Spoilers(you have been warned).Tokyo ghoul:re started off slow and honestly not that great in my opinion.I didnt like Haise(kaneki) and the quinx and the rest of the characters seemed lackluster but as a tokyo ghoul fan of the previous series i kept reading.
With the introduction of familar characters like touka and nishio the series started to get better not to mention the flashbacks of kaneki we see in haise mind,add to that the revealation of Takizawa working for aogiri as one eyed ghoul was a superb twist and added flair to the story.

Tsukiyama Family Extermination Operation arc.This Arc single handedly made me forget all the flaws the series had.There so many good badass moments like Kanekis Awakening(which finally happened),Sad moments such as Shirazus death who became one of my favourite characters later on.
And finally not to mention the other crazy revelations after this arc just kept adding hype and sense into the story.
So heres my final verdict:
Tokyo ghoul:re starts off bad but i advise you to keep on reading because once you have completed a cartain arc the story keeps throwing reveals,and plot twists and hype moments every single chapter and whats great about them is that they are completely related to the previous series and make complete sense.So if you have read tokyo ghoul Then i HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES AS WELL.It is an absolute masterpiece that i am willing to call it the fullmetal alchemist:brotherhood of manga:)
