Both series are about a group of adventures in a new world trying their best to grow stronger and survive, while also growing closer together as a non-blood related family. Both anime also have other groups of adventures, who have a much stronger base strength then the main party. Each one of these anime is great for its own reason. Grimgar is great for it's more slice of life feel while the main group grows closer, while Shield Hero is great for it's more lively adventure feel and also it's characters.

Kimi no Na wa.

Both manga have people realizing that there is something missing in their lives. Both main characters find someone they want to meet again. Both have drama with Koe being much more heavy in the department. Both stories involve children/teens making trouble for others around them at some point. Both series had their anime movies air in the same year, and both manga are inferior to their movie counterparts, in my opinion, anyway.

High School DxD Hero
add

Both anime are extremely well done harems. DxD and Shuffle both balance plot and harem aspects really well. The size of the main character group is about the same or equal. Both shows have beings who can use supernatural powers without everyone needing weapons; many characters have sacred gears in DxD, but not everyone and even so, they're more like relics than weapons. Both shows have an amazing cast of females and a unique complimentary protagonist; they're not dull and they fend for themselves a bit. Both harems have a main love interest as the story progresses.

Kantai Collection: KanColle
add

I'm sure many people will think I'm really stretching this, but I can see a few similarities. Shingeki (Attack on Tiant) is much more serious in every aspect and it is certainly the better show with much better production qualities, overall Despite this, Kancolle and Shingeki do both have a large group of characters fighting an enemy of man kind. Both shows have a good number of characters that are not given as much screen time as they should be, but they're still good characters. Both shows have at least 1 person die before the audience really even has a chance to get connected to them. Both anime have fitting art styles during battles to compliment the mood; Kancolle still has pretty much clearer skies and such, but it's not nearly as dark of a show, compared to Shingeki that has some really earth art, while also having relatively calm surroundings. The intensity that the show is going for is shown on the battle field in both shows, still, though, even if the surroundings don't make it seem that way. The main reason that I started thinking of them as kind of similar is because of the one frame in the ending them for Kancolle. Around the middle of the song, the picture shown looks similar to the way the visuals were shown near the end of the first Shingeki opening.

Kantai Collection: KanColle
add

KanColle has girls with boat parts attached to their bodies, while Strike Witches has girls wearing plane propellers. The girls fight out in the sea in KanColle, and they fight in the air in Strike Witches. Both casts of characters are full of determines characters with their own quirky personalities. I think the Strike Witches leave a much bigger impression, though. The KanColle girls seem to fall a little flat, but they're not bad, and some of them may draw you in pretty quickly. Both have an original soundtrack with good battle music. The art is kind of similar, but KanColle has more slip ups, and the art style is not as well done. Mutsuki and Yoshika also have the same English voice actor.

Slow Start
add

I'm kind of cheating here, since this recommendation is pretty low effort. Well, for starters, both Mitsuboshi Colors and Slow Start are from the winter 2018 season. Both anime involve a group of cute girls just going around doing their fun little adventures. Slow Start takes place in high school, and the girls meet the main character on their first day of school, and than start hanging out together, performing their cute antics. Mitsuboshi Colors involves 3 young girls having their own club house and having fun playing their childish detective games. Both shows are in the fan genre, "cute girls doing cute things", and they're quite enjoyable to watch. Both anime will give you some simple fun entertainment to make you laugh a little, although Colors is better. Slow Start doesn't have as much charm.

Absolute Duo
add

For one, Absolute Duo and Seikoku no Dragonar (Dragonar Academy, in English) have similar school uniforms. The resemblance was apparent to me quickly. Both manga have a similar partner system. Absolute Duo has people infused with the lukifer partnering up with another person in their class, while Seikoku has chosen humans (dragonars) partnering up with dragons. Both have ecchi, although it's more toned down in Absolute Duo (1st volume, anyway). Both of them have a harem aspect and take place at a school, which is secluded from most of the outside world. Both series are easy to really enjoy, if you're a fan of their genres.

New Game!!
add

Both anime have eccentric characters, although people may not agree with me about that concerning New Game!!. Both casts get along surprisingly well despite their obvious personality differences and conflicts. The comedy tends to be a bit over the top. Both opening theme songs are amazing fun songs that introduce the viewer to the type of environment the shows offers. Both shows are in the slice of life and comedy genres. Every episode builds up the overall simple story, in both shows, but they seem episodic to an extent as well, so accidentally watching one episode out of order (not that I did) shouldn't throw off your understanding of what's happening. I may be recommending the second season of New Game!, New Game!!, but both seasons are worth watching. Someone already recommended season 1 so I wanted to add season 2 to the list. I'm sure a season 2 of Blend S would follow a similar format as New Game!! did, though.

Gamers!
add

Both shows are cute and focus about a group of characters who love games. New Game! is more slice of life and comedy, while Gamers is just comedy. Both casts are very lively and fun to watch. Gamers also tries to show couples with two parties that both love games, while New Game! has an all girls cast, unless you read the one manga chapter that has 1 guy (sorry for the spoiler, but it shouldn't be a big deal). The art style is cutesy in both anime. There are fun antics between the cast members in both shows. Every episode of both anime bring about at least some laughter. I personally like New Game! a lot more , but both shows are fun and enjoyable; I just find one way more fun and enjoyable than the other, but that doesn't detract from the enjoyment you'll get from Gamers.

Kimi no Na wa.
add

Both movies are about a tragic love story. Other people besides the main 2 characters the romance centers around, are needed to help bring about the happy ending. They both have high quality animation and art. I personally prefer Your Name( Kimi no na wa) a lot more and give it a 9/10, but Koe no Katachi is still a good movie and earns a 7/10.

Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records
add

For one, both Glenn and Tatsuya are overpowered. Both involve displaying magic that's fun to watch and creates epic battle scenarios and tension at the same time. Both have one main character ship; for the Irregular at Magic High School, it's Tatsuya and Miyuki, and for Akashic, I'd say Glenn and Sistine although there';s a huge age difference, but they work well together. I also love the opening themes for both anime along with the rest of the music.

Both Konosuba and Is it wrong to try up girls in a dungeon? are comedy anime set in an rpg environment. In, Konosuba, the rpg world is used as a parallel universe. In Is it wrong to try up girls in a dungeon?, their actually world is set up like an rpg instead of it being set as a world different from reality. Overall, both are really enjoyable to watch and have enjoyable characters; I personally like Darkness more than anybody in Dungeon though. I already made this recommendation for people who are watching Konosuba season 2, but it'll clearly work for the first season as well.

Hundred
add

Both Shuffle and Hundred are supernatural school based harem animes. Shuffle actually has different races and some (the gods and demons) have magic built up in their bodies, while Hundred just has people optimized to use the hundred weapons (each one is unique to that character). Both main characters don't really know which girl they want to choose from the beginning.

In Taboo Tattoo, people are connected through the tattoos. In Kill la Kill, people are connected through clothing made with life fibers. Both offer forms of enhanced power and allow the users to use special weapons and or powers such as making a void. They are both packed with exciting action and have their ups and downs in the story. Overall, both of them are great animes and I would highly recommend them.

Nejimaki Seirei Senki: Tenkyou no Alderamin

Despite what people think, Kirito, Asuna, and the others did rely on team work like the main crew of characters in Alderamin. Both main characters seem to be good at assessing their situation and acting accordingly. The majority of the time, their plans come through.
