Naruto Shippuuden. One of the most popular anime series to ever be created. But did you see what I said? I said popular. Not best, not deepest, and not the saddest. But it is far from being, and I mean far, a bad anime. I came on to MAL completely surprised when I saw that it was rated #510, and even more so that Naruto was #800 something. I sat and thought "why in the world is it rated so low?". I looked around on MAL for a little while, and I figured out that there are a couple reasons it is so bagged on.
...
1. Filler. People decide that because Naruto has more filler than the other "Big 3" that it has a horrible plot and deserves a 5 for a score. To you people that do that, you should be ashamed. Where do you get off rating a wonderful anime like this one, a 5 because you think there are too many fillers? It's just stupid, honestly. 2. People like to throw rocks at things that shine. I've talked to people who, no joke here, rate low because it is popular. That isn't as common here, but I still see it. and 3. People come in to Naruto already thinking they're going to hate it. News flash, if you come in like that, you come in looking for flaws. And trust me, you will find flaws, Naruto is definitely not perfect. Although, those flaws don't merit this anime the score it has here.
That's all I wanted to say. I didn't come here to talk up Naruto, I came to defend it. And sure, you can call me a fanboy. You'd be right, but I'm not so "fanboyish" to let it get in the way of my judgment.
I've decided that I wont make this into a "real" review because I'm satisfied with the other reviews. I just really wanted to get that off my chest.

"Complex" is one of the words you could say to describe 'Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere'.
I found my self going back in an episode to try and understand what exactly was going the freak on. This adventure was full of "wait what's?" and "hold on what did he/she say's?" And that kinda hurt the enjoyment of it all.
Story - 9
The story was very well done from my point of view. The complexity of it all just astounded me. Although it needed more episodes in my opinion so that it could explain everything a little more clearly and slowly. Maybe I'm just a simpleton who

doesn't catch on fast enough. But it did made it interesting and fast-paced. You have all of these multiple countries and they consider how one decision will affect everybody else. They have alot of characters. And couple of different storylines rolled up into one. Some of the characters even look the same(this is what really got me confused). But I liked how all of the storylines seemed to tie together. It was all new and nothing seemed cliched. They way they attack and the way they do things all seemed new to me. Which I liked.
Art - 10
I thought the art looked good. Everything look beautiful and crisp. The backgrounds were nice and all the characters looked really good.
Sound - 8
The OP was good and I enjoyed it. It was catchy and had a nice beat to it. The ED was nothing speacial but was still good. The backgroud music to me was non-exsistent. I never once noticed it. So I thought that it kinda lacked in that department. Although 'Horizon's' singing made my day. I love every bit of that song.
Characters - 8
These were new types of characters to me. And trust that doesn't happen to often. After seeing plenty of anime you kinda feel that you'll never meet a character that doesn't remind you of another. And I can honestly say Aoi Tori (the hero of our story) reminds me of no one. He's just a likeable, perverted, boob groping, hilarious, naked dancing, erotic game playing boy that makes you smile everytime you see him. But when you mention 'Horizon' he seems to beome serious without even changing that goofy smile on his face that I love so much. 'Horizon' (the heroine of our story) is a very quiet person. She's not shy or anything she just doen't talk much. Mainly because of the fact that......... lets just say, she's a 'robot' but at the same time she not, for the sake of our storyline. All of the other characters are fun and entertaining. There is no character in this anime that I could say I dislike.
Enjoyment - 8
I enjoyed 'Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere' quie a bit. And feel a stong urge to rewatch it. It probably should have gotten a 9 or 10 but I was confused at so many parts that I couldn't. If it had been a 26 episode season I think this would have been a much better anime.
But hay, thats just me. Watch it for yourself, I promise you'll enjoy.

Shuffle was an anime that changed the way I look at anime forever.
Shuffle was the 4th anime I had ever seen(school days being first, boy was that a mistake, and a few really ecchi ones). I came in looking only at the romance factor and the 18 and over rating. What I got on the other hand was an anime that would forever live in my "Hall of Fame" Animes so to speak.
Story - 10
The story was unexpected, and that I believe made it even more magnificent. Prior to this I had seen titles like Omamori Himari, Kiss X Sis, and HOTD. They were

animes that didn't lack a story line, but didn't have a suprising or "hanging-on-the-edge-of-your-seat" story line that Shuffle! has. It made me realize that anime isnt just big boobs and panty shots. I also like the fact that its all HUMAN emotions. The drama, the romance, the joy that they all experience is all realistic and I could easily see it happening in real life(except the whole angel demon thing). I also re-watch it and LOVE the fact that he choses a girl in the end. No the crap in every other harem in the world where he decides that he'll just love all of them equally.
Art - 10
I am no art expert, but I thought it was done really well. The characters were well done and are all rather unique. The backgrounds were well done and everything looked crisp. Its exactly what I look for in "good art" in an anime.
Sound - 10
Once agian I am no expert. But I found myself listening to the OP and ED when the episode began and ended. By about episode 14 I had most of the OP memorized and decided that I had to have it on my iPod. I listen to it to this day(I watched this about 1 ago ago).
Characters - 10
The characters were by far my favorite part of this anime. Just about everyone had an amazing backstory. They were all compelling and a couple of them brought tears to my eyes. The main character is your run-of-the-mill super nice guy who helps everyone and is to dense to realize six beautiful girls love him. But theres something about him that makes him different, maybe the way he talks or the way he does thing makes me like him even more. All the other characters seem to be once agian your overused and cliched(tsundre, loli, childhood friend, shy girl, energetic)characters. But they put a twist on all of them. And by twisting these cliched personalities, you get somthing unquie. Something that makes you want to know more about them and why they ae like that, all of which are answered.
Enjoyment - 10
I enjoyed this anime immensley. It brought joy, saddness, and the wonder if there would be something as great as what I had just watched. It opened my eyes to a new horizen of anime. No longer stuck in the "if its ot ecchi, its not good" phase I went through.
I reccomend to anyone, no matter what genre your into.
Team Sia for life!
