Story: 7/10
I'm doing this review out of memory. I wasn't taking notes when I watch anime for reviews like I do now.
Although this anime is about the popular summaries it's more about Teito Klein struggling to trust the world, attempting to honor his past friend and finding himself in the process.
Form of Development/Pace: I started watching this anime at the beginning of 2010. I left the anime and came back again. The beginning episodes are what hooked me in so the pace was just right. After the beginning episodes the pace so slow that if you take a break for it you won't
...
forget important details. I suggest that if viewer doesn't like the first 3-5 episodes just move on because after episode 3 the pace is set to slow.
Side stories/Extra Space: No.
Believable: For the fantasy genre, yes.
Conclusion: There was supposed to be a season 2 for 07- Ghost but that is yet to happen. The conclusion of this season was intriguing and suckered you into wanting to watch the next season.
What kept my interest:
Is Teito eventually having to revenge his friend as well as his kingdom.
I give the story a 7/10, 7 meaning good. Although it kept my interest it was slow. The content in the conclusion of this season I wish it would have come earlier because that would have moved the story along.
Art: 9/10
This art is wonderful, It had all the details I liked about anime in this series. I like the eyes especially. It has 3-D effects, nice sun beams, detailed backgrounds, beautiful skies, the fire and glowing details were nice as well. They also had some pretty boys. ( ^_^ ) The color scheme was splendid, flowed with the anime. I don't remember any episodes were the art team was slacking. I give this 9 out of 10, 9 meaning great.
Sound: 9/10
I watched the english subbed. No annoying voices which is a plus. The beginning song is light rock, I liked it. The beginning song fits the song very well and helps set the scenario. Background music and end theme are fitting. So I rate this sound as 9 out of 10. 9 meaning, great.
Character: 7/10
Each character introduced plays their role in setting and contributing to the plot. The story spent alot of time on developing Teito, which may or may not be a bad thing. Most of the contributing characters are male. So if you are a female who wants to cosplay for this series your options are nuns, mermaid fish lady or an extra.
Enjoyment: 8/10
I enjoyed this anime very much from the action to the comedy. The characters personalities as well as the story help make the anime.
Overall: 8/10
Overall it averages out to 8, which is adequate. 8 would be the highest I would give this anime. Alot of the score has to do with the artwork, sound and my enjoyment which is essential for a good anime, as well as the plot.
Would I recommend to someone else? I would recommend this to someone who enjoys the fantasy genre with some comedy. I would warn them that if they don't enjoy slow paced animes ( Kobato would be an example of the same pace) that they should pass.

Cute animation, cute characters but a cute story that lacks depth.
Story: 7/10
General Scenario:
This anime although cute lacks depth. It's a cliche of the games that Kirino loves so dearly. What kept me interested was wondering how long could either of one them stand being friends before Kyousuke bitterness gets in the way and/or Kirino's confesses the real reason she's into anime and games with incest themes. The plot would introduce something interesting and then not follow up on it then do it again in the next episode. Kirino modeled the story didn't follow up on how that was affecting her anime hobby or how it
...
could have affected her self esteem always expecting to be beautiful. Saori hosted those anime parties how come Kirino didn't go back or Saori mention it? It hinted at Manami liking Kyousuke, how come she didn't pursue him? Kirino had a manga published, they didn't want a second series? Was offered her story to be turned into an anime, did it ever go through? How was it received? Saori was really more than she looked, she didn't want to disclose to her new found friends her other side? Yes, she was anime fan but she was someone else when the glasses off, they could have went into that deeper. It would have been nice to show that Kirino wasn't the only one who didn't fit the physical appearance stereotype of an otaku.
Since it's a cliche and is about an otaku. It does explore the different aspects of the otaku world. Kirino meets other otakus, goes to an convention, participate in the online world of otaku, writes her on stories, frequent the known otaku spot to buy her some content. There also some cosplaying as well. So it didn't neglect the otaku theme of the story for that I will rate the story 7/10 ( 7 meaning good). Although it didn't present any real drama it did n't neglect Kirino embracing and expanding her anime and eroge interests.
Form of Development/Pace: Moved along pretty well however it would leave material they introduced behind. Side stories/Extra Space: No side stories, no fillers. However some of Episode 11 was so lame that it felt like a filler. How is a party 4 people? Please explain this. Believable: Yes. Conclusion: It ended well for what it presented through out the series. It didn't really leave any doors open for a return.
Art: 8/10
The art was wonderful. It had beautiful and very detailed backgrounds, great color scheme that shaped the anime, hair shine eye details, etc. There isn't really anything to complain about the artwork. There wasn't one episode where I felt it was slacking. It flowed with the music as well. I give the artwork an 8, 8 meaning very good.
Sound: 8/10
No annoying voices, all were fitting to the their characters (for future reference I watched the subbed version). The beginning theme song is bouncy and cute. The background music was fitting. This anime had theme songs and I didn't listen to all of them so what I did hear it flowed with the anime. I give the sound an 8, 8 meaning very good.
Character: 6/10
Kyousuke changes for the better. He actually compromises his bitterness to be there for Kirino. Kirino on the other hand is a different story. No significant progress for her. She was nice at Kyousuke at times but was it really to be nice or was it for her not to push him over the edge to where he would retreat to being distant? I give the artwork an 6, 6 meaning fine.
Enjoyment: 8/10
I enjoyed it. It had it's funny moments and I enjoyed watching Kirino embrace her dorky side.
Overall: 7/10
It averages to 7.4 out of 10 so I'm going to drop it down to 7.Although Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai didn't really delve deep into the drama aspect, it displayed an anime fan embracing the otaku world in a funny and enjoyable way.
Would I recommend to someone else?
I would recommend this to someone who is a sucker for cute anime and can handle the awkwardness of Kirino liking her brother...and eroge.

This anime is as mediocre as it looks, the plot summary I read on Wikipedia was more interesting than the actual series.
Story: 5/10
The story was okay. It's not as interesting as the description of the series would make it to be. It had alot of history mentioned in the plot but who cares when it was basically about a vampire who is an old war hero moving his brother to a new place so he could experience friendship. They could have put the history in the scenes if it was really all that important, therefore the 12 episodes would have been worth it. This could
...
have easily been an ova/ona series. It wasn't really any need to drag it out to 12 episodes. I wouldn't say the pace was slow (for me anyways) but it was dragged out. It reminded me of the series 2005's Guyver they could have easily been less than 26 episodes. There were no fillers or side stories in Black Blood Brothers. It did have flashbacks to Kotarou and Jirou spending time to get when Kotaruo was a female. The conclusion was good mostly because I was happy it was ending. It hinted at continuation of the story but it didn't end badly to where there were big questions unanswered.
What I liked about this series:
What I liked about this series is the comedy and not in the way you think. On the anime data news base sites that I have seen they have this series in the genre of comedy. Which I find it was dry on comedy. What I did find funny is that if he wanted to protect his brother wouldn't it have been smart if he DIDN'T wear a rich red suit with a funny looking wizard hat to match? Wouldn't that make him...STICK OUT?!! lol (Interesting note about Jirou's costume is that it looks like a Hellsing ripoff.)
Something else I found hilarious was in episode 5. When Jirou mentions that he could tell Mimiko was a virgin she becomes embarrassed and pushes Jirou on the street with little Kotarou on his back. Trying to dodge Mimiko's kicks, Jirou then rolls on the floor laughing squishing Kotarou who is still on his back. IThe person who was watching this series with me and I started laughing frantically. I had to pause the episode to get all my laughing out. While Jirou was laughing trying to dodge Mimiko's kicks didn't he realize he was steam rolling his little brother that was on his back? (lol) So in short, I liked the series because it was so lame that I could get a good laugh off of it.
Art: 5/10
The art in the series was weak. It had nice see through curtains in the first episode. Contained the goodies like hair shine, eye freckles, nice water detail (in one scene though the rest of the water detail was okay) and light/sun beams but it was still lacking over all. Although I'm a big fan of red the color scheme was average at best.
Sound: 5/10
I watched the english dubbed version on netflix so the sound review is for english dubbed. The voices were lifeless and borderline boring which is one of the biggest reasons why I don't like to watch dubbed anime because they usually fail to bring any personality to the table.
The beginning song is a big pass. It was attempt of rock that I didn't appreciate. The background music could have been better but it wasn't annoying. The end song, I actually liked. I wouldn't run out and buy it, but it is a highlight of the series but that may be because it's an end of me wasting my time....lol.
Character: 5/10
The characters introduced played their part but none of them made me interested in learning more about them.
Enjoyment: 5/10
It wasn't unbearable but if they would have dragged it longer than 12 episodes I would be writing a suicide note....lol
Overall: 5/10
It all averages out to 5/10 and I would add it's mediocre at best.
Would I recommend to someone else? I would have to think about that. If someone thought the animes I think are lame were cool and they were into vampire stories than I would recommend this to them other than that I wouldn't recommend it. The story summaries on the anime news databases is about as deep as it goes.

The unique (and corny) name is what got my interest in this anime. I read the description looking forward to a great plot that contained fantasy and adventure, but it ended up with trite comedy, disappointment and magic tricks.
Story: 6/10
General Scenario:
The beginning (first two episodes) was dare I say, terrible? It's most likely to turn viewers off leaving them to think "I'll pass". It jumps around, confusing the viewer instead of being intriguing. The story contains Ryner Lute being a lazy student and Ryner as well as Ferris searching for relics. It's much more than that but unfortunately it doesn't evolve everything it introduces. For
...
example: What happened to the people of the land that was conquered by Roland? There was not a significant follow up. How about God's Eye group (the group of kids who were outcast because of Alpha Stigma)? You would think Ryner would be concerned about them. They should have used less of their time on Ferris love for Dango and more on the plot. It was like they were trying to cram a whole plot into 24 episodes, when in order to develop the plot into a masterpiece for what they were trying to present, it needed more time than that. A concept does not guarantee an excellent finished product.
Form of Development/Pace:
The pace was moderate for each individual episode, but overall I would say it's fast even though it doesn't seem that way. Since it tries to cram a lot of information in 24 episodes, a lot of development is left out of the loop.
Sides stories/ Extra space:
There are no fillers however there is one recap episode.
Believable?
It's believable it's just poorly done to where people connect with the story itself.
The Conclusion:
The Legend of the Legendary Hereos' conclusion was a big disappointment, reminding me of the ending of the atrocity known as Pandora Hearts /パンドラハーツ,/ Pandora Hātsu (I haven't done a review on that but I should. I'm already expecting hate mail for that review). It ended with a test of friendship (23rd episode) and bringing back people that the anime left behind but not to contribute to the plot it was more like "hey, these people you forgot about they are still alive" kind of feel (24th episode). It also left the viewer to ask what in the hell was the story about? Was it about finding relics, a legend of legendary heroes or was it attempting to be about the struggle of existing as an outcast (Ryner) and the burden of wearing a mask (Sion and Ferris, when it came to her issues and how she acted them out on Ryner)? Conclusion are supposed to bring the plot together and make the viewer at peace because of everything made sense it's not supposed to leave you hanging with a lot of questions unanswered.
What kept my interest:
What kept my interest as the viewer is wondering how will the characters overcome their struggles. Sion with the pressure of trying to produce a "perfect world", a more harmonious world. Ryner finding true happiness leaving the mental despair of the Alpha Stigma behind and Ferris with her mental trauma, how will she overcome her fear of abandonment by those who loves her and her truly learning how to display love. (Instead of putting up walls and beating Ryner up and jokingly at his character for comic relief would she ever come to a place where she is truly vulnerable.)
Explanation of rating:
At most I would rate this story 6 out of 10. 6, meaning fine. It had the potential to be great but failed but at the same time it'll keep your interest anyways. Critically I would rate it a 4 (4 meaning bad), instead of the comic relief it could have used that time for plot. Black Butler /黒執事/ Kuroshitsuji is an example of funny moments but the plot is more essential and the comedy does not attempt to make up for lack of plot. However I did wonder how it would all pan out so at most I would give it a 6 for fine because some might love the hell out of it despite it's flaws while others looking at it critically would recognize what a big disappointment it is.
Art: 8/10
The artwork is splendid. It would have been better if had a great plot to flow with. I love the color schemes and the details and colors of the character costumes. Ferris costume is a treat with her purple and pink costume. This anime contained nice reflections and magic effects esp. the glow of the Alpha Stigma eyes, beautiful sunsets and detailed and fitting backgrounds. There isn't much to complain about the artwork. I don't remember one episode where I felt that the art team was slacking off on their job so with that I would give the artwork 8 out of 10. 8 meaning very good.
Sound: 7/10
The beginning theme and (especially) end theme compliments the series. The end theme were the better out of the two but nothing outstanding that makes me wanna rate higher. I like themes that encourage me to learn the lyrics not fast forward or skip if I have a chance. The background music was good though, it complimented the artwork and theme of the story. There were no annoying voices so that was a plus. So I would give it an 7 out of 10, 7 meaning good.
Character: 6/10
I would rate the character 6 out of 10, 6 meaning fine. The main characters Ryner, Ferris and Sion have issues that one can relate or sympathize with. That what makes them appealing to the story. Ryner have been rejected by society and still consider those who reject him well being. He often struggles with the will to go on in a world that hates him. Ferris has her trauma from her parents and she acts that out on Ryner with joking about his behavior being lewd and perverted while physically hitting him. Sion abandoned by one parent while the other one died, rose to power . He carries the burden of the world on his shoulders by trying to do the right thing. If the story was right it would have been beautiful to see how Sion finds balance in ruling a kingdom and being happy, Ryner would have overcome his struggle and Ferris would have faced her trauma and how it has affected her behavior towards a person she obviously cared about... Ryner. None of that happened instead the potential for great characters who could overcome were left how they were found in the ending. No significant progression at all.
With the side characters, they were introduced but some of them weren't effectively utilized to be a benefit to the story.
Enjoyment: 7/10
Episode by episode I enjoyed the anime after the beginning the first two episodes in particular. However on an all overall scheme I'm disappointed esp. with the conclusion.
Overall: 6/10
It averages out to a 6.8, most of that would be due towards the non-plot reviews so that should be taken into consideration. I'm putting down to 6 so it wouldn't give any false hope. This might be an anime where the viewer has to watch again to catch little details to be satisfied with the plot but that shouldn't be necessary and wouldn't be necessary if it was written well.
Would I recommend to someone else? I don't think I would. If you are fond of the animation for cosplay reasons and can handle the first two episodes then buy all means go for it but don't say I didn't warn you.
Final notes:
Even though I heavily criticized this anime I liked it and enjoyed it despite it's flaws. :-)

Katanagatari
Katanagatari is an adventure anime with some action and touches of comedy. This would be rated PG-13 for the blood spill. I recommend if you don't like the pace of the first two episodes I suggest you watch something else because it might be to slow for you.
Story:
9.5/10
First episode got me interested in the plot and after that the rest of the episodes tend to keep me interested. The plot is quite simple but it works. They introduce the main characters and after that it's an opponent for each episode. In the episodes of fighting the opponents it represents one month in which they
...
develop the opponents background of the main character. It ended very well, the last episode surprised me then left me satisfied until the very last moment. (Hint: Watch the whole episode through just don't cut it off when you see credits.) My only complaint is the second episode and they were trying to explain to give some background and it was quite boring. Other than that they used the time to their advantage. I also liked the pace. I don't have to have action all the time and I like dialogue when executed right.
Art:
10/10
Since the artwork is so different it puts the story in a different view. At first I thought the artwork was odd but it got me interested into watching it.This anime utilizes very bold and rich colors. I love the textures, the lines and the backgrounds. It looks quite simple (the character designs) but it's complex(the background and it's details) at the same time because of all the different textures used.
Sound:
9.5/10
There are no horrible voice actors with too soft voices or creepy deep voices for females. I enjoyed the narration as well that gave it a different feel to the story. I love the background music. Along with the art and story the background music sets the anime to be really enjoyable. The beginning and end song was okay for me considering how much I liked the artwork and story. I felt it could have been better. There are very few animes that get me interested in their theme songs so I'm not going to count Katanagatari theme songs too hard against it just because I wouldn't buy the soundtrack, lol.
Character:
10/10
All the characters that are introduced are utilized in the story. I also liked how the opponents that Yasuri Shichika fought were developed in their own episode as well. You see the main character grow as well which is a treat.
Enjoyment:
9/10
I was really turned off by the second episode and that chunk of dialogue that I felt was a waste. They could have found better ways to lay it out but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I looked forward to it every month and finished it so that says something for itself.
Overall: 9/10
I would give it a 9/10 being the least. I really enjoyed this anime and I would watch again. I would recommend this anime to someone who likes action but can handle a story at a moderate place not filled with slapstick comedy when there is no fighting.

To put it simply, Kobato is a beautiful and endearing anime recommended for all ages. This anime contains sweet characters with laid back but meaningful episodes. Everything flows together in this anime. There are no fillers so every episode is used wisely.
The audience that would enjoy this the most are those who like fantasy with a slight touch of romance to the plot. This story also values other relationships as well like friendship.
What I like most about this anime is that it answers the main question/s with an delightful ending especially for the romantic softies, warm characters and beautiful color scheme.
Story: I would give
...
a 10/10 but I'm in love with the anime so I might be biased, lol. So critically I would give it an 8. It can be a lil too slow paced for some. There isn't any action, it's light on the comedy and it's more slice of life feel to it than adventure even though Kobato journey is an adventure it's own right it's a humble one.
Art: I would give 10/10. The artwork fit the storyline and characters very well. The color scheme was warm and joyful, like main character Kobato and the story. The backgrounds were nice, nice details of the eyes (two tone eyes and white freckles). The artwork also had great sun beam (that's hard to describe but when you see the detail it's awesome). They had 3/D effects sneaked in there and that was excellent as well.
Sound: I would give an 8/10. I wasn't too hot on the music but it was nice not something I would want to buy though. There were no annoying voices! Yay!
Character: I would give 7/10. I give it a 7/10 because I would have like to known more about the twins and their mother relationship with their father if he existed.
Enjoyment: 8/10 I enjoyed this anime very much. I especially enjoyed Kobato's singing. That's what suckers you into the anime is the first song. I was really looked forward to more singing than what happened but I still enjoyed the anime regardless.
Overall: 8/10 If you can handle stories more about friendship than action this is anime for you. I would definitely rewatch this. I would recommend this anime to someone who like romance and stories about friendship more than any other genre it could be categorized as.
Sorry for any grammatical and/or spelling errors I didn't catch.

Planzet
The story takes place in the future. It's basically about an alien invasion in the main character trying to defend planet earth while defeating the enemy.
This movie is for sci-fi/mecha fans esp. those who like the end of the world stories. Also if you are not a big fan of 3-D animation you might not like it all. When it first started I was not a fan of the animation nor how the story was going. It was coming off a lil boring and I thought for the advancement in technology this 3-D animation was coming a lil weak in coolness. I didn't start to
...
get into it until the action began which might be a lil too late for some. The end was expected but still nice. I would say this movies is okay because it wouldn't reach general audiences in being cool. I liked it because it was sci-fi, I disliked it because if you are not into sci-fi or 3D animation you might find it a waste of time.
Story: 6/10 In 52 mins you can only do so much, it would have better with a more interesting beginning.
Art: 6/10 When the movie first started I thought it was crappy 3-D but when the action started I didn't seem to mind any more. The animation looks better after the movies goes along.
Character: 6/10 The main character matured so that's always a plus.
Enjoyment: 6/10 I ended up taking a nap somewhere before the action started. When I woke up and the fighting began I started to enjoy it.
Overall: 6/10 If you are a sci-fi geek like me you will like it at most, if you like 3-D animation you would enjoy it even more.
When it comes recommendations, I would recommend this to a Sci-fi, 3-D, Mecha fan (esp. if they enjoy short movies) who else nothing better to do with time to kill. Anyone else might find it boring.

Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru
This is a review based on first and second episode only.
Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru is a simple anime that is revolved around a rather odd maid cafe and it's employees. In the first two episodes there are hints of romance but its more about working at a cafe more than anything else. It would be fitted in the "slice of life" genre. It attempts to be so realistic they even have a not-so-pleasing-to-the-eyes friend to the two main characters. When I first saw this character I thought it was a joke but she made it to another scene so I'm guessing she's
...
permanent. This anime is okay for me. I suspect I would enjoy it more if I had experience in being a waitress. I laughed but I would probably laugh more if not harder if I could relate.
The beginning theme song is a cheesy jazz attempt to be broadway ( I guess)... I really don't know how to categorize the beginning theme. The end theme song is not-so-interesting Rock. Neither of them are unbearable but I still fast forward until I get to the story. They also play music during the dialogue, it's hardly noticeable and not annoying so that's a plus.
In short:
Story: 6/10 so far. The first episode really didn't get me interested in watching the next one but somehow the second one made me curious.
Art: 6/10 Nothing spectacular but not horrible at the least.
Character: 6/10 They don't have that many main characters so far but at least you can relate to one supporting if you are ugly (lol).
Enjoyment: 6/10 I didn't get overjoyed when watching it but I think if I was working in a restaurant (esp. a mom and pop one I would enjoy it more).
Overall: 6. It's not a bad anime but I think one would enjoy it more if they could relate. It has it's comedy and chance of romance but I still won't rush to remind myself to watch it.
I would watch this with someone else who wants to watch it or has it but I most likely won't watch it again unless I get an odd urge to. When it comes to recommendation I would probably recommend this to someone who works in the food industry and enjoys slice-of-life anime (geared towards females).

Cruz Reviews:Maburaho
Maburaho is a romance story of a shy and kind male getting chased by three girls for his genes. This is a great if you like light romantic comedies in anime. I like this "harem" style anime because of the humor. There were little sentimental moments as well shared between the main character Kazuki Shikimori, and main three female characters (Yuna Miyama, Kuriko Kazetsubaki, Rin Kamishiro), so it's not all chasing after a male. The ending was a lil whack for me and seemed a lil rush as if it was made just to end the series, I was hoping for something
...
better and more romantic.
