I deeply regret not watching this anime earlier. This is my first review, so please bear with me as I try to sort out my thoughts.
Nodame Cantabile is a very enjoyable and humourous slice of life anime. I highly recommend it to anyone who has an interest in classical music and piano. It is inspiring and motivational, showing that hard work can bring you anywhere.
The soundtrack in this anime is excellent. It is a case where I find the adaptation is actually better than the manga simply because the manga lacks music. The soundtrack really brings the entire anime to life if you are

a fan of classical music. For me, the animation was not the best (because it was made in 2007), but the backgrounds and character designs were well done. The characters are lovable and quirky. The main characters Chiaki and Nodame adventure through hardships and roller-coasters of laughs, joy, as well as sorrow and tears. It is a beautiful anime with so much emotion. I find myself laughing one moment and then in tears the next.
I was drawn to this series because I love music and have been learning piano for years. I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome and truly adore this series. What I love about Nodame Cantabile is how relatable it is from a music student's perspective. I feel like I really understand the characters and their feelings throughout the show.
I know this anime is old, but if you haven't seen it yet, please give it a try!
