(No Spoilers) (Holistic review)
Made in Abyss is a anime that talks about a city next a big hole called “The Abyss”. The “Abyss” is a unknow underground place divided on 6 layers (that the human know), everyone with different aspects, with different creatures, plants.
The Abyss has a powerfull curse, he creates effect on the human body depending on how deep you rises from him. The affects on the firsts layers are nausea, after hallucinations, after blood from the ears /eyes /mouth and deeper he have death /destruction /madness. In some point is considering “Impossible” for a normal human being to return from the deepest
...
of the Abyss.
Inside the Abyss we can find multiple types of relics, like “magic objects”, and we have people that goes deep in this Abyss to bring this relic to surface achieving famous and money, this “famous and money” are so important the that hierarch on this city turns around the people that can reach the deeps of the Abyss, the most respescted people of the city are the “White whistles”: people who could reach the deepest of the Abyss and return alive to tell the secret.
This is the first coating of our plot, all this information is showed in the first two episodes with a good pace of narrative, I said this is the first coating, because we the plot revolves around the interaction of the Abyss with our character (our second coating on the plot).
Our characters are Riko (13 years old), the daughter of the white whistle Liza (the mom, that Riko wants to find, but we truly do not know how deep Liza is on the Abyss ), a Red Whistle (the lower rank on the society of the adventures, that can only go on the first layer of the Abyss) who on her Abyss exploration finds I humanoid robot called Reg (apparently 13 years old too), a robot with a good amount of power, resistance and intelligent, but with no memory of the pass, in orther words, we do not know the origin of Reg (but is kind of obvious that he comes from the abyss).
The set is clear, with Reg power and desire to know about himself, Riko together with Reg go down the Abyss to find her mother.
The plot and character dynamics on Made in Abyss is the fusion of this heavy atmosphere that The Abyss create and the desires of our characters. It’s a kind of obvious, but in Made in Abyss The Abyss itself is a element so strong in the creating of our characters development, and on the creation of the atmosphere (and the responsible for the immersion of the anime), that a I can only associate this strong cosmologic aspect on the anime Mushishi (2005, of the Director Nagahama Hiroshi). The Abyss creates his onw rules and creatures in a such strong way, that I can only argue that The Abyss is a cosmologic entity like the Mushi’s on Mushishi world.
The way that The Abyss decides which scene is for drama, or for the struggle, or for the appreciation, is so powerful, that we can not imagine our characters outside of this ambient. The Abyss on the anime is always portrayed as the most important thing of the humans beings (especialy for the explorers), and for us (wachters) The Abyss becomes the most important thing for our artistic appreciation. I can only sum up The Abyss in a “beautiful mystery” (almost like life ka ka).
As I said, the characters are two kids inside this Abyss, their dreams are embedded with The Abyss rules and creatures, Riko has a burn spirit, the true spirit for a Explorer of The Abyss and Reg is as mysterious as The Abyss, but someway the characters sounds less like a “beautiful mystery”, and more like normal happy characters we are used to. Sometimes you feel some dissonance with the childishness of the characters and the Abyss multivalent atmosphere, I do not know if this is purposeful, but I can say two things about this dissonance:
1- In the beginning, this childishness is kind of cute, but sometimes you do not feel this aspect fits on the atmosphere of the anime.
2- After some episodes (specifically, after ep 7-8) you can feel that the
Abyss shapes our kids, the connection between then turns more clear and mature, and even the roles and the initial motivation grown up. And this is slow narrative aspect, and this maturing is the mark of the Director (Kojima Masayuki), Monster and Gunslinger Girl (especially this one) are two anime that we can feel that slow paced and we see some this slow characters maturing themselves (again, Gunslinger Girl is all about that I would say).
I would say that characters development is too slow, but thanks to the Abyss we have one final break of this childishness on the second half of the anime (As I said beginning in the 7-8, and the perfect break point on the ep 10).
Everything I said could only be possible, because the art and sound of the Made in Abyss is stunning, the easiness to immerse on The Abyss atmosphere is the product of the art, never too dark, never too bright (you can see a good use of the shadows and lights, the insertion of this elements are very accurate) , we can see that the scenarios is not static, we can see the movement of the plants, little animals, water, the scenes transpired life. We have a scene on the ep 2, when Rico shows the city next to the Abyss to Reg, and like Reg, we can feel how this world is stunning and vivid.
Some things I could say about the soundtrack, Yamada You (the sound director), the same of "Kimi no na Wa" and "Garden of the Words", hits the target on Made in Abyss. In this kind of immersive anime, I prepare myself for something more chill, traditional and slow paced song (without complex arrangement, just simples and clear sounds, like on Mushishi soundtrack), but in Made in Abyss, the Mystery of the Abyss fits perfect on this contemplative soundtrack, the soundtrack is more emotional, like every scene on the Abyss is a new discovery, the creation of something new every time the characters interact with the Abyss.
The lyrics and rhythm of the opening fits perfect on the spirit of a adventure of kids (Riko and Reg) on a hard world like the Abyss, but on the first episode we are introduced to the Abyss and introduced to the song called “Underground River” . The same goes on a specific flashback on the ep 8 (soundtrack named “Hanazeke Caradhina”) where we see the a perfect harmony between a good song, a good art and even a good dubbing.
The dubbing is kind of different, our main, Riko, is dubbed by a young seyiuu (Tomita Miyu), the same of Gabriel (of Gabriel Dropout), Otako (Oshiete! Galko-chan) and Kuina (Hinako Note). She feets Riko young and energetic side, her voice while crying is very good.
With Reg we have Mariya Ise, again another seyiuu that knows how to give life to a young character, but with some mature aspect (considering that Reg is in some way more realistic and cold than Riko), she was Misaki of Hyouka and she was Eureka of Pokemon YX .
If you want to see good voice, prepare yourself, in this show in have Lelouch Lamperouge, Onzen is Lelouch Lamperouge, the best voice of the anime, deep, strong and sharp, I can say that the voice Sayaka Ohara fits perfect on the atmosphere of The Abyss.
In the end, the only problem with Made in Abyss is the slow paced narrative and character development, Kojima always create this on me, sometimes I do not know if we have some evolution the plot or in the characters, because the narrative is so slow, detailed and holistic. But I can say that the Made in Abyss is the young brother of Mushishi, so is a anime that have a foundation on immersion, good art, good soundtrack and I perfect cosmologic aspect.

This REVIEW contains spoilers.
“Elohim, Essaim… Elohim, Essaim I implore you”
The masterpiece is a confluence of facts and feelings. We can argue that the masterpiece rest on the power of supress the time/space that the show are dived and so transcend all the essencial aspects of the charactes, sound and ambient for the soul/heart of the watcher.
But, with ours fallen eyes we can not surf on the waves of simbols, or dive on the ocean of salvation, redemption, punishment and love. So, to conect these abstract things (things that are more than concret on our intelect) with our desire (a legit desire, tell yourself in passing)
...
of good sounds and good imagens, we create a masterpiece and this masterpiece has a name: Your Lie in April.
In this review the main point is to answer some "critics" that i hearded for my friends, and consider other minor true mistakes.
Your Lie in April shows the story of Arima Kousei, a promenient kid on piano whose after a series of traumas lost the power of hear the piano, diving his world a black/white scenario. Then he knows the violinist Kaori Miyazono , a beatifull girl , whose Kousei best friend (Tsubaki) introduce to the popular Kousei best friend (Watari) in a "double date". Could that girl with a burning soul, return the colors back to Kousei life?
On the first seeing YLA (Your Line in April) sounds cliche and predictable, and after a few episodes the feelings(of some) is so dramatic that looks plastic. But, we have to make some consideration on this two critiques, so we could consider the true problems of YLA and how the whole show supress those mistakes.
First, is important to note that the plot, that is, the speed at wich the facts and narratives are exposed, rests on the characters development. The narratives are full of "psycological time", so we can have a entire episode inside the own time of the character. Characters and plot are almost the same thing in YLA. We can say that the characters has the " reins" of rhythm of the story. This point is very hard to reach, on a normal show the desire to give a conclusion on the plot, devour the characters development, like a wolf, the plot eats the time and the beauty things that only a well developed character can provide.
Said that, we can keep going on.
NO, YLA is not cliche/predictable, yeah, you can predict some MAIN FACTS (the important one in the EP 4-5), but this mains facts are only one piece (the more superficial and material piece) on the constitucion of the castle called masterpiece.
For a masterpiece, like YLA, the spice of a big surprise (or, a good plot twist) is just a acessorie. There is no reason to create a web of wierd facts, or a plot line that rests on a big surprise on the grand finale, because ,as i said, the reins of YLA are on the characters hands. This characters shows themselfs for us with a perfect transparency, like a friends that every day (in this case, every episode) reveals more and more of his feelings, his fears, his past to us. In the end, the characters of YLA (the true commanders of the plot line) could not built a reverse or a conspirancy in the story, because they are very honest with us (and with themself). So, argue that you can predict the finals events, without predict the beaty path to this end, is more like yelling to the wind than a criticism.
Marching to the second point. The point that YLA is "too dramatic, too exagerated, too serious business for the characters ages, in other words, YLA is more like pile of plastic feelings than like a masterpiece". When I was watching YLA, I was reading " The Republic" of Plato, on the perfect government (the aristocracy of phylosophes) the children chosen to be leaders had music education, because the fine arts (like paiting, sing, play instruments and music theory) refine the spirit (intelect) and provide a "efemined" nature to those whose praticed it.
"And therefore, I said, Glaucon, musical training is a more potent instrument
than any other, because rhythm and harmony find their way into the inward
places of the soul, on which they mightily fasten, imparting grace, and making
the soul of him who is rightly educated graceful" (Plato)
I have to admit that the selection of words, and the description of feelings, has some uncommon weight for a modern man. But, the beauty rests on it, I'm not advocating the cause of the "this is so hard to catch that have to mean something deep", I'm saying that the plot premisses (musicians and their dramas) creates a refined world that must be explored with unsual words, deep feelings and dramatic descriptions. We are talking about kids exposed to the uniserval languague (that can compilate all symbols) of the music since the tender age (don't underestimate this central point).
But... Why so young character ? Could be possible that 14 years humans have that "psicologic deepness" or that "self-knowledge" ? Yes, even these gifts of the intelect can be learned in a habitat for it, we are talking about young painists, whose play the piano since a very young age, the contact with this high culture (the classical music) produces the personality of almost all the characters of YLA (I will come back to this central point after), I cannot deny (or ignore) Plato information about music education and the effect of it.
Those are the two major point that my friends told me about YLA, I consider the second more relevant than the first one. But now, I want to expose orther point that I notice on the show.
I said before that in YLA the kings of the story are the characters, in YLA we, theoretically, have four main characters (Watari, Tsubaki, Kaori, Kousei), but it isn’t totally true.
We can divide the arcs of each character, the first 12 eps are the Kousei arc, the reborn of the pianist spirit (the repainting of a black-white world) and the Love-Romantic arc (or the Kaori-Tsubaki arc, on the last 10 eps), the “battle” between music, childhood, love and friendship.
On this Kousei arc the point is the past and the drama of Kousei, the rhytm of time is the rhytm of Kousei souls, and to guide us in this journey on Kousei souls in have our “main guide”: Kaori. It is very important how Kaori isn’t the focuses on this arc, but it shows a good part her soul on this arc, mainly, her funny and energetic side (AND THIS IS A TRUMP FOR THE LAST TWO EPS). Of course, we can’t forget the two catalysts of this souls encounter: Watari and Tsubaki. On Tsubaki we see the “opposite” of Kaori, we can see who her souls turns into a sea of doubts and fears (wich only intensifies on the second arc), in the Nao Kashiwagi (Tsubaki friend) words the “your eyes turned grey, Tsubaki”, even on the "Kousei arc", Tsubaki has a perfect "main-suporte" role, being a suport for Kousei (fewer than Kaori, I have to say) and been "main of herself".
The true problem is Watari. He is,in theory, the boyfriend of Kaori, but Kaori shines like a sun and, in the progress of the show we can only say that Watari is a funny guy, and worst than that, the apex of Watari soul is in the ep 10 (when he loses the soccer tournament and cries alone on the bathroom and talks with Kousei about the lost chance of been a star, leaving for Kousei the chance). I’m not saying that having one funny guy isn’t important, but it is important observe the gradually decreasing of the comedy on the anime, leaving the Kousei arc (12 first eps) Watari is almost , totally, lost on the story, mainly, because the romantic arc takes place on Kousei-Tsubaki-Kaori, that is, Watari become the true support character (note, that even on the Kousei arc , Watari rarely shines like a main, his soul, for me, remains incomplet).
But I have to admit that “Watari mistake” can not suppress the orthers characters development, and is very acceptable that Kaori eat the glory of Watari, she is the sun and the woman that can overwhelm every man (mainly, a man a little superficial like Watari). I read a critic showing that Kaori development was very postponed on the Kousei arc (I type of "Kouseicentrism"), but it is truly not real, as I said, the Kaori development on the Kouse Arc was perfect for conect with the Kaori of the last eps (21-22), this part of Kaori souls (the part the shines like a sun and that warms our hearts) reveal the show legacy(or the show essence).
Other thing in the characters wich are truly masterpieces are those “secondary characters” (Takeshi, Emi, Hiroko and Nagi), that truly shine. Takeshi and Emi reveals more about Kousei than I could expect, the way that they reflect two kinds of hero on him (Kousei) fits perfect with the two kinds of man that Tsubaki and Kaori sees on the young pianist. Hiroko was truly a safe port, she demonstrate a good way to represent a adult on this sea of confuse kids. And Nagi shows to us more of the musical spirit (intensifying the work of Takeshi and Emi) and the connection between musicians. I have to say that those “secondary characters” are truly gold on this show, without them YLA would not be this masterpiece.
I think that I don’t have to talk about the excellent dub cast, such sentimental character just can be dubbed by a good team. Risa Taneda (Kaori) were Mirai (Kyoukai no Kanata), Erina (Shokugeki no Soma) ,Saki ( Shinsekai Yori), Rory (Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri), her voice flexibility is marvelous, she reflects perfect the Kaori faces on the anime. For Kousei we have Hanae Natsuki, he were Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul), Taichi (Digimon Adventure Tri.) and Elam (Arslan Senki), again in can see a good diversity of characters, all this characters works around “redemption” (mainly, Kaneki and this new Taichi) almost like Kousei. And for Tsubaki (Ayane Sakura) we see funny one, fitting perfect with her, characters like Haru Onodera (Nisekoi:), Uraraka ( Boku no Hero Academia), Moa (Show by Rock!!) and Iroha Isshiki (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru).
And for a masterpiece we have to immerse on the atmosphere, and YLA made do this not only with good characters, but with a perfect art and a perfect sound. YLA uses the power of A-1 Pictures to create bright scenarios, use of strong and shine colors without a excess of information (different of the Madhouse show: No Game no Life), the harmony of the scene of focuses and the background is more than impressive (even the extras have singular faces, the use of CG is very rare), it is hard to use such brightness without fall in a “I want you to have Epilapsia” dilemma. The process of animation is from another world, on the moment that the characters play the instruments we can see the caution with the details, all the movement looks natural and vivid.
About the soundtrack... it is hard to end this anime and don't fall in love with Chopin. I don't have to say that classic music is, minimally, good. But the Original Soundtrack of the YLA is very underestimated, tracks like "Again", "Watashi no Uso", "Spring Melody" are things that your heart will remember (because it fits perfect with the anime scene, one thing to note is that all music and scene have some kind of natural sound, a spring sound, a colorful beat). Naturally, the two opening themes: Hikaru Nara (Goose House) and Nanairo Symphony (Coala Mode.) are music that will show the importante aspects of the anime, and will make you to hum for a few days.
I tried to explain some points of YLA, and lead you (and myself) to this conclusion: this show is a masterpiece. If I failed to prove this, sorry, it remains a masterpiece, but I'm too small to talk about such big thing. Kisses.

Plot( 9/10):
I think that is important to look at the tags of the anime. Talking about Nanatsu, I can see this tags: Action, Adventure, Fantasy,Shounen, Supernatural.
Seeing this tags, one question crossed my mind: What means a “good adventure”?
The word “adventure” originates from the latim “ad venture”, which means literally “what lies ahead”. Putting this in a anime plot perspective, adventure will be the problems, conflicts, battles, etc… that the characters have to pass by to reach one determined goal.
Answer my own question, what means a “good adventure” ?
A “good adventure” in a plot means one multiplicity of conflicts, battles, problems. Conflicts, battles,
...
problems, have to permeates all kinds of questions of a fantasy world, so talk about politics, ethics, moral, relationships (friend-friend, lovers-lovers) are things that create a good adventure (so, good things to the characters find a solution), and ,certainly, a good plot in general.
PS: Some adventure can have some funny moments, and on Nanatsu all the conflicts has its pinches of comedy, if you don’t like a adventure per se, you will love the comedy immersed on this.
Know that you know what “GOOD ADVENTURE” is, let's see how the plot of Nanatsu fits on this definition.
Nanatsu no Taizai starts saying on what the world is. The humankind fought against dark creatures (I like to call them demons), the advantage was clear, but some specials humans learn who to use magic and gave the humankind some peace (conflict of survival is placed on the table), this humans become the Holy Knights (our army, nowadays). Here I have to say that the Holy Knights is the stronger corporation of the mankind, but they don't have the political power (this is the job for the king and the noble families). But, for some reason, Seven Holy Knights betrayed the Kingdom. They were known like Seven Deadly Sins, look that a political treason is another conflict to a good adventure. Some years after this event, the Holy Knights became a corrupt corporation, wishing more power, so they decide remove the Kings and Noble Families of the political power, again a good treason conflict.
Now you know how a good anime connect the facts:
One daughter (Elizabeth) of the king flees from the attack of the Holy Knights and now she is on a mission to find the Seven Deadly Sins (even after the betrayal be eradicated, some Sins still missing) and save the Kingdom (using the traitors against the traitors, just ironic). She finds the Captain of the Sins (Meliodas), the boy on the main photo of the anime and he, smiling, accept the task of saving the Kingdom.
So, how i said, a good adventure plot is the one that you have problems (facts), that permeates by all the human conflicts (both in a social perspective, than in an individual perspective) and Nanatsu connect all problems with mastery, so it’s a good adventure plot.
In this plot a lot of questions will grow. The Seven Deadly Sins are truly the real traitors? If not, why they are treated like traitors? What is the plan of the Holy Knights? You can create your own questions. The plot has facts that make you think, so think.
Characters (9/10):
I will not talk about the Princess Elizabeth, basically she is pretty girl that will do you see panties every time, and she the perfect princess for a Utopian World, just that, is a bowl of soup character, deal with it.
In the beginning of the review, I said that:
", adventure will be the problems, conflicts, battles, etc… that the characters have to pass by to reach one determined goal."
So, don't have possibility to talk about adventure without talk about the characters immersed in the adventure. Remember that Nanatsu is a Shounen, so the characters have to pass some clichês lessons and more than that, the development of the characters will happen more in a magical battlefield than in a battle inside the head of the character . But that mental fight that Nanatsu tries to create something different (and I will explain this topic)
In this point, I think that name of the anime is useful.
Again, I have to put some concepts on the table. What is a Sin ? In a religious way, the sin is something that separates you from God (because, it's a break of the law of Him). For the Catholic Church the Deadly Sins are sins that guides you to the condemnation (different of the others Sins). But in Nanatsu you have to observe that "Sin" has one small difference in meaning.
Sin on Nanatsu is the feeling that the character has to carry. One thing that they never could forgive, one feeling that gives them a strong power and, on the other hand, the feeling that prevents them to evolve. Now you understand why I talked about the concept of sin on the begin ? Because, in Nanatsu all the development of the character never will destroy the sin that they carry.
So, Nanatsu tries to create a solid base for the character, based and ,I risk myself to say, delimited by the Sin. Very original.
Sound(7/10):
(eps 1-12)The opening and ending are very good, one thing that I didn't like is that the ending fits better to introduce the anime (for me, the ending must be the opening). (eps 1-12)
(eps 13+) Now this opening is a masterpiece, the lyrics combines with the anime a lot. The ending is very good, too. Now, i can't say that the ending must be the opening. (eps 13+)
But talking about the ost ("musics" on the anime per se) is very weak. You don't have good battle musics that put you in the fire of the battle, or a funny music that combines with the fun moment itself. And I not found one good "orchestra" (a good violin solo, or a good piano solo).
Art (7/10):
I have to say that I don't like the Art. I can summarize this feeling, saying that I felt like i was in a anime of 2002, the tracing is very thin, and I missed some brightness. The effects on battle could be much better, again the lack of brightness "helps" this point. With the budget that the anime have, Nanatsu could do a better work here (the same with the sound).
Overall (8/10):
Very good Shounen, with something more deep than swords, magic and the cliche "good boys vs bad boys". You will find all this, but putting a good adventure (like I tried to explain).
You will laugh a lot in this adventure. I recommend this if you want to see a shounen not so cliche and funny, and if you have some obsession with panties (prepare yourself for the "fan service"). Just it.

Well, I like to see the anime tags to make a review/critic. Koufuku Graffiti (who difficult and kawaii name, don't you think ?) has the following tags: "Comedy, Slice of Life and Seinen".
Right away, I see one problem. Where is the "Food" in the tags ?
Every anime have one thing that is the base of the history, character development, the base of the conflicts and the light of the solutions. On Kokufu this "thing" is the food. Yeah, you will see a anime talking about a life of a student, but on this life the food will create the friendship, will reveal memories and the
...
past of the characters, will solve the problems and the most important, will make you feel hungry.
And to accompany this main plate (the food), Kofuku brings kawaii characters, a good art, very shining characters, shining ambient, good lights, good traces without contrast between the character traces and the ambient traces (everything in harmony).
Kawaii opening and ending, everything with lyrics and scenes that fits very well with the anime.
The final point that I like to say here is: the fan service is very different here, instead of boobs, paints and asses, you will see a "sensual" way of the eating, who ? Simples, with focuses on the mouth (taking advantage of the brightness of the traces, and the excessive light), on the tasting face of the characters and the discription of all the delicous of the food.
So, I recommend Kofuku if you want to see a slice of life, a good drawing and a good traces, kawaii girls. If you like food this anime is very good to you and for the people who are tired of the classic fan service.

Plot:
Selector Spread Wixoss follows 90% of Infected Wixoss plot. So the battles by the dreams of Ruuko, Hitoe,Yuzuki, Iona continues and that is awesome. But now, the plot have more focuses on the "cosmological world of wissox" trying to make you now the whys and the logical behind the cards battle and the girls on the cards.
But don't think that the dramas of the girl will be set aside, no only the world wissox will be revealed but the world inside every girl too. The logical sequence of the theme of Infect Wixoss will not be broken, and that is very importante to appreciate
...
the anime, rarely, storm of information will rain (without lose the complexity) on you and that makes the anime easy to understand but doesn't destroy the mystery.
I just can't give 10 for the plot, because the similarity with Madoka Magica is very outstanding.
Characters:
Ruuko: Like every main, she have to suffer (more hihih). Ruko does not changed a lot from the Infected season. But i can not deny that she still pass want she have to pass. The spirit of war inside her, she want to battle, she knows that battle is bad, she have to save her friends for the Wixoss "cicle", she want to live with Tama. Everything happens on her mind. The growth (as a character) is very expected, this accumulation will be directed to where? Savior, friend, warrior, everyone wants to know who is the real Ruko.
Yuzuki: Frustration, this word summarizes Yuzuki. Deceived, another word. Energy, another word. Truly, my favorite character. She dream is just terrible (and against everything that I belive), but i consider a pure dream. Unlike Infected season, Yuzuki shows more coolness, more rationality, she follows want Kazuki told to her: "don't be so straight". And that is important, shows an evolution on how she deals with her situation. She still is the "fire" of the trinity, but she assumes the prudent part of the group (due to their painful experiences). She is just essential.
Hitoe: I have to admit, for me, she was useful only to show the effect of three defeats, but i have to consider the she was importante to bring the difficulties of start a relation when you are a teen. And more than this, she grows as character (and this is importante for a teen serie), Hitoe now shows that evolved, she does not fall apart on tears like on Infected series and now she is truly part of the trinity (Ruko, Yuzuki, and now Hitoe). For me, she still be the "weakness" of the group, but she has her "job" on the moral lessons of the anime.
Akira: The bitch, only this. She is terrible, an unstable and manipulable girl. Envy, work pressure, crazy love, obsession, everything placed on a teen with cards with power to destroy dreams. I don't know if Akira evolved (as a character), for me the change of jealous and angry bitch for a lacking and submissive girl isn't a evolution. But Akira is importante to show the pressure on childhood, she is importante for the context, but i still hate her.
Iona: This girl is the power himself, why i say this ? Simple, she is OP. The cold character (that Yuzuki can't be) with the power that Ruuko always denies. She is the key of this season, and will be the trigger for shows who is the true Ruuko, the true Tama, the true Mayu, the true Ullith. I can't see much development on Iona, she will be the op key that will show more of the feeling (and powers) of the other characters. I see this potential on Iona.
Art and Sound:
Good traces, traits that pass the feelings of the characters and that makes the art of Spread very light and intelligent. With respect to the sound, the opening and ending are according with the theme. The sounds during the anime are very unique, sometimes I feel like a dubstep dj that made the ost. I love this atmosphere. The voices are very good (I love Chiyori and Eldora voices, they fit perfectly).
Overall:
If you don't have problems with Madoka Magica you will enjoy Wixoss, but don't expect one anime better than Madoka Magica. If you didn't saw Madoka, Wissox will be one good anime for you to undestand the world of teen girls and a little about magical card games.
