I am putting a 7/10 overall simply because I had times that were extremely annoying in this series to the point I had to stop reading for a day or two. It isn't bad, actually the story is pretty cool. Always having some type of mystery or lore to explore in this new world keeps you at the edge of your seat. Also the fusion of magic, mecha, and martial arts is super cool! Definitely one of the best parts of Bu Sha/KNM is the story 8/10. The characters on the other hand... can be great at times and sometimes terrible... I'll just get the

terrible out of the way first (sigh)... Liola [The Worlds Best Assassin] who also has promised to never kill is probably the one I am annoyed by the most. Firstly he can be so plain out stupid sometimes and most problems are caused by him, actually they all are (I do want to mention that while I think he is annoying not all parts of him are bad but as a MC I am more strict)! It is one of the running gags that Liola attracts trouble and Kaiser causes it. Speaking of Kaiser, he is the funniest and my favorite character. He makes any situation more entertaining and his background doesn't lose out to Liola's mystery wise in any way. The other characters are just meh... Not bad and not amazing... Except Lanski... Hated her... 7/10. As per usual this is a light novel so the art is minimum but I like the character designs 7/10. Enjoyment is also 7/10, it can be extremely enjoyable from the story aspects and the hilarious character interactions. However there are moments when i just feel bored or annoyed (Arena arc was imo awful) BUT Kill No More can be great! You just might have to take breaks here and there.
Bu Sha/Kill No More is complete at 13 volumes all of which are translated so reading a work that has a full ending is nice.

This light novel is fairly similar to Re: Monster (It is impossible for me not to compare these two series) but I would say this one is more shonen. Well it isn't kiddy either but there isn't really any mature themes (sex, torture, you get it) However in this case I think it is a good thing, it focuses more on the story and characters quirks. Speaking of characters their is a ton of them, most being interesting as well. I will start with the main character Rimuru, he reincarnated as a slime (obviously) and similar to Rou had some OP abilities. Even more similar
...
it is the ability to take others abilities, both also being named Gluttony. Not really a problem for me since it is a pretty cool power. Rimuru was formerly a male but after his rebirth he has no gender so yeah (Poor guy... He was a 37 y/o virgin in his past life...) He isn't really hyper intelligent but he has a good heart and wants to help his friends in any way he can. His friends are also unique and without spoiling anything I will say their is dragons, ogres, lizardman, and orcs. Really that was just breaking the surface, there are tons and they are actually fleshed out unlike Re: Monster because this isn't written like a diary. ...Jeez this is getting dragged out, anyway story is pretty good with its basic demon lords vs humanity. Seeing how the MC is a slime I think you can guess which side he is on. It gets more complex and darker later on as well. Lastly is art which like a regular LN/WN doesn't have much but of course it has a manga adaptation with some decent looking art.
Overall it is a pretty solid novel, seeing various monsters evolve and band together under one entity is just too fun for me. Anyone who has read Re: Monster and liked it should read this already. Nearly 100 chapters translated at this point.
Rereading this review I realized that this is like a comparison between Re: Monster and Tensei Shitara Slime but who cares >.

Re: Monster is definitely one of the most enjoyable novels I have read in a long time. Firstly I should mention that the writing style is similar to a diary and everything is viewed in first person. Dialogue we see is few and the readers only view characters as the way Rou perceives them (Most of the time)... can also be certain instances where we get POV of others but it is few. With that said besides Rou we don't get much of other characters but I still really like Rou and his power so it is fine for me but if you don't like
...
the cold calculating anti-hero type then avoid Re:Monster. Next is the story and in this novel it takes an approach where there isn't one huge goal but more of whatever the MC feels like doing he will do, you might think that gets boring but his antics are one of the best parts (without spoiling much I will just say he is very greedy and always wants to improve his abilities and position in the new world. Examples being going into a fight he only believes he has a 30% chance of victory just because he wants the abilities of the monster or using addictive lotion on nobles so they always have to come back to his massage shop...) There is sex in this story but it isn't descriptive and he also has several wives so warning for the people who don't want that. Art isn't very involved as it is a novel but a manga version of this is out and it is done pretty nicely. I would recommend this to people who are looking for a story about a character who starts at the bottom and travels to the top.
Now for the flaws as I did have a few I want to mention. Firstly is like I said earlier how it is all written like a diary, it is definitely a double edged sword and it makes me feel less connected to other characters. Secondly is the fact that it has great story potential but it isn't used to its fullest and what I mean is how he was reincarnated and his blessing by a greater god. They aren't delved into much even by day 190 (vol 5) so guys who like epic stories definitely will dislike the feeling of such wasted potential. I had a few other issues but none worth mentioning.
Conclusion is that I really enjoy it and will continue reading as long as it keeps going. I also want to mention since bakaupdates (the site most people know of) doesn't update when new chapters are translated and I don't know why. On the wiki you can read all of volumes 1-5 in english that was translated by Pacem community translations. For the hardcore fans of this series who are looking for some like it I would also recommend checking out Royal Road Legend or Japtem as they have hundreds of Fanfics just off this novel, which isn't surprising as the world concept is epic!

This LN is definitely not original when it comes to the story. Well at least not entirely, the main character is in my opinion different from the many others I have seen in this type of story (examples being RE:Monster, Mushoku Tensei, and Tate no yuusha) For starters Hiiro doesn't want part in anything, become a hero? Slay the demon king? Help others in time of need? Nope, he says he is a simple bystander and why should he help the people who forced him into another world and I love that, seriously the main character and his personality make all of the conflicts in

this series feel unique. On top of the main character the world itself is in serious conflict and it could be fair to say the brink of destruction. That is all I plan to say on story but I can promise there is a story and it is pretty intense. Anyway the art in this series is nearly non existent, there is some but not much and the reason for that is KnW is a webnovel and they tend to lack art but the art that is there is pretty decent. I gave enjoyment a 9 which is the highest rating I gave to any of the others in this series even overall and the reason being the main characters power is just amazing, it can do basically anything (Teleport anywhere hes been once, put anything to sleep for an entire minute, use any element you can think of) and theres tons more. That paired with the enjoyable side characters and cute cat girls and I seriously enjoy this series. Overall I can think of very many pros and very little cons, it has everything I wanted from a series and even more. BTW there is 600+ chapters to this series... well only 90 is translated but you get what I mean.

For the first time in a series I didn't want to finish it, I just wanted to have an unlimited amount of episodes... It's that good. after watching The first Series Gintama I moved on to this show which is now in HD btw. From its amazing comedy and complex characters to its awesome fight scenes Gintama can make anyones mood turn to complete happiness. If your on the fence about it because maybe you don't like long series try a few episodes out and it doesnt matter where either start at episode 1 or check out episode 30 every episode is enjoyable and as
...
the series goes on you think there is no way it can be funnier but it always does time after time. The art is good and music as well, the voice actors for example Kagura have a very unique accent and its just great adding to the shows originality. While I do say this anime is for just about everyone I will tell you now this anime has no romance so if thats what you're looking for Gintama isn't it but... You should probably know that... Overall I have seen all of the first series and a large portion of Gintama' and it is my favorite anime of all time for enjoyment so keep in mind this anime should be watched with your brain off.
