wow, another pokemon movie review. sixth in the series, jirachi wishmaker is one i remember from my childhood quite well and is the first one to feature the hero group from pokemon advanced. though a little on the random side from the series, the story does tie in somewhat from the reference to team magma and groudon. jirachi is a cute little pokemon and it's ability did come into play so i can see how it fits. it seems a bit simple, like there should have been some more there, but it's nothing that makes the movie unwatchable. for a side story like movie, i
...
found it to be enjoyable and cute at times. the art, not much can really be said in that other than it's traditional pokemon. i feel like so far, that hasn't changed for any of the movies but that's personally a plus. the music was pretty good, though previous movies had better. all the original voice actors were there and that, in my book, keeps it relevant and classic. i enjoyed the characters well enough, jirachi was a cutie(despite HIM sounding a lot like a SHE but that's okay), and so on. this is a case however when the antagonist sees the light and error of what he did which was a bit different. normally they are defeated or something(not like with mewtwo in previous movies who had the same thing happen) but not this time. overall, it wasn't a bad movie and i would watch it again if i had the chance to though i admit, it isn't as good as the previous ones. it was simply and only "good"

woot, another pokemon movie! fifth in the series, pokemon heroes features two of my favorite legendary pokemon: latios and latias! well to start off, i sorta liked the story in that it centers around the history of just one city. it isn't jumping all over the place or threatening the world, just one city. the whole back story of how the city was once saved and how it effects the present tied the storyline together. other than that, it is classic pokemon. ash and his friend trying to save the city along side the two eon pokemon. i found some good use of pokemon but
...
there wasn't really any full out battles in this movie for once. that's okay though, can't repeat the same thing over and over again right? there was a small one at the beginning but no large scale stuff. the animation was pretty good. i liked how they tried to give the city a sort of 3d effect like we are actually there in the movie. that happens at several points but at other times, it was traditional styled art. i loved all the voice actors being original which is always great for a movie based off a series. i liked the music as well, it seemed well placed and i loved the original theme at the beginning of the movie. all the characters were awesome as well. the original hero group from the first series is back with the addition of a few new ones. potentially the cutest character personality wise was latias with how much she seemed to like ash from the very start. overall, this was a pretty good movie that i would watch again given the chance. anyone that enjoyed the first four would find this worth checking out in my opinion. :D

the third pokemon movie, spell of the unknown~ just wow. i must have watched this sometime in the past as a child because i feel like i've seen it before but it was so long ago i couldn't remember what happened. here i am again to review yet another pokemon movie. the movie had this sort of lonely sad aura about it for most of the time. mostly because of one of the main characters molly and what she had to deal with throughout and before the movie. so far through all the movies i've watched, the sense of friendship, determination, and believing in what
...
you love was even stronger in this movie. the use of entei, the legendary fire beast pokemon, made it all the more epic and powerful. the pokemon battles are hot and so are the emotions. overall, this movie had me on the edge of my seat and eager to see what would come next. this is thus far, one of my favorites in the pokemon movie series. the art in this case was just as classic and beautiful as the previous movies and looked great in my eyes. the only thing i found a little odd was the unknown animation. it seemed like they were a little too 3d to fit the rest of the movie. i didn't mind too much and that was only at a few small points in the movie. sound effects were awesome. the music was great. it was intense and fit perfectly to the scenes and mood of the point it played. all the voice actors are present from the original english dub, making it nostalgic to the previous movies and series. i really liked the choice of entei's voice of dan green, he just seemed to fit the part and made entei sound epic. all the characters therefore are powerful and tie greatly into the pokemon series. the use of a legendary pokemon in this case was amazing. it was great to see another classic legendary pokemon play a major role in a movie. overall, i really enjoyed this movie for it's epic points and fire hot pokemon battles. so far, this is one of the best pokemon movies in the series and i would suggest it to pokemon fans :D

LOL that was my first response whenever i started watching this. here i thought i was going to be watching the third pokemon movie and i got this twenty minute short all about pikachu and the other pokemon around the city they were visiting. i found the story of friendship and fun to be cute, heartwarming, and funny. not much else can really be said about it, this short side story is just cuteness of the pokemon series. it is one that features itself around the pokemon this time, not with battles and trainers. classic pokemon art, narration, voice acting all keep it original and
...
enjoyable for fans of the series in the past. overall, this is not something to fast forward through when watching the third movie. take the time to watch it and laugh a little, enjoy it! i know this is a rather short review but honestly, not much can be said about this a twenty minute short other than it is pure fun and cute. i think anyone who is a fan of the pokemon series will find this to be enjoyable and worth watching :)

time for another review ^.^ this time it's the first pokemon movie which, despite being a huge pokemon fan, i didn't watch until many years after it came out. (i was only four when it came out and i didn't start watching pokemon till later on) none the less, here i am fresh after watching it again :D without further ado, onto the review!
we start start out with what appears to be a beautiful scene with the rarest of all pokemon, mew, right in front of our face. everything seems peaceful enough until it turns much darker and serious which is where we meet mewtwo
...
who would become the antagonist of the movie. we are exposed the rage felt by mewtwo at the humans who had created him. this also sends a message to us in how corrupt and terrible intentions can become. this is the vibe throughout the whole movie and drives mewtwo in his quest to "cleanse" the world of corrupt humans and their pokemon "slaves." of course, there is also the traditional pokemon battle in the beginning as well to bring in a sense of nostalgia as a fan. fighting through the odds, our hero group of ash, misty, brock, and pikachu reach the point where they meet mewtwo and find out his dark plans. they and three other trainers all defy him, believing that pokemon and they are one as friends. when all else fails, ash is the one who ends up going after the pokemon in order to save them. all this goes on while one of the largest scale pokemon vs pokemon battles are being fought. love and determination always overcomes the odds and this was no exception. it all has the message that fighting is wrong and in the grand plan that it isn't where you come from that dictates who you are, but what you do with your life. overall, it has a very dark serious message at first but then all is brought into light with an ending satisfying for pokemon. the art, well not much can be said about that other than it is traditional pokemon styled. nothing fancy or different, it's just pokemon and it's great for this movie. as far as voice acting and music, i watched the english dubbed version just like i did when i watched the show so i was satisfied when all the voices of my favorite characters were there. the music too was traditional pokemon that i enjoyed with a few of its own songs put in that seemed to fit the scenes and mood of what was happening at that time. characters of course were all the original heros with a few new ones such as mewtwo and mew. the trainers there along side ash also were traditional pokemon and fit well with the story. not much can be said on that since they all are so old school pokemon which makes it amazing. overall, i really enjoyed it in multiple ways. i loved the ending and epic points of this movie. it was such old school pokemon that i enjoyed from my days in watching the show. i would suggest this movie to any pokemon fan out there to check it out :D

well, it's time for another review by NightmareRequiemWolf ^^ to think i'd find another anime based off a game that i really enjoy and play quite a good bit. so how does it fare? well, in the story department, i thought it was pretty good. sure it may be a bit difficult to get a story out of an online multi-player game but i liked the actually placing us in the world of ragnarok. when you play the game, it's your character but you are always "outside" in a manner. not really there; however, this allows us to see how life may have been for
...
a person inside the game world. it wasn't fully based on the game which has points of story but had a creative twist to it. not only the fighting adventure of ragnarok, but personal conflicts and developed relationships throughout. as for the art, i believe that was done very well too. to take the scenes from the games such as cities and surrounding fields can sometimes be hard to recreate. all the city scenes were attractive and reminded me of the real setting inside the game which i like. the only downfall i saw was the attack animations, which were overused and didn't change. i can understand it was the same attack but there was no need to use them so much. music wise, i loved the opening theme "we are the stars." the opening scenes might have been a little choppy at the beginning though as the song goes on, it gets more fluent and blends together. maybe that is an art thing but i mean how it flows with the music. i liked the ending song as well and it compliments the opening in design and sound. the music during the actual show matched the theme and battles were epic. that also goes for the sound effects during attacks and in game monsters. i'd have to say the greatest downfall i found in this anime was the characters. i did find them to be cute and the classes of ragnarok were pulled through pretty well to make a good mix. i did however find myself becoming annoyed with them at times for their actions. i know part of the story meant going through a stage of "darkness" and selfishness but i found it to be unattractive and annoying at times. another thing that wasn't perfect were the class abilities themselves. some of them were changed or not even used from the game at all. now, i understand how they may have been trying to be creative, but it is based off a set class of characters. you may have your own option from personal experience or if you've never played at all. i simply think that where some of the attacks done by a character in a certain class is unrecognizable, that ruins it a bit. yuffa's acolyte abilities for one were really down played, the monk character's attack had no recognizable reference to the game, zephyr was WAY too powerful for his high wizard level, and other things like that. i can't say they were horrible though for they all had their own quirks and flaws just like every other character so nothing too bad. overall, it was pretty good for an anime that was based off one of my favorite games. though not perfect, it was an above average recall of the world of ragnarok online. it did take me a while to watch and get through it all, not because it was long, just because i found that sometimes my interest for it sorta died off. while watching it however, it had its moments of epicness, funniness, sadness, and intense moments that i found enjoyable. if you're a fan of ragnarok online, this is something you might want to check out :D

well, i didn't think i was going to be watching the air movie for quite some time but here i am with it completed and writing a review. i loved the anime air so i thought oh what the heck, lets see what the movie was like. so without further adieu, lets get on with the review. ^^
first off the story. overall, it gave me a feeling like it was a condensed, slightly changed version of the anime. it focuses more on misuzu's and kanna's story rather than any of the other characters (the other females like minagi and kano were not even in this
...
movie but for a second which was a bit disappointing but bearable) i liked how kanna's story was revealed along side of misuzu's as a part of her project with animation. though it was different in that misuzu didn't have her dreams, i liked it all the same.it also was different how they went for a type of picture book appearance at times with the still shots used at points. because i am a slight fangirl, i enjoyed the expansion on the yukito/misuzu relationship. i found it to be rather adorable and touching at the same time along with the kanna/ryuuya pairing.though it was different than the show, it still had a light hearted, funny at times, and sad feel to it much like the anime. the art..well that's most likely the thing i didn't like most about this movie. i have seen that the people who did air were not the ones who produced the movie so i can see why it was changed but it was a let down. the art was one of the reasons the anime caught my eye in the first place; it was beautiful and this, though sometimes pretty, couldn't match the anime's beauty. the voice acting was as good as the anime, all the same people from what i can tell and it sounds good (speaking in terms of the english dub that i watched that is) some of the music i could remember from the anime was used here(like the starting song) and was kinda pretty, it did seem to flow like the music from the anime did but still i liked the ost from the anime much more.(though the second ending song was really pretty) the characters did change somewhat from the anime i will say. though holding to their main points, they were slightly changed. haruko, yukito, and ryuuya were the biggest changes in how they spoke and acted. they were all a bit more emotional in my opinion though more with yukito and ryuuya.yukito was also a bit more stand offish in the beginning of the movie than in the anime. other than that, i was able to enjoy them as they were in the anime seeing as misuzu was still pretty much her cute self that i enjoyed. to give a closing in short, for an air fan like myself, i can't say that it wasn't enjoyable. it was carried a bit different than the anime but still, even with no different plot per se, i enjoyed it. i'd say the biggest let down in this movie is the art, which couldn't compare to the anime by a long shot, and the music wasn't quite as good and flowing as the anime. none the less, it is worth watching for any air fan and is entertaining(even i still didn't get a happy ending :[ )

spice and wolf, the anime i've been dying to watch for some time but i didn't know if i was going to like it. the first thing that drew me in was the thought of a wolf but upon starting to watch it, it became much more than that.
well to start off, the anime has a clean story line in the beginning that i found i could understand without too much trouble. as the anime progressed a few episodes, i found that dialogue was a huge part in the understanding department. i know i'm not the first to say this but, if you don't
...
listen to what people are saying, you are going to be lost later on. it isn't really hard to understand per se if you are paying attention there is just a lot of information. listening to it multiple times may be needed to get the full picture but not if you are good at keeping up with speech. no use in explaining what the story is about since that would be spoiling and you have MAL to tell you that so lets not waste time there. the art here was beautiful in my point of view. all the characters were very well designed as was the setting in which we are in. being set in medieval times made it all more beautiful to me. the clothing of the characters, cities, and scenic points are all done well to show off the beauty of the time era the anime is set in. sound, again i watched the english dubbed version and i really enjoyed all the voice acting. holo i thought was done well with her accent, for some reason i found it pretty. music and sound effects were good too, nothing too flashy but it flowed pretty well between scenes and was put in at good points to keep the watcher entertained. characters, haha well i do love them. some may call holo full of herself, which yes i admit she does seem that way sometimes, but more or less she uses her knowledge to help both herself and ones whom ally with her. it also shows off a personality all of her own that i enjoy and hints toward the fact that maybe traveling alone with a man isn't such a bad thing after all. i really enjoyed the anime for its twist of real medieval times life and the fantasy. i was in love with how the setting/time era played into everything and still managing to have fantasy. as i've heard before, this is the only anime that makes economics fun ^.^ you would be wise to check this anime out in my opinion, it is a winner for me.

air..in all truth i didn't know what to think of this anime when i first heard of it. i've seen clips of it used in AMVs, heard people talk about it, and saw it on people's watched list but i never saw it for myself. now that i have, i'm so glad i sat down to watch it.
first off, the story. well at first it was very straight forward and easy to understand with humor and a light hearted feel to it that even made me laugh and smile. it did start to become a bit more complex as it went on where i
...
was a bit confused but after a bit of reading and re watching of it, i got the main idea. the whole main idea does stick through the whole time with some interesting subplots that leaves no character untouched. though a little confusing, it was a good story that could be understood by someone if they really wanted to figure it out. the art in this anime was one of the main reasons at first i wanted to watch it, it was so beautiful~! all the characters had their own designs that i found to be one of the most beautiful designs in anime i've seen yet. the setting too was a beautiful place that sure made me wish i could be there. the sound for this i thought was amazing in the music department, the soundtrack seemed to fit in perfectly with the anime..like they were one in the same, built to flow with each other. not only that, i watched the english bud version and i really liked the voice acting in it, i thought emotion was put very into the characters and matched very well to the personalities to the characters. speaking of characters, i loved them all! such a blend that put different types of people together to show that off. even characters that may seem one way just might have a whole different side you wouldn't see before. overall, i loved the blend of humor and deep emotion this anime put together. even though it was a tragedy, didn't have a happy ending and put me in tears many times, i loved the anime and would highly invite anyone to check it out!

fire on the mystic island, the fourth and last inuyasha movie to date. well, seeing that this one has no reviews on it, i will do the honors of writing it one. as an inuyasha movie, this one had some of the typical characteristic aspects to it as such: fighting demons, romance, jokes/humor, an event that happened in the past brought back, and the group coming to the rescue once again. this one played more on mythology that i found to be enjoyable and expanded on the half demon relationship with the world. it had a suiting story line to carry on like that of
...
the first and second movies. the one big thing i noticed about this movie was how similar the art was to the anime itself. it seems that from the first movie that was different, they slowly made their way back to this point where the fourth one is almost the same but not quite. i found that to be very appealing on the eyes and familiar as an inuyasha fan. the music in this movie was was beautiful and fitting to me. it sounded like something that belonged with an inuyasha movie and was rather beautiful. oh and don't forget that the english voices that gave the characters their personality, despite others ripping on the english dubs, are all back in action. this movie kept my attention with some of the cuter points in it and the back story to it i found enjoyable/fitting of an inuyasha movie. overall, i found it to be a good movie and i would re watch it anytime. i'm just sad that the movies are over now xD i want more!
