THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS!!
...
Contains a HUGE SPOILER. But based on the CENTRAL goal of our main character - Thorfinn, which is to kill his father’s killer, the spoiler should be obvious after reading this sentence. The story takes place during the time of the Vikings. Our main character is Thorfinn, and he has one goal in his mind - revenge. This anime is both in manga and anime form, and you must at least see it or read it. The story is great, the pacing is pretty good, and the character development is top tier. I really recommend this. There’s one aspect of it that you might not like, though, and that is the main character. For some part of the story, Thorfinn seemed kinda one-dimensional. He had one thing in his mind, and that was revenge, and he rejected everything. From his crewmates to the captain - Askeladd ( I remember it as “Ask a lad”). He only seeks revenge and nothing else at least from the 24 anime episodes (I’m gonna continue the story in the manga since there won’t be a second season.) Askeladd, I loved his character. Another aspect you might not like in the anime is the CG. But don’t get me wrong, unlike the likes of some anime that used CG (bErsErK), the CG in Vinland Saga is kinda decent, and in some parts it was good. It poses some deep questions and it's not afraid to show the harsh reality of life (Although set in the times of the Vikings, some things that happened in the story still happens today, from rape to murder, but of course, not to extent that it happened in the story). You can either start from the manga or watch the anime and continue the story on chapter 54.

To be honest, going into the anime, I didn’t have that much of a high expectation. I mean it was just ANOTHER high school shoujo romance-comedy anime. And I was right. It was just like other anime. There is one boy and a girl and they OBVIOUSLY like each other, but for some reasons, don’t immediately admit it. There is rivalry between two boys over the main girl. The main boy, in this case, isn’t interested in any other girl other than the main girl, and they do stuff until they confess to each other. I watched the anime, and ended with them confessing

their feelings for each other and kissing. You may call that a spoiler, but to be honest, I can’t really think of it as a spoiler. I mean IT IS a high school romance anime about a girl and a boy. Of course there is going to be love confessions. It’s just a matter of when and how long will they take to finally confess. So I went into the anime with those expectations because it was OBVIOUS from the premise of the anime that they we’re gonna end up together. The destination was obvious, so what mattered to me was the journey. Being of a high school romance genre, you already sorta know part of the ending, so when watching this anime, just like other high school romcom animes, is not about the destination - if it's a standard high school romcom, you already know the ending, but the journey and the steps taken for them ending together. It's about how they changed and how their first true kiss went. It's about comedy along the journey. In some episodes, the comedy really hit and I found myself laughing out loud. It’s about the characters’ dynamics and interactions. So yeah, it was pretty good and I most definitely enjoyed it. I'm gonna read the manga now. The manga continues the anime on chapter 33. PS: As of watching the anime - I haven’t read the manga yet, I feel bad for my boy Hinata.

The story takes place in high school. Ok, let me start by saying that this manga is a must-read. You’re searching for comedy, it got you; you’re searching for romance, it got you; you’re searching for something of the supernatural, it got you. There are many aspects of this manga that I really loved, and I loved reading every single page of it. The comedy aspect of it hits very well and there were times it had me laughing out loud. I Loved it. When reading this manga, I also felt that it had some kind of mystery aspect to it, although not specifically of

the mystery genre, so if you’re into some light mystery, you might also enjoy it. Additionally, the harem it contains makes sense for the most part. I’ve watched some pretty bad harem animes, but unlike some harem manga that I’ve read or anime that I’ve watched, most of the attractions toward the main character make sense. They just don’t fall in love with the main character because he is the main character, but it is explained and it, again, made sense. The romance is built up, and there were characters’ growths. At least for me, it appeals even more on a personal level. Which I guess made me like it even more. I really enjoy reading it, No joke. Once I started reading, I did not want to put it down. No joke, I swear, I slept past 4 AM reading this manga, and it was worth it. To put it simply, I loved it, and you should give this manga a try. Along with Vinland Saga and Boarding School Juliet, this manga has become one of my favorites.

When going into this anime, I didn't really have that high expectation. I thought the anime would be like any other high school rom-coms that I have watched, which I was right. BUT at the same time, for me, it was much more than that. When the comedy hits, they really hit, and I laugh. It was sweet (I think I have diabetes now, jk), the characters were very likeable, and the romance between Romio Inuzuka, the main male protagonist, and Juliet Persia, the main female protagonist, was phenomenal. I shipped them all the way to the moon, and up to episode 8, this anime

has become one of my favorite romance anime. I'm not really into the romance genre, so this took the cake. I'm now more interested in more anime similar to these. I would definitely recommend giving this anime a watch. ALTHOUGH I did like it, it does not mean you might also like it. It has flaws, but since I'm not a harsh critic or nitpicky, I can easily overlook its flaws and focus on the good aspects of the show. So, you might not like the show depending on how harsh of a critic or nitpicky you are, or the show doesn't fit your taste. Either way, I'm really enjoying the show, and I think you should give it a try. Inuzuka and Persia have become my second favorite anime couple up to now. I just finished the anime, and I loved it, so I’m gonna continue in the manga. If you’re interested, the manga continues the anime on chapter 19, and from my first impression, the art style looks very chic and nice.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS!!
...
Kimi no Iru Machi [A Town Where You Live): Well let me start by saying that these are my personal opinions. Because I liked or disliked some parts of it doesn’t mean you will also like it. [There are some major spoilers, so read at your own caution]. Most of the story revolved around Haruto Kirishima trying to get back with his childhood Yuzuki Eba. So it was like a typical high school romance anime, which like other high school romance anime was pretty predictable, as in you know that they were gonna end up together. But what I found interesting is that, unlike other high school romances, the manga continued by exploring their relationship after high school and through college, and the challenges that came with it. That was a pro. But be cautious, you will hate some of the character's actions because their actions can be very questionable sometimes. Like this one: SPOILERS AHEAD!
[When Haruto broke up with Asuka, whom he was dating, to get back with Eba after she rejected him a couple of years ago. I personally deeply felt Asuka’s pain, and for that part of the story, hated Haruto.] You might also dislike the kinda harem feeling it has, where many girls like Haruto because he is a nice guy, which he is, but come on, there are also other nice guys besides Haruto. Go and find someone else already. So if you're not a fan of the harem genre, you might not enjoy it as much. But I will recommend this series. The romance was pretty good, although predictable, and I enjoyed how it explored their relationship after college and the difficulties they faced. I will personally recommend reading the manga instead of watching the anime. I’m out!
