...then you might like Shinsekai yori add

We see the heroine grow up in both anime as both anime use time skips. Similar treatment as we discover the world with the naive eyes of a kid, a fantasy world that seems beautiful at a first glance but which hides its" cruelty (Shinsekai Yori however is way darker).

If you liked Kaze no Tani no Nausicaä add

...then you might like Kemono no Souja Erin add

Simple anime that yet will treat of mature theme (war, animal abuse etc...) better than many mature that try to act as if. Erin looked like Nausicaa a lot after she grew up. Beautiful visual in both anime, no need to present Miyazaki, as for Kemono Souja Erin, the art somewhat looks like a tale and used a lot of pastel.

...then you might like Nodame Cantabile add

Similar setup as both Josei are slice of life that shows young adults instead of high schoolers, both deals with music, especially for Nodame Cantabile. Nana Komatsu is somewhat similar to Nodame as they are great leads that are optimistic and exceed to share their (usually joyful moods) to the spectator. Both are pretty good comedy at the beginning Nana however has a drastic shift in the middle that turn it into a drama.

If you liked Kara no Kyoukai Movie 1: Fukan Fuukei add

...then you might like Denpa-teki na Kanojo add

Have a sinister similar atmosphere and a thriller aspect as in both case the main duo has to face some murder cases. Also show the psychology of some broken characters. Although I believe that Kara no Kyoukai is better due to better art, music and allows much more character depth due to its 7 movies length.

...then you might like Katanagatari add

Similar in the fact there are not that much action anime but atmospheric anime of a medieval japanese world with a bit fantasy. The visual are really in good in the both anime, each in their own way and reinforce the poesy of the anime and the bond between the 2 main characters while different are really enjoyable to watch.

Slice of Life with a somewhat different humour and character set from the other romcoms, overall the same refreshing and positive ambiance and no/few romance in both.

If you liked Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu add

...then you might like Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch add

Political plots, desire of power and revenge, clash of 2 ideals, brilliant military commanders, epic battles, the shape of the 2 animes looks quite similar. The main difference is that Code Geass reaches the peak of "popcorn" animes (it is not a reproach) whilst LoGH has way more depth, it is a rewriting of History in the space opera genre.

...then you might like Katanagatari add

Both have atypical arts are based upon short stories. In both case the narration or the writing of the story are quite similar since they are relying a lot on banter. Katanagatari is a bit more accessible because it contains more action scenes and a bit less dialogues.
