lack this power. Even more confusing is Yoshina obtaining NOVA from his non-psychic father in the original timeline. This is ends up leading to the final Showdown between Yoshina and Amagi reaching Ichigo vs Aizen levels of disappointing.
Additionally, the villains' motivations raise serious questions. The main villain seeks to eliminate non-psychics due to his traumatic childhood experiences with experiments. While this motive is understandable, his actions contradict his beliefs.
He senselessly kills numerous psychics and non psychics alike whe conducting
experiments on innocent people, turning them into monstrous beings. This inconsistency in his character and actions detracts from the potential impact of the narrative's conflict.
In summary, Psyren presents a forgettable storyline with shallow character development and an underwhelming portrayal of villains.
The lack of depth in both the heroes and antagonists, coupled with the story's unfulfilled potential, diminishes its overall impact, leaving readers craving for a more compelling and thought-provoking experience
Please just read Gantz, Akira, and Yu Yu Hakusho instead.

"hidden gem, but not really." This is what Tegamibachi can be described as.
CHARACTERS:
-Lag, the main character, is defined by his empathy, though you can make a case for him being a crybaby, his emotional reactions are fitting for the situations he encounters, and he balances his vulnerability with taking initiative.
-Gauche stands out as the best character, with his amnesia being handled masterfully. Rather than reverting to square one after regaining his memory, Gauche's old and new memories blend, leading to internal conflict between helping his friends in the Letter Bees, the protagonists, and his friends in Reverse group, the antagonists.
Niche's character isn't inherently bad, but
...
the author's portrayal of her is off-putting and contradictory. Her past as a trafficking victim and trust issues are overshadowed by unnecessary fanservice scenes, which ironically contradict the arc focused on such issues. Fortunately, these scenes become less frequent as the story progresses.
Story:
The manga's beginning and middle are captivating, brimming with enigma and suspense. The mysteries in the story resemble a hydra; just when you think something is solved, new complexities emerge. The narrative also effectively weaves past events and characters into later chapters.
HOWEVER, the story loses its momentum in the last 30 chapters, leaving readers with a sense of confusion. It seems that the author might have faced editorial pressures or cancellation threats, leading to a rushed and poorly paced conclusion
Numerous plot points are introduced but left unresolved, such as Zaji's sudden trust issues despite being one of the most open and sociable characters. The ending raises more questions than answers, leaving you wanting for a proper epilogue to tie up loose ends.
TLDR:
Tegamibachi has a great momentum with the beginning and middle, but loses track of itself towards the end. It becomes stuffed with fast pacing, and unresolved plot points leading to an unsatisfying ending
Beginning 7/10
Middle 7/10
Ending 0/10
Overall this story is like a Low 7 at maximum, and a 5 at minimum, and you should only read if you dont mind a dissapointing end

Do NOT read this manga AT ALL. It is A
COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME, and the series is home to:
●Horrible writing
●Horrible Characters
●Incompetent Antagonists/No Stakes
●Horrible Worldbuilding
●just a horrible everything overall.
Characters:
...
-You have Arslan who is literally just a beta male femboy. He has no agency to the point where it's just his servants doing all the work for him when realistically no one would serve him due to how incompetent and weak he is. This doesn't change in the slightest throughout the story, the only development he gets is the homosexual tension between him and Daryun
-You have Andragoras who is Profoundly Retarded (capital R for further emphasis), he is supposed to be a competent ruler, and conqeuror, but everything he does paints the opposite picture.
He neglects the warnings from his generals which leads to the demise of his kingdom, and later down the line he tries to disband Arslan's group although they are the entire reason the Kingdom of Pars was saved.
-You have Narsus who is one of the worst aspects of the story. He is a master strategist, and one who drags the story down by taking out every stake there could've been in a conflict.
This shithead has a solution for every single problem, there is never a time where he runs out of wits, and has to adapt to the problem. It ends up hurting the story by making the antagonists look incredibly incompetent leading to my next point
-The Kingdom of Lusitania, is a rival to the Kingdom of Pars, and one of the main antagonists of the series.
The only time they are threatening is at the start of the series, they do nothing but job for the remainder of the series.
The kingdom of Lusitania is split into 3 factions:
-1 that sides with King Innocentis
-1 that sides with Guiscard (brother of Innocentis)
-1 that sides with the Church of Yaldabaoth
Innocentis is nothing more than a fatass who rather belongs in a manga adaption of My 300 Pound Life, he is absolutely incompetent leading to Guiscard plotting to assassinate him.
The assassination was successfully carried out, until its revealed Innocentis survived because "the fat protected him from the knife wound".
You really can't make this shit up, all that build up in the previous chapters for ZERO payoff.
Guiscard could have been a great antagonist, and rival to Narsus, but he is simply never given the chance just like Duke Silvermask, and all the other villains in the story.
Worldbuilding/Story:
Just awful all around, all the countries, and groups are just reskins of ones that exist in our world
Pars for Persia, some reskins of the Mauryans, some reskins of the Mongols, you have the Church of Yaldabaoth which is just a reskin of Catholicism, and Orthodox Christianity
The author tries to discuss religion by having Arslan debate Etoile, who is the poster girl of the Church.
Arslan argues that the church is ran by warmongers, but Etoile is too retarded to self introspect, to realize that all his fighting has done nothing but drag the reputation of her religion down in the mud, and that she is nothing but a pawn.
Etoile barely reacts to when her sect of Yaldabaoth attacks the Eastern sect who were peaceful, and did absolutely nothing towards the Western sect.
I could go on all day, but this manga is an absolute waste of time.
Go read something like Altair or Magi instead
