5 - There was something you enjoyed. Still pretty forgettable, but not a waste of time.
So, I'm not a fan at all of stan culture, but luckily the characters in this anime make it bearable and not in-your-face-annoying like most IRL stans/wotas. So that's a positive. I actually enjoyed watching the slice of life of these wotas, and I even added Eripiyo to my favorites list because I adore her passionate love for her fave.
However, this gave me a feeling of being a comedic SOL, and honestly the comedy falls flat. I think it's just more so endearing how much the wotas care about their
...
fave with Eripiyo in particular. She really does steal the show with her incredibly passionate personality. She's awesome, and she is the source of 100% of the comedy. Unfortunately, that is a terrible recipe for an any medium attempting humor.
The idol group is average, and they have their problems. Actually, they seem like a very realistic idol group. The stuff they go through does seem like something that a real idol group would go through, so I do admire that. But they're just average all around.
Honestly, not much stands out about this show aside from Eripiyo. The originality of this anime is also a plus, as I don't believe there are many anime based off of stan culture.

5 - There was something you enjoyed. Still a bit forgettable, but not a waste of time.
So, this honestly is a decent comedy with some educational references at times. The premise of the story is fine, and honestly... Himuro Ayame might be one of the cutest 2D girls I've ever seen, and I'm not a "2D girl" type of guy at all. But the way her pony tails wags in excitement for her love interest is great.
But anywaaaayyys, the comedy is fine but it never really made me chuckle or laugh. We all know that the essence of a comedy is laughter, and if it
...
can't evoke that then it isn't very good. That's the main problem for this anime. The jokes aren't great, and the situations aren't really funny. Just somewhat interesting.
However, the plot is still somewhat interesting, and it is nice seeing that there is some depth to the story. That definitely helps this from being a 4 or lower. Ultimately, the conclusion of this anime was worthy of a head nod in approval. The final episode was solid, and it was enjoyment. It was light harded, and it felt justified watching the entirety the anime.
I did not come out of this anime feeling like I wasted my time. It's a rom-com anime that doesn't have much of the com, but the plot isn't awful so it passes.
This would probably be best watched in English dubbed as background noise. Maybe something you put on when trying to fall asleep if you're that type of person. I definitely wouldn't recommend, but I also wouldn't be like, "hey, don't watch this anime!" It's a nice in-between of huge indifference.

4 - You watched this because you had hope, but ultimately left in disappointment. Maybe the story had promise or the characters were likable, but something kept you along to watch it.
I really do feel a bit disrespected about this anime. It's just flat out dumb. So why is it dumb? I can't just say dumb without explaining it. So instead, I'll explain what isn't dumb about it.
The concept is not dumb. It's another anime in which a regular person gets stuck inside a game where it is do or die. Evil players like killing others. Main character doesn't like that. Been there, done that.
...
Nothing wrong with that.
However, the conflict in this anime is just so overdone. The fights are just- exhausting. The main character has this power... which is pretty cool. But the way he is treated makes it seem like he has the best power of them all when in reality a bunch of the people he ended up encountering have better powers.
The fights just don't make sense, and are lazy. There so much fodder. There's so much Stars Wars storm trooper bullets. How are some of these people even alive? I won't say all the battles were bad. There was ONE good battle.
It's just- it's not something I really enjoyed. My suspense of disbelief was not there. The entire time I was thinking, "really?"
I'm fine with unrealistic anime, but when it just becomes disrespectful to the viewer then that's when I check out. The main character doesn't even have the best power in the game! How am I supposed to believe he is able to beat all these people when I don't believe in his power.
I can't even just sit back and enjoy the fights. That's the thing that hurts the anime. If I was able to sit back, and be like, "HEY, this is fun!" then this would be a 5 possibly. But I did not enjoy the fights, and I do think the fights are the biggest draw to this anime. Yet it didn't draw me in.
I cant see myself recommending this to anyone to watch. I'm not sure there is anything positive to this. I watched this through because I thought the story was a little interesting, and wanted to see the conclusion. It kept me along that far, but even the conclusion was disappointing. The sad part is that this looks like it may have a sequel, and all I have to say is:
Why?

5 - There was something you enjoyed. Still a bit forgettable, but not a waste of time.
It's a cute dog anime with ok comedy in it. Pretty much it? The drawback on this is that the jokes weren't great. I don't remember one time I really laughed. It's adorable, and nice to watch.
But it's not hillarious, and for a comedy anime that really hurts. Firstly, it's hard for a comedy anime to be great in my opinion. The jokes and situations have to be really out there- especially in a 12 episode series. It has to come out hitting from episode 1, and it doesn't.
I
...
do enjoy and appreciate the idea behind this anime. It's interesting. It's easy to explain. And man, the ED to this anime is AMAZING. It's so cute watching the real life version of the anime dogs just playing around, running.
But that's the extent to this anime- it's cute. That's about it. I can't really see in which situation I'd want to watch this. Lazy sunday? It would have to be dubbed for me to watch on a lazy Sunday. Probably background anime while I'm doing something else such as gaming or scrolling through social media.
This anime was ok. I don't regret watching it. Just don't see myself thinking back on this.

7* - This is good. It can be worth a 2nd watch, but doesn't transcend its season. However, still can be memorable.
Low-7 - On the edge of "would I really watch this a 2nd time?" and "Yeah, I could see myself watching a 2nd time."
I should have reviewed this immediately after I finished watching this, so it'd be fresh in my mind but I will say this anime is deserving of a 2nd watch if necessary. Simply put, don't judge a book by its cover (or an anime by its first 3 episodes)
I thought this was going to be a lame anime with a half
...
decent story. Ended up being an inspiring anime with a decent story. That's a big difference. First off, nothing about this anime is lame. It is truly inspiring watching three, possibly 4, of the characters chase their dreams despite their circumstances.
Each of these characters seem realistic in a way, and it really is true joy watching each character try to break through an unfair barrier places in front of them preventing them to reach their dream. This is straight up the message to this anime, and every great anime has a message. This one is as obvious and cliché as possible: Don't give up on your dreams. I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff, I really am. I think most of us are. Most of us are try to be optimistic even when we have negative thoughts. This anime helps motivate people. It really does.
I really thought this was going to be lame simply because the main character seemed like a crying dweeb, and it's a anime about runway models and fashion design! I have zero interest in any of that, so this show was already at a disadvantage with me. Yet somehow, it convinced me to care about it. At least for its 12 episodes. As of now, I still have no interest in fashion design or runway modeling. That's how capturing this anime was to me, to the fact that it made me invested in the story.
The final three episodes were great. Episode 10 got me in my feels. You know it's good when it gets you in your feels.
So why is this a low tier 7? Simply because this anime just hits the bare minimum of what a great anime is. The story doesn't push the envelope. The story is fine, it really is. But it didn't capture me full attention until mid-season. That's not good. It's not like this is a long anime either. Long anime have the excuse for a slow build, but this is only 12 episodes. Can't take a 3rd or a 4th of a season go by with me just thinking- eh.
Art and animation is pretty average. That does hurt, but I can't blame it too much. It's just another anime. I don't expect something beautiful. Not many anime can do that, but it being so average looking doesn't help. Aside from the character designs I wouldn't be able to really distinguish this from any other thing. Maybe that's unfair since I'm not a great judge at art and animation, but that's just me.
Lastly, I don't believe there's enough inspiring or deep moments in this anime. Not many "wow, this was sweet or touching." Yes, it does have them. Not saying it doesn't. And the times it does have them- they are good. Legit good. Episode 10 sticks out in particular near the end. The relationship the main character has with his family is truly special.
I would recommend this anime to anyone who enjoys runway modeling or fashion design. This is worth a weekend binge. This is worth a weekday watch with a friend or partner if you don't have anything else better to do.
It's a low tier 7. Well deserved. Runway de waratte did make me smile.

5 - There was something you enjoyed. Still a bit forgettable, but not a waste of time.
So this is a 5, but a good 5. Simply put, I'm not too much of a fan of Idol stuff. Even Zombieland Saga barely got a 7 for me, and I'd imagine that's a top tier Idol anime- although I don't know for sure because I haven't watched more than like 3.
Tips and guidelines says don't include story summaries, but it is important to point out the key point of this idol anime. It doesn't focus at all on the dancing or singing. Instead it focuses on
...
the life of someone who is an idol, and that if very interesting. It is interesting seeing the things an idol group me go through on a day to day basis on how to be successful. Being told what to do and to follow directions.
The other key point is that almost each episode is catered to a member's pass. Jun having the best episode and story in episode 7, though none of the others really compare to her. Her episode was truly great. It definitely stood out, and I do think it was a turning point to the anime as the story did get somewhat better. The final two episodes were also fine.
It just doesn't really stand it. It does feel a bit stale, certainly doesnt make me want to seek out the real idol group. It could have done a better job building the relationship between the members, their hardships, and how they were overcame.
I enjoyed this because it gave a perspective to idols I may have never cared for. The background stuff that the public doesn't always see. There's no real drama, but just a certain members difficulty in life and trying to be a better person. Being an idol is not easy, and this anime showcases that.
However, like I said before, it doesnt make me want to watch it again. I'm good on one watch, and sometimes I flat out wasnt even paying attention. I would not recommended this for a weekend binge unless you are a fan of 22/7 or idol groups in general.

6 - I liked it. Didn't regret watching, but probably wouldn't watch a 2nd time if nostalgia bias didn't exist. Probably had a good message, was a guilty pleasure, or the story was solid.
This anime has the real potential to being a long running anime. All it really needs is a cute spirit mascot to sell merch. This is legit. However, it's only 12 episodes with possibly no anime sequel. Not that it's bad that it is only 12 episodes. But it does have the ability to become a 50+ episode long anime if the OP/ED was better, and there was a cute mascot to
...
put into the show.
So the story doesn't necessarily stand out. The setting is fine, and the supernatural aspect of it isn't bad. It's a reverse mystery show where the mystery is already solved, but the protagonist have to figure out a way end said mystery. The final stretch of this show consisted of an interesting way to handle the big problem.
The smarts of the MC really showed, but she's simply fine as a main character. She's pouty and jealous which is fine. I'm not the type to hate "annoying" characters so long as they're not actively doing things to make things difficult for the reason. Her love interest is more of a protector than a love interest which is a nice spin to it as well.
It's mystery anime set up in a supernatural world in which there is some romance aspects. That's fine, and in a 12 episode anime it felt ok. In the end it did make me think this could be a successful anime. Not anything which would be crazy popular in Japan, but something that could gain a cult following.
There isn't much bad to say about it. The animation and art are normal. It's all generic. Some of the designs are fine, and the girls who are supposed to be "pretty" legit do look pretty! Their faces, hair, and style does express, "hey, that 2D girl is good looking."
I'm not sure what exactly would done to be able to push this to a 7, which to me means it is rewatchable and memorable. The 2nd half of this anime was definitely a well done arc while the 1st half was a decent introduction to the world. I think I would recommend this to someone to binge over a weekend if their tastes were for mystery anime.
The story here was indeed solid, and some touch ups to this story could have pushed it to a 7. Maybe a 24 episode anime with a cute anime, and a solid and heartfelt conclusion. This season felt more like a "beginning to a story." I'd look forward to a second season if they decided to finish the story. Obviously there is an on-going manga, so the rest of the story is there. Just not in anime form.

5 - There was something you enjoyed. Still a bit forgettable, but not a waste of time.
This is honestly between a 5 or a 6, so Ill officially say 5.5
The story is sort of decent, but at times I just get bored. It's a comedy show, but it didn't really make me laugh too much. Somethings made me crack a smile, but I definitely wasn't laughing. There weren't any jokes that were good. It's just kind of eh.
The characters are pretty cool though, yeah. I'll admit that. Each person has some quirkiness. I think the dynamic between the three main characters is pretty funny.
...
It may have not directed in laughs, but the idea of it IS a solid one. Their interactions are solid.
I think this would probably do better as a manga. If you're into ridiculous situations where the main character is just flustered by his friends then the manga would likely be fine. I will say that it seems like this anime doesn't have an ending at all.
This review by me is really uninspired, but only because there is very little to say about this. It's just really average. Nothing particulary stands out, so its hard to talk bad about it, but also hard to talk good about it. If I'd had to put it short.
-Comedy is very lacking
-But the characters are decent.
-And the idea isn't bad.
-Anime format probably doesn't help.

This a straight up 4... Maybe a 3. But like. It's hard to really say anything that I liked about this anime that really stood out. And there's going to be a second season too? I'm not going to do a review where I bash the anime with a bunch of hate and complaining, but it is hard to leave any nice comments.
The story is just so bland. Okay, an isekai. The MC is
...
OP. But what's the goal? Absolutely nothing. There is no end goal. Hopefully in the 2nd season the story takes a wild turn, and sets up some type of climatic finish but this has no story so far. And that's bad.
It's just overly generic. I dont even hate any of the characters or anything. It's just, it feels like a waste of time. The reason I finished this is simply because I want to watch as much anime as I possibly can. This is honestly worth a drop if you're not into that kind of stuff. I'd even recommend not even watching an episode.
I don't think there is anything about this that I will remember. I dont even want to continue this review anymore. How is this a 7.whatever on MAL???

6 - I liked it. Didn't regret watching, but probably wouldn't watch a 2nd time if nostalgia bias didn't exist. Probably had a good message, was a guilty pleasure, or the story was solid.
Alright, so forget what anybody else is saying. This anime isn't comedic gold, but dang it it's comedic bronze. Each and every single character is funny in their own special way. They're not always making me laugh, but they do little things that show their personality that just cracks me up.
And that's important. A comedy show should be able to make you laugh once or twice. Which this does. Not only
...
that, at least once each episode I laughed out loud because of just how dumb (in a good way) some things were.
Jin is just a funny asshole! He really is. He's sort of like Yusuke from Yu Yu Hakusho. They're basically selfish and self centered, AND unnecessarily mean, but man do they make you laugh by just how open they are about it. And despite there being multiple female characters, this isn't a weird harem either! None of it is weird. Sure, there's fan service sometimes but not very often. Not to the point where it becomes weird. And that's good.
I really don't think I can talk too much about this anime. The story is decent and simple: It's a group of friends that are different species in school, and they get into random scenarios. Episodes are sometimes based on a certain animal's dilemma. A copy and pasted structure for any SOL, so it's nothing special. The story is decent as really only three characters have any overarching true goals (Lion, Wolf, Human) but it keeps the story going either way.
I honestly don't what it'd take for me to consider taking this anime up to a 7- which mean's that I'd rewatch it, but I think anyone should really just be able to binge watch this in a single weekend and come out with a smile. Plus, sometimes you learn about different kind of animals! It's more of a one time thing for me.
I didn't find anything annoying about this anime. Art and animation are ok. Voice acting is solid for Japanese dub. It's just a fine anime really. If you're bored, want to watch something funny, and are interested in school setting anime then you should probably watch the first few episodes.
