Welcome!

My name is Jacob. I've been watching anime for some time now. Chat with me sometime send me a comment. The first anime I ever watched was Naruto, and boy I loved it. I thought anime couldn't get better than that but boy was I wrong. If i had to chose 3 anime to watch for the rest of my life, I would chose Clannad Attack on Titan and Mushishi. I love Romance, Drama, Mystery, and Adventure anime. If you have any questions, or concerns, always feel free to ask me.

Hey there, so sorry for the very late response. I have been extremely busy and really wanted to take the time to write a proper response.

I just recently finished watching Darling in the FranXX again. The first time, I watched it, I gave it 10/10 but now watching it again I'm giving it 7/10. I think I gave it that rating the first time around because of the hype and how much I enjoyed it. But yeah, safe to say, Darling in the FranXX is overrated now.

Mermaid's Scar by Rumiko Takahashi is another I can think of, at least the anime adaptation, not a good one. Also Laughing Target by Rumiko Takahashi, again not a very good anime adaptation.

Cyber City Oedo 808, adaptation done by Madhouse in the 90s, it was alright, but a little bit overrated when I hear some people talk about how good it is. Same with Demon City Shinjuku.

Other than that, it's hard for me to think about what is overrated. I try not to watch anime because of hype.

So sorry it took me this long to respond again. I've been quite busy. But I hope we can chat again soon ^_^

Well, it's a tough question. I didn't really get the hype for Oregairu and I couldn't complete it beacuse I was bored. So my answer would be Oregairu.

I really like some of the openings! And the main theme is great too.
But the problem is that there are a lot of grown up people who really think is a great series about "respect and friendship" and sadly those are just hollow themes in this series.
Taking the character design, I really love Hiro Mashima´s art style, but as you said, the characters look all the same!

Hi! Sorry for the late reply.

This is my personal opinion, but I think a lot of people give too much credit to Fairy Tale, and I can´t see the good points about it´s overused plot, one-dimensional characters, and boring passing.
I just can say it has its good points, like the "Fairy Tale Zero Arc", but are too few compared to the big amount of trash episodes it has.

I hope this answered your question :)

One Piece honestly

Hmm that's a tough question for me. While Demon Slayer and Jujutsu came to mind first, they somewhat deserve their reputation for their high production quality.
Not a big fan of Spy x Family, pretty confused as to why it was so popular, especially among those who don't even watch anime.
Shinkai films as well. They're a heck of an experience, but there are also tons of amazing animation films out there.
I don't really like to use the word overrated. I believe every show deserves its own place, but sometimes mainstream shows outshine others. I think it's important for the viewers to broaden their horizons and step outside their comfort zone.

I agreed with the comment below👇 First anime that comes to mind is Demon Slayer. The story is straight-forward, Each season so far be like; New Hashira vs New upper rank demons, even they tried to make character backstories. Both humans and demons, They all ended up having their tragic family story in the past. And the way they overcame their opponents during the fight was just thinking of their family or someone important from their past and then can defeat the opponent. I never read its manga tho, if the author already changed this overused cliche in the late arcs. By the way, because of how straight it is, It’s friendly to anime newcomers to become anime fans in the future. All character’s looks were designed so great and lovable as well. The visuals by Ufotable also made a new standard of anime these days

Demon Slayer probably? It's carried by (fantastic) visuals, which are a solid 9 or 10/10. However, the actual plot and characters are meh.

Yeah I agree with you. I enjoy watching. One of the best beautiful anime :)
Yuben Aug 7, 2021 11:49 PM
To be honest, I'm really enjoying it, every episode just let you with more questions and a big necessity of answers.
I think a lot of people only talks about the limited animation, but I think that despite of it, they do what they have to do in the most important sequences and bring an enjoyable anime.
What about you? :)
