Let me start by saying that I love romance anime. Some of my favorite anime series ever are Shakugan no Shana, Toradora, and Nanatsuiro Drops. However, this one really falls flat in terms of its execution and characters.
As for the movie, the story was actually very interesting; it piqued my interest and made me want to start watching immediately. Two people who fall in love, get together, but eventually drift apart. This movie would have been excellent if it wasn't for the following reasons:
1. The characters are so unbelievably flat. I watched this movie last week and I can't even remember any names. (In fact,
...
I couldn't remember any names an hour after watching it.) Any great movie can pull off fleshing out and portraying very powerful characters in just an hour and a half. However, this one does quite the opposite. There was very little character development throughout the entire movie.
2. There were little to no scenes outside of strictly the main plot line. Sound like a strange reason? Well, the main plot line really wasn't very interesting. Intriguing, but not interesting.
3. The way the story was told seemed like someone was just telling their life story or something. Sure, it's different, but it's not exactly interesting.
4. I really had no idea what the second part had to do with the story. One shouldn't be confused through thirty minutes of an hour-and-a-half long movie.
So in conclusion, it's been one week since I watched the movie and I really can't remember anything about it other than the impressions that it wasn't that great. Like I said, I can't even remember a single character's name.

I had watched Toaru Majutsu no Index and loved it. So I thought I would give this a try. What did I get? Nothing but retarded storylines and moeblobbery whenever the creator felt like it.
I will try to keep this as spoiler-free as possible, but beware regardless.
There was nothing wrong with the art/sound quality, they were the same as in Index. However, the storylines were much less enjoyable and...Kuroko was prevalent.
Kuroko's main purpose seems to be just the moe loli lesbian. Her shrill voice coupled with her annoying actions make her an extremely bad character. She's not as annoying when she's being useful, but
...
as most of the scenes in Failgun seem to be just the characters messing around, the bad highly outweighs the good.
Since I could go on for pages about how much I hate Kuroko, the only reason I didn't rate this a 1 in character is because she's the only horrible one. Even though Mikoto is a tsundere (the bane of my existence), she's actually not too bad, at least compared to other characters I have seen (Taiga, Louise) from other anime (Toradora, Zero no Tsukaima). Uiharu is an airhead (which do annoy me from time to time) and I actually grew to like Saten after a while.
The story arcs were awful. At first, it was trying to be cute and funny, but after a while it started to get "serious." I put it in quotes because it was all extremely lame and unbelievable. And here is where the minor spoiler comes in. The end of the first "serious" arc completely spat in the face of science by playing binaural beats through speakers, when they actually require the sound to be played through stereo headphones to the recipient in order to work at all. And this is what resolved everything. And this really should stay true to some kind of science, this anime even has science in the title!
In conclusion, if you truly appreciate Index and science, stay very far away from this side story. It's not worth watching even one episode.

Okay, so this is my first review, so bear with me.
I hear/see a lot of people bashing this season for Endless Eight. Let me just get this straight: I loved Endless Eight, and would watch it again. This is my favourite series of all time, and I was not at all disappointed by this season.
Overall comments:
Kyoto Animation must have forgotten that they weren't drawing K-On. Mikuru's and Haruhi's faces looked like Yui's sometimes and Koizumi's face almost always looked like Mio's. That's the only complaint I have. As for the theme music, I liked Bōken Desho Desho (the first season's opening) better, but Super
...
Driver was still good. As for the endings, I personally liked Tomare better than Hare Hare Yukai.
Arc 1: Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody (episode 1)
This was very close to its light novel counterpart (The Boredom of Haruhi Suzumiya, chapter 2). No other comments.
Arc 2: Endless Eight (episodes 2-9)
I would not know how close this is to its light novel counterpart (The Rampage of Haruhi Suzumiya, chapter 1). This is the arc that everybody hates since it consists of a time loop and spans eight episodes of very similar material. However, there are minute differences that keep you guessing. The arc seems mostly like a mystery, where you have to guess at the cause. Though I haven't read this arc in the novels yet, I do know that it didn't have nearly as much of an impact in the manga, and I believe that I would like the anime version of this arc the most, even over the novel version. Kyoto Animation did a fantastic job on this arc, and was probably my favourite in the season.
Arc 3: The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya (episodes 10-14)
This is extremely accurate to the novel of the same name. Very well executed, mice effects. Very enjoyable.
Overall, I very much enjoyed this season. I liked it almost as much as the first season, and it makes me sad to see so many people hate it just because they can't appreciate Endless Eight.
