To be honestly, I enjoyed this a lot more than it is objectively good. I have a soft spot for gruff males in anime and Zouroku was by far the best part. Unfortunately, he didn't appear nearly frequently enough and his development ended in the first third of the series. Most of the show is about Sana and her cuteness which admitted gets less annoying as the show progresses.

There honestly wasn't much very interesting about this series. I haven't read the manga, but the whole thing just comes off as sloppily structured. There isn't even a definitive main character. You'd think it'd be Azi, but the show spends an abnormal amount of time focusing on a new character, Lefiya and her fangirl crushing on Azi. Lefiya is an incompetent mage who is very cutesy and very quickly got annoying for me. For being such a huge focus, she rarely drove the plot of mainly just tagged along with the team, needing to be saved constantly.

For a fan of the series, this is pretty much like the manga. As far as I remember the only thing they added was an extra shot of the Undertaker smirking a bit near the beginning. I don't really recommend a newcomer to start with this movie, not just because of the on-going story, but because this movie is essentially only set up for future arcs.

Nothing is really accomplished in this arc alone, which doesn't make the story bad, but all the other arcs in the manga have a clear beginning, middle and end. Something is always accomplished and characters are developed.
