If you're a seasoned anime watcher, and you read the synopsis, maybe did the 3-episode rule, YOU KNOW HOW THIS IS GOING TO BE.
Unless you actually like non-unique trash ecchi shows, then don't even bother with this! I'm not saying all ecchi anime is bad, I'm just saying a lot of it is all the same garbage re-skinned with different neon-hair colored anime girls and plain protags.
So, to sum this up,
Overpowered MC gets ditched by dad, left with two stepsisters that do not know what going too far is with siblings. They try to juke him, he jukes them, randomly says to protect them,
...
and now he's protecting them.
Extras may include: (especially if you watch the uncensored version)
-MC pulling salvation out of his ass
-Pretty much incest
-Lots of switching between saving the imoutos and imouto bath time
-Rituals that if done wrong give you neck tatoos that make you horny
-nipple sucking
-Dense MC
-thirsty childhood friend
-MC is perfect and apparently has no human personality flaws
-MORE nipple sucking! (one part even with maple syrup :D)
You see right there, what a package!
Honestly, this is the most borderline hentai anime I have ever watched, MC trying to create a stronger "bond" with his step-sister and also "slave" technically.
You know this anime trash, when the only reason you watch it, is because your bro would give you a crispy $5.
But anyway, enough ranting, (well maybe a little bit more)
Opening, ok, not memorable though.
I actually liked the art style, but some of the animation was lazy (especially in some fight scenes)
I actually did find the MC attractive, till I saw his steadily growing and competitive harem along with his Mary Sue personality. Though I did want to know more about him and childhood friend's backstory.
Didn't get much of course tho :P
I won't lie, the last couple of episodes had me actually interested and "into it" but still, the anime leaves you unsatisfied, as we find out Naruse Mio AKA No-Life-No-Bra Maple tits and Naruse Maria AKA ProcreateWithYouInACorner loli are still being sought after.
And OTP Nonaka Yuki AKA KuudereChildhoodfriendWithThatBootyTho and MC never sailed, OBVIOUSLY.
Overall, not really anything special. You really, really, don't need to watch this.

Ok, Ok, I know, I'm giving an INCEST CANNIBALISM anime a 4, like, omg that's too high! You might say, but let me explain.
Aside from, the incest, I like the concept of the show, if it was longer I feel like it could've been interesting. When I watched this I was disgusted for sure. Turning to my best friend watching it with me and going, "ew, well that happened"
But I'm serious, if this was a 24 episode, 25 minute length series, and it got serious developments, plot twists and the what nots it could've been SOMETHING at least, instead of a notorious half an
...
hour sitting of pure uncomfortableness. But then again if it was going at the rate it was, it still would probably not be good.
Aside from that, sound, eh it's ok, I've heard worse. Art? I actually like the art style, it reminds me of Wolf Girl Black Prince a little bit. But there was some weird parts in the anime (ASIDE from the incest cannibalism) where sometimes they would censor a gore scene, but then another rolls around and it doesn't? Inconsistent censoring.
Overall, you may as well watch it, honestly with you reading this review, you almost certainly already heard of the horrors of Pupa. I did too before I watched it, and compared to other things I've watched, it actually isn't that...disturbing. But maybe you're not like me, maybe you're squeamish or you've been dared to watch this, I don't know. But in the long run you may as well watch it, but only to say you've watched it. There isn't anything fulfilling about this anime. There was a very slim chance, but still a chance of it being an ok horror anime, but it isn't. So go watch it and thank the anime gods that it will only take you around half an hour to complete it.

To be honest, this anime never really had got me coming back to it. For me, that's usually a sign I'm not interested in it if I don't want to watch the next episodes. But every time I did come back to an episode, I enjoyed myself.
The basis for this anime is very plain and simple, just 12 (13 if you count the OVA) straight episodes of moe girl stereo types living their daily life throughout their art school. I myself do like to draw, but I am not that "artsy" per say, my doodles are quite alright but I don't do much more than
...
that, I only sketch. With my limited knowledge of art, there was a lot of jokes I didn't get, but I still enjoyed this anime.
There is always at least one really interesting thing that happens each episode that is pretty enjoyable. This anime was actually very informational to me. For the art/animation and sound, the actual anime art itself is very plain, but ok for the eyes. However, some of the actual drawn art in the anime, by the characters, is quite good. The opening is really catchy for me, hearing the "hitotsu, hitotsu, hitotsu, hitotsu" makes me happy every time. And the ending is always different too. So props to the studio for the extra effort.
But honestly, the only reason I can give you to watch this is if you like moetrash or art. Because honestly, I do XD
Sometimes you just need something to draw away the crippling depression temporarily you know. Like spending your time watching a cutesy art anime where everyone is having fun and well...you're....

Hidan no Aria is a bit of a conundrum for me, I can sense what kind of niche audience it was trying to reach, and I can bet it failed. Even though the genre mixture of Action, Comedy, Romance, and School can work fine together, you still have to be careful with it.
You can have a anime that has lots of action and serious moments, and plenty of comedy, you just need to know when to place where.
I'll be straightforward, stuff I didn't like:
-Out of place/Too much added and bland comedy.
-Characters
I probably would've enjoyed this anime more if it was just a episode-by-episode anime (I
...
liked how the OVA was) about Main-Boy and Tsun-girl go with highschool pals and complete missions together as Butei. But unfortunately no.
With anime like this you it's hard to have both cliche anime comedy....and adding the "serious moments" into it too, it makes it hard to take seriously, with the added fanservice during those "serious moments" doesn't help it either.
The other issue is with the characters, most of them are reallllyyyy ANNOYING.
I would have been fine if the characters had begun annoying, but gradually developed into good characters, but that doesn't happen.
Let's take Aria for example, she's being the standard, abusive tsundere loli, she gets into a couple SHOULD-BE "personality-changing moments" with the main guy, she should change at least a little bit, at LEAST her view on him. But no, she still acts like a b.
Only thing that changes is she likes him a lil bit, but is still an asswad to him!
Just in general, one part of the show I feel like had potential was its story shift. But it also could've done way better, so I don't actually like the story shift, I just like the concept...a little.
From the majority of the characters being revealed as descendants of history-making people from Europe, and them all having ancestral grudges to each other, was actually pretty interesting. I haven't watch AA yet, but if it expands more upon this, I feel like I would enjoy it more.
Pretty much, this anime is....ok depending on how you look at how the genres are executed. I hope AA can redeem this series, but I will say I don't really expect it too.
(Also the OP was plain for me at first but then it grew on me lol.)

I have very mixed feelings about this one, it reminds me of ef: a tale of memories, I only enjoyed half/some parts of the anime. I feel like Densetsu had a lot of potential.
Probably the biggest issue with this anime is it's way of story telling (and characters a little bit) some of the transitions between episodes leave you very confused,
"How did this event, suddenly turn to that one?"
and overall just the general plot sometimes can get confusing. (ESPECIALLY around the end)
With this flaw, I just think the anime wasted it's time and could've been a good anime, not to mention its huge cliff-hanger
...
at the end.
The other issue is with its characters, I feel there a lot of unnecessary characters, and maybe some of them were necessary, but with the anime ending on a cliff-hanger, we don't get to see their "necessary-ness" again, it could've done better. A lot of times comedy is thrown in a little to much for the characters' situations, and it bugs me a little bit, although it isn't quite out of place as let's say Akame ga Kill!
But let's get to some of the good points.
I like the Art/Animation, I really do, it is very pretty and the effects are nice, I really like how the guys and girls look, their faces are well, attractive to be blunt. But when one of the characters (Ferris) when her bangs "flip" it has this weird animation for them where it looks like her hair merges together in a weird way, I don't know you'd have to see for yourself.
Another thing, even if this was an anime that probably wouldn't get most people thinking, it did for me at some points, a little morale questioning here and there. There were parts of the anime I really enjoyed, and others, well,
This anime took me 3 months to complete, and not just because I was pressed for time because of school, it just wasn't interesting to me, at a lot of points it didn't have me coming back to it on my free time. Only by my sheer OCD completionist nature did it give me the power to binge-finish it.
Overall, I liked the anime somewhat, I feel if it ever got a S2 (which will probably never happen) and if it was done better it would be a great anime. This however, I don't feel satisfied from watching it, some of the ups of it were nice, but it didn't captivate me. You can watch this if you want, just don't expect too much.
(Also btw the music is good, but the second opening has WAY better cinematography)

Ok, I may be giving this anime a generous review, but truth be told I still enjoyed this anime.
It was one of the "so bad its good" ones.
This anime had a lot of cool things going for it, but the story it tried to tell was way too much for just 10 episodes.
First of all, I will just tell the things I liked about it.
It had a good concept it was interesting, also good OP, really cool, and good OST too, I really noticed it (except some times the music was a little weird for the tone of the scenes) and it had good art
...
and animation.
But those things is what I call just glorious accessories for an anime, not actually the flesh and bones. The truly important things of an anime (at least what I think) are characters, execution, and writing. Which it all failed miserably.
So in these terms, this anime would be a dead rat with some nice jewelry.
We would be like, "Oh wow! Nice jewelry! But why does this dead rat have it ew...."
But even so, I enjoyed this anime because it was so bad. One of my pet peeves are ridiculous character logic, I can't stand it. But it does make for an interesting night of screaming and raging.
But for this, it did make me scream, but it also did make me laugh.
So pretty much yeah, you can watch it if you want, but don't take it seriously, you will be disappointed. But if you don't want to watch the anime, there is one reason you should watch it, and it's because of a certain scene, if you watched Big Order, you would know what I mean (cough cough) Iyo and Reiji (cough cough) ribbon.
Oh and also incest warning too.

Ok people, there's just some anime you don't critically analyze, you just accept and enjoy what they are, KonoSuba! Is one of those anime.
Who watches KonoSuba for the plot? Nobody, (unless you mean the PLOT, plot ;) )
The 'going to a new world trope has been recycled so much, nobody watches it for the plot.
Basically, KonoSuba is so full of 'un-cliches' that those un-cliches become the cliches of the anime? Makes sense? KonoSuba is funny with its characters and situations and just how brutally, relatably, and realistic some of their problems are. Especially with studio Deen animating it, I was going to be in for
...
quite a ride. Studio Deen's had some pretty strange animating moments (cough cough Higurashi) but it actually turned out for the better in KonoSuba with hilarious badly-drawn faces.
Overall, just a good time for 10 episodes, I highly recommend the second season two, I wish they went more forward in the plot though. (Also I love the EDs of KonoSuba, so relaxing!)

I highly recommend watching the original Gundam Build Fighters before this, as it will add more enjoyment to this installment.
To be honest I never really cared about Gundam or Gundam anime that much, even though I will pretty much watch anything. But most people here in the reviews are going on about how the original is better, and yes I will have to agree too, but you know what? I still enjoyed this. Reading the reviews of this anime made me realize that I'm still quite like an anime newb watcher (not really though) Because I enjoyed the anime thoroughly and only noticed the flaws
...
afterwords reading the other reviews, yes this series does make me feel like a kid again, even though I still am.
Anyway,
The story is almost the same as Gundam Build Fighters, except on a smaller scale, and to be honest I liked it better that it was on a lesser scale, it really gives off the feeling how the next generation is carrying on the hopes and dreams of the previous generation through their love of Gundam. Just like the original GBF it has a more light hearted approach on Gundam.
Since this is the more recent installment of the GBF series, it obviously has better art and animation, I personally think it's fine, the Gunpla look nice and move well, the art with the characters may look plain but they look fine too. But hey, I think GBFT would be completely fine to show to kids, and if you compare this to whatever American "action" toons are, they will find it freakin amazing.
One of my favorite parts is the music, which I think is better than the original (except for the EDs the GBF EDs were so catchy!) I always think an OP is supposed to get you excited/ready to start the show and enjoy it and that's exactly what it did.
Now, here is where I, and everyone else starts talking about the meh points of this anime.
The…CHARACTERS!
Everyone here is right when they say the characters are really nothing special. I do think they started out well (some of them at least) but in the end just..nothing new, they were just..done before. The only thing I really enjoyed about the anime was appearances of characters from the original, (But I like Shia tho)
And one more thing about the characters, it couldn't have been only me that thought this, and It does kinda seem dumb, but 2 of the main characters look pretty similar in some sense to the previous GBF MCs. Sekai looks like Reiji, and Yuuma looks like Sei.
But I still enjoyed it for the most part. Which is pretty interesting this series has caught my eye since it kinda takes genres and my sub-genres I don't really care much for (Tournaments, and Gundams)
But probably the things that make me enjoy this anime is just it makes me feel like a kid again.
And, that I really like seeing people passionate about things they love, (unless it's really cringey)
So overall, it's a nice watch casually, but the first season is still way more superior.

I'm just going to make this quick because so many other people have reviewed this but pretty much what I have to say is, Attack on Titan season 2 was good, but not waiting for 4 years good.
Even though I enjoyed Kabeneri of the Iron Fortress, I would have much rather have had that project canceled for a full 24-ep season of AOT.
There's some things it maintains really well like the art and animation, absolutely gorgeous and amazing. But others not so much, after soon finding out about the beast titan, you want to get right into it, but the anime kinda delays it and
...
sets aside for more character development which is ok, just in the wrong moment. Also some other things that are "revealed" and other such are not done well, (If you watch it you'll see what I mean)
But overall, still brilliant in many aspects and worth the watch.
Also I just wanted to talk about the ED of the anime, its....creepy.
It reminded me if a child that was mentally scarred by the titans wrote the song and drew the pictures, its..not pleasant.
Anyway, thanks for reading!

Some people say this is a classic (Also an "oldie" and a "goodie") and some people say it's crap.
You know what I think?
It's both.
Now if ya'll have read my other reviews (Which you probably haven't) you know I've watched stuff a 10-13 year old shouldn't watch(Corpse Party, Kuzu no Honkai), and I'm adding this next on that list.
I never really would give myself a specific reviewer name, but if I did, for now it would be
...
"Strange-Pre-Pubescent-Girl-That-Watches-Stuff-She-Ain't-Supposed-To
or SPPGTWSSAST
lets just pronounce that as Suh-Pudge-Gut-Wih-Sassed
(That name won't last long tho)
But anyway, reason why I think it would be both a piece of crap and a classic
or what I like to call a crappy classic, is that it had potential.
While me being the dumb child I am could only follow the basic frame of the story, I knew they were trying to tell some special cybernetic tale of loss, science and gore, but it just got too much for me. At least with Shinsekai Yori I got most of it.
It probably would've been a classic if not for the writing. (But still even if it had good writing not too many people would watch it because of its gore, its probably only known in the anime world because of it)
But anyway, tried to make a story, had the potential to do it, its too complicated, and probably too gory for most.
Overall it just brought back some "lovely" memories of back in the day when I watched Corpse Party, and for a while I thought Corpse Party was the worst (or best) gore anime, with its eye ball stabbing and tongue cutting, but I was clearly proven wrong when I watched Genocyber.
I did not expect it to be this gory, but then again I kinda knew deep down inside, something about such an old animation and murderous aliens (or whatever they are) did not sit well with me. Also something about super detailed gore with old animation just gives me the chills, but real life movie gore I still find worse.
If you ever thought Parasyte was bad with its gore, body morphing horror, parasites and such then you would be happy (probably not tho) to see its great grandaddy Genocyber (but i'm pretty sure they are not actually related)
But yeah, one of the worst anime you can show to your grandma (and if not you got one very messed up grandma) that is not hentai.
Thanks for reading.
