It's been years since I have felt so compelled to write a review but this manga is nothing short of amazing.
The one word that sums Bokura no Kiseki up perfectly is Solid. Although a boring word at first, not many series can pull off being such an enjoyable read whilst still maintaining such a high quality of thought, art, plot line and character development.
The storyline is not something I have seen in many other series. It's an interesting blend of mystery, fantasy and action, all while taking place in the modern setting of a typical Japanese high school. It's also quite nice to see that
...
despite having some elements of romance, the author does a good job of putting it on the back burner in favour of advancing the more meaty parts of the plot. Despite being a huge fan of romance myself, it's refreshing to read a series that doesn't prioritize romance like the usual manga or anime. Now as for the actually plot, despite the main setting taking place in a high school, students of a particular homeroom slowly begin to discover that they were all reincarnations of a group of people that once lived in the same castle, with the heads of the castle being Prince Eugene and Princess Veronica. After recollecting all their memories, they realize that their past lives all died due to a war between the Prince and Princess' peoples. Despite once being enemies, they begin to all work together to figure out exactly what happened in the past and who betrayed who.
What really shines about this manga is the character development of both the main and supporting characters. Everybody first begins by being a joyful happy go lucky team of classmates but as the characters begin remembering moments from their past, you can see the great toll that it takes on them both mentally and emotionally, as it should. Many people who were once friends become enemies; happy people begin to become more somber like their old personalities; and feelings of loyalty, hatred, love, and admiration come out of no where. It's amazing to watch each character deal with this significant change and how they slowly learn to not ignore or succumb to their old personalities, but to coexist with them as a new person.
What's amazing about this manga as well is how real each character is portrayed. Nobody is made out to be a martyr or a villain. They're just human; each character has their ups and downs, and their bad qualities along with their good. Paired with the plot of how the antagonist stays in the shadows the whole time, it makes discovering who the antagonist that much more thrilling. On top of that, the author has an amazing way of making the reader go on an utterly convincing goose hunt. Some characters that you once thought were good, you slowly begin to suspect. Other characters that you thought were definitely bad, are revealed to be good. Some that were good become bad and then good again and vice versa. It's absolutely amazing how intricate the plot is whist still being incredibly easy to understand. I can verify myself, as a certified idiot.
There's not much to comment on the Art. It's very simple but still pleasing to the eye. Characters are easily differentiated from one another, despite the author making fun of how confusion would arise if the characters were to get a hair cut. But otherwise, the art is a great compliment to the amazing plot and even more amazing characters.
Although I'm not a huge fan of fantasy, I have no regrets picking this manga up. It was a thrilling adventure for my mind to follow and it's a read that I highly, highly recommend.

What brought me to write a review for Scarlet was not only because I enjoyed reading it quite a bit, but also because the description synopsis thing for this manga is just horrid. It doesn’t do it justice at all. IGNORE ITS EXISTENCE.
The description makes this story look like another typical manga about the relationship between a frivolous, inconsiderate playboy and a pushover uke which it’s not...kinda. Rather than spoiling the whole manga for you, since it is a rather short story, just trust me when I say the characters are much more dimensional than the typical character you can find in
...
yaoi, and more than that, it’s really a rather beautiful tragic love story. The love between Ryou and Akio is pure; they can’t stop loving one another other no matter what hurtful thing they may do to each other.
Ryou, rather than an ignorant playboy like the description implies, is a lonely, childish and incredibly handsome man who basically has the mindset of a 2 year old, ESPECIALLY around Akio. Ryou depends on Akio and clings to him desperately, but strays easily since he’s (a) naive and (b) hates being lonely. Akio on the other hand, though shorter in stature and physical build, wears the pants in the relationship but dotes on Ryou in his own way. He consistently forgives Ryou for his infidelity but only when this evil little witch comes, does the real trouble start happening. After that, you basically go through a pretty crazy and twisted rollercoaster of how Ryou and Akio deal with their relationship and the painful trials they have to go through.
Aside from the main story between Akio and Ryou, Scarlet also contains 2 extra stories and they’re both really cute too.
The art...FANTASTIC. That is all.
Just kidding. I’ve compared my thoughts with others before and many agree that you either love or hate Hiro Madarame’s art style. I personally love love love her art (yes, it deserves repetition), so I’m pretty biased on this section. The characters are just soo utterly attractive and when the occasional chibi pops up, you just can’t help but squeal and pinch the computer’s screen. Plus, the naughty scenes are super steamy ;D
As far as enjoyment goes, it gets a pretty high grade on this. The main characters surprisingly didn’t bug me, the art was extremely pleasing to look at, my inner fan girl got all the naughty hot sex scenes she wanted, and I didn’t regret reading it or feel like I wasted my time. This may be just my personal taste, but I really enjoyed this story and I recommend it for anybody who is looking for a yaoi that’s a little darker, but also a little more emotion urking than the average yaoi out there. But with that said, Scarlet still has a wonderful air of humor to it, making this manga a story that maintains a good balance between the light and dark.
Cheers. Now go and read it.
Shoo, shoo.

An extremely fantastic manga, if I may say so myself.
I absolutely adore this manga and i'm honestly shocked that there are not many other reviews for this. I found this manga to be brilliant, not to mention thoroughly entertaining.
The story is basically about a girl who is brought back in time to the ancient Egyptian time by an evil queen. Sounds pretty bland and cheesy, but surprisingly it was rather fresh. Red River is a wonderful combination of genres wrapped all in one single manga and presented in a way that will, without a doubt, keep you entertained. Action, romance (definitely!), drama, evil sadistic
...
ness- this manga dipped into a lot of genres. This manga did a wonderful job pulling readers into their plots. Reading Red River, at times, made me develop a passionate desire to punch some characters, kiss them, hug them, cry for them, pull their hair, cheer for them, throw my oversized textbooks at them (and let me tell you, they’re big and heavy enough to knock a bear out), and many more.
The art of Red River was pretty old school, but still was very charming and definitely not so old school that it may repulse people who can get easily distracted by awful art (haha, i'm one). Actually, to the contrary, I thought the art was really good looking most of the times. In the beginning of the manga, where the background was still in modern day Japan, I probably would've found the art to be just satisfactory. But when the background of the story changed to Ancient Egypt, the art did a 180 and turned absolutely gorgeous. The ancient Egyptian clothes were everything that I wished it to be and more. The artist was wonderful in drawing the clothing since it was clear in the manga that the artist knew how to draw peasant clothes, flashy clothes, plain clothes, beautiful clothes, all those types, with the same charming style. Not to mention, all the characters were drawn rather well and, at many times, there were characters that were so good looking, I swooned a bit.
The characters. My goodness, I cannot even describe how much I enjoyed the characters of this manga. They were all wonderfully unique and realistic in their own way, with the addition of each having their own charm. Character development was clear in this manga and it was done extremely well, in my opinion. The main protagonist of this manga developed from a feeble young girl to somebody who could be reckoned with and I loved it! At the dark and dramatic times of this manga, it was quite surprising who was revealed to be the evil character. I mean, there were quite a number of times new evil characters popped up, and I must admit I was suspicious of everybody and to my delight and surprise, characters I didn’t expect to be evil were evil and the characters I did were not (with the exception of the main antagonists)! The main male character I found to be incredible sweet. Such a love sick puppy I found him to be, yet still strong and upholding as any character I’ve met (read about) thus making such a wonderful character to favor. Honestly, I really can’t describe how much I enjoyed this manga’s characters so I apologize that this section probably just consists of relatively useless blabber.
Maybe I’m at a lost for words, or maybe I’m just having a writer’s block, so please do your best to not judge this manga on the fact that my review is both choppy and probably not that great. But despite what my lack of writing skill may present to you, I really, honestly and purely, definitely recommend this manga; if not for the wonderful and relatively unique plot, or the gorgeous art, or the fantabulous characters, then for the pure and simple fact that this manga is such a sweet romance story, it can give you both an achy tooth and swell your heart up full of love.

I thought this manga was absolutely wonderful. Though the art was not always consistent, at times (and there were many) the art was really quite spectacular. A tragic romantic tale with bits and pieces of almost every genre in it. Indeed it is mainly a dramatic romance, but it also contained a lot of comedy and inspiring parts. It’s mainly religious, referring to God and faith a lot of the times, but not enough for a person like me who is not religious, to be uncomfortable. Rather, it has deep insight on somebody who has tremendous faith in one’s religion, with the addition of
...
some insight on human behavior. The story was really sweet. The plot flowed well unlike many mangas out there where, for some attempt at bettering the plot, out-of-nowhere things are thrown in to the story. Everything was well related and though sometimes it was predictable, it was still a very good story. It kept my attention and entertained me throughout the time I was reading it. I personally found the ending to be extremely superb. It wasn’t a completely shocker that made readers think ‘Where the heck did this come from? This sucks and I’m annoyed now. I’m going to stop reading this manga out of pure hatred for this 180 plot twist.’ Instead, it made me feel somewhat prepared for it as well as making it more touching since the feelings have been accumulating since the beginning of the manga. Generally, this manga was a wonderful read. It was sweet, cute, really nice, and I really enjoyed reading it.

I thought this manga was great. The storyline is pretty thin but still wonderfully entertaining (like Gintama, but a more shorter and less detailed way). Basically each chapter has a different story but the characters stay consistent throughout the manga. Just a fun read about boys and girls in grade school- pretty perverted but not the hardcore type (like Perverted funny =D). There's really not much to say except I seriously enjoyed this manga. It was cute, funny, the art was hilarious (the facial expressions are priceless!) and it reminded me of the good old days when you were in grade school. I loved it,
...
it was adorable and definitely, without a doubt, an entertaining read.

Such a light, ridiculously funny manga.
Perfect for the summer. There's really nothing much to say. The story is simple and light. Not too dramatic, yet not all just fun and games.
A sweet romance between a young school boy and an older woman. The manga, most of the time, is in the older woman's perspective which is perfectly fine. This manga is hilarious, sweet, and oh so wonderful.
The art in this manga is truly wonderful. There are so many times when the art switches from the type of horrid style that is meant for humorous mangas, to an absolutely beautiful style that really makes the characters
...
look very attractive. I find that because of its range of varying art styles, it makes the manga better.
The characters are all very enjoyable to read about. The main character (older woman) is so funny, flamboyant, outgoing, and to be quite honest, really horny. The school boy doesn't act like his age at all but he is so sweet and irresistibly cute. All the other character contribute really well to the humorous parts of the manga. There aren't many serious characters but when you do meet them, it is a very nice change for this manga.
Overall, I really really really enjoyed this manga. It was so funny and a perfect read for somebody who's just looking for a light romantic comedy. It had quite a deep meaning yet stayed in a relatively light mood throughout the manga. It showed the struggle the two main characters had to go through considering their age difference, as well as all the rewards they gained from being together. I really enjoyed this manga and defiantly recommend it to everybody- even if you don't enjoy romantic comedy- this manga is truly a great read.

I really enjoyed Hatsukoi Limited. It surprised me how enjoyable it was. Many compare this manga to Ichigo 100% because they share the same mangaka but personally, I found Hatsukoi Limited much more enjoyable. Though there wasn't much character development I still felt a strange charm and attraction to all the characters unlike in Ichigo 100%. All the characters were introduced and given a nice summary, some more then others. None were left out and I thought that was really nice. When I first saw this manga I thought it would just be a whole bunch of one-shots about school girls falling in love
...
over..and over..and over again. Yet, surprisingly, it's nothing really like that. I mean there are school girls, and there's definitely love but all the stories were connected to one another. Not to mention there were stories in guy POVs as well (which I usually enjoy more). Additionally, I found that the characters in this manga were so charming that it didn't take much for me to be attached or label some of them my favorites. And as many readers know, reading about characters you favor is almost always thoroughly enjoyable- which is what it was for me. I couldn't wait to read about my favorite couples and I couldn't wait to cheer for some couples and even, as I must shamefully admit, hope for some couples to fail.
The art in this manga was really well done as well. All the characters were nice to look at and there's really nothing that I can find wrong/bad about the art in this manga. Not to mention, the variety of faces in this manga was quite ranged too. I mean there were plain faced boys, thug like boys, otaku looking boys, handsome boys, and.. well actually all the girls were generally really good-looking.
The whole manga had a very nice feel to it. Nothing to dramatic, nothing too mushy- just a nice light romance comedy about teenage girls and boys learning about the harsh, sweet, and bittersweet thing called love.
I really enjoyed this manga. It was a surprisingly good read. I definitely recommend it to anybody who wants to read a light romantic comedy. And though it seems kind of long, the stories are nicely varied yet all connected to one another, plus keeps you entertained the whole way through. (:

When I first read the summary of this manga it didn't appeal to me at all, but when I actually read the manga, it sucked me in. It's a crazy tale about kids stuck in a corrupted world where they face discrimination, deadly drugs, gang war, and so much more. It's absolutely mind boggling how dark this manga is yet it's so revitalizing. The struggles the characters go through, and the values and outlook on life the characters in this book have are incredible.
Though the summary did say that Fire Candy is about kids who are "halves" I didn't feel any thing different about
...
them at all. They seemed like normal kids (past all the dark stuff they do) to me despite how different their genetic coding was. They lived hard lives because of how they were born, and this book shows readers all the hardships and dirt they had to go through. It's twisted, deep, dark, crazy, and I absolutely love it.
The art is completely unique to me. The cover (profile picture) was alright to me, but when you actually look inside the book you can tell how truly wonderful the art is. The characters are all good-looking, some parts of manga look truly realistic, and overall, it's simply a delight to look at.
The characters are all special and wonderful. You can tell how dark their lives have been and it seriously makes me depressed on all the things they had to face throughout their life. Yet despite all that, they seem like happy children. Warped but happy. The manga shows all of them in a teenage gang. They all look happy to just live and fight together with their friends and it's just awesome to see them enjoying life and shoving the unwanted discrimination up all those anal attentive people.
Mostly the manga is set in the teenage gang life. They show a little childhood but mainly the story and plot consists of this special teenage gang fighting with other gangs, and stuff like that.
I loved the manga and I hope people enjoy it too!

I've never played the PS2 game before but I swear, thanks to this manga I'm just about to jump out of my chair and go buy a ps2 just to play this game.
The story is by-far very original to me, the art is absolutely fabulous. So fabulous i'm completely awe-struck. I seriously am hardcore loving the art, the characters are all so handsome and, though this is quite shallow, i love mangas with beautiful people.
The characters all have their individual personalities, but there are some depth in certain characters like how their first impression make you think, 'oh well he's obviously going to be
...
the [insert stereotype] for this manga' but then all of sudden, you look inside his mind and you're like, 'Oh my, when was he ever like that?'.
The story, like I said, was pretty original for me. I can for sure say, that this story plot is completely possible in reality. I mean, what they're saying in the story makes the readers think that this is possibly happening in real life and I find that a very good aspect in a fictional story. The main reason why many read stories is to escape reality, or to make things in real life more exciting. If the possibility of the story being true is in your mind, then hell yeah, my life is a bit more exciting.
I'm defiantly giving this manga high points considering how much I love the art (especially how the main character was drawn >.<). But the story and the characters are also pretty awesome too, so really what else can I say? I pretty much love this manga and I can't wait for more!

I love this manga. It's really cute and very sweet. It's a sweet story that tells about how two guys, who have both faced extreme hardships in the past, meet and come together to help each other with getting over their pain. It's very short but I find that though the length was short, the feelings were present and that's what makes this manga a good read.
Indeed it is a yaoi manga but unlike other yaoi, it has quite a deep story. Not too cheesy, and not completely made up of ecchi stuff (i.e. sex).
The characters have their strengths and weaknesses. Both leading males
...
characters depend on one another. Both are (obviously) gay, yet still retain their masculinity thus CUT does not fit the stereotypical character-ing in yaoi where one is a bubbly naive baby, and the other a hard-core beast. ;)
An enjoyable read, that I must say, squeezed my heart for the better.
