Okay, so I never write reviews...like ever. However I felt the need to write this review to shed some truth on this movie. That thing that everyone seems to be overlooking in their perfect 10 ratings. Relax, I will not put any specific spoilers in, but I will tell you the feeling you get at the end of the movie. So if you don't want to know that, don't read the rest. I want users to know what they're getting themselves into when they watch this. I personally think it's really hard to rate this sequel just because it really depends on what type of show you want to watch. Despite appearing to be a reverse harem, this anime is not about a bunch of guys all chasing one girl. It centers around the history of the Shinsengumi. It's also a lot more dramatic, and emphasizes the realities of war.
So, that in mind, the only real downside I found to the anime is that (spoiler alert).............. everyone dies! I would have enjoyed the series way more if only one max two didn't make it. But they freakin killed ... |
