A very uninteresting and dull detective themed show with a very boring main character.

Beginning sucks for sure. Begining is what left me a bad impression of this show. A guy who's been off the business for so long agrees to get back into business after this guy he's never met his entire life says he would care for him during the action. Truly a very cliche and an unrealistic start to the anime. About 10 mins is wasted for this. The op detective guy is so boring he doesnt even tries to solve the cases. He literally knows everything. He sees a dead ... body and immediately knows the history. He takes more time to explain the murder than the time he takes to solve the case. The mysteries arent mysterious enough, the main detective guy just doesnt lets it become mysterious. The explanation sucks for sure too. It did look like it had some supernatural aspect in the show but it wasnt, which would have sucked in a detective show. They were just trying to become as unrealistic as possible by giving the main character the ability to kill criminals.

After that they added something which I think would not fit in a detective themed anime, a world class school that produces elite detectives and controls detective world. Ofcourse our main guy was top in the school. There's also a meeting between elite detectives that decide how things should go in detective world. The last anime that I saw where elites had a meeting was Mashle, which makes sense in a world and a story like that, but this is a detective anime. Elites pulling the legs of each other instead of solving cases. Detectives are supposed to solve mysteries and make it interesting for the watchers and not have political matters among themselves.

I dont hate the other main character. I do like characters that arent gifted with talents and try hard but still cant produce any results. But the other guy is just so talented. It isnt even interesting to see what he does. The story doesnt even need to be streched for 20 mins, they could have fit 2 stories in a episode. Our guy clearly knows the criminal of the case that takes place in episode 8. There is no any tension that you would feel when the detectives reach the crime scene and start investigating. No one understands whats going on when our op detective is blabbering about how Im so smart and I solved the case, and then theres one guy that pretends to have understood everything. He isnt even a detective at the moment and just enters the crime scene like its his house.

Its more of a comedy, slice of life than mystery. Its not comedy because it has comedy but because its funny how this kind of show exists. The elite school politics is more mysterious than the detective guy solving cases, when that part isnt even the main theme of the show.


EDIT: This opinion is just based on those three episodes that I watched. I dont know, things might have changed later on but I dropped the show. I know it doesnt make sense to say that a show is bad by just watching 3 episodes of it but we could say these are the reasons why I couldnt get past 3 episodes.

what da dog doin'?

A human has turned into a dog. How why what by whom we dont know that yet, we might never know that.

I was ready for extreme unsual things to happen in this anime because why not? In an anime where a human turns into a dog anything can happen. This dog guy happens to be adopted by the girl he likes. Ofcourse he was a pussy and he couldn't do anything when he was human and he won't be able to do anything now that he has turned into a dog. Except for one thing, our dog guy creates opportunities for ... stimulated watchers to witness the erotic scenes which unsually happens at the unexpected times. The unintentional sexual attacks made by our dog guy surprisingly arouses the girl and she enjoys it and desires for it again and again wtf. The main objective of this anime is to anyhow show the inside of girl's skirt and the anime does it's job well. Can't complain about the dog guy tho. Dude somehow turned into a dog and is living with a zoophile freak who forces him to lick toes, dude himself is traumatized. The problem is in female for not realising what position she is in and what she is doing. No disrespect to the people working on this show but now that I have already disliked so many aspects of this show I can't even think of it's good side because there isn't. The voice of inukai and pochita is irritating, animation is off the track sometimes Nekotani was so near to the door but still couldn't reach the door even after backing off 4 or 5 steps.

Just for the sake of knowing how my guy turned into a dog I'll stick with it till the end.
I recommend it because it truly is one of the experiences of all time.

I liked a music manga without hearing any music. I really wish that I could have heard them. This is why every good music manga needs a good anime adaptation. The story is very decent. The realism in this manga is also compromisable. You can hear the art so art has replaced the music in this manga. Music is an art anyway.

As mentioned earlier, The story is very decent. You can find this type of story every where. A character trying hard to achieve his dream, faces difficulties and overcomes it. This is also a story about a boy who is trying to become ... the best jazz musician ever. Like any other story this story also has a reliable sensei, Problems, best friends, opportunities and a main character with good personality and ability to learn faster. There is also a bit of possible romance which doesn't works out. I wanted them to get more opportunities to present their talent but maybe jazz being in less demand these days has affected this story. Even in the story there aren't any big platforms. I was really liking the realism in this manga until an accident happened. They finally got to perform on SO BLUE which is one of the biggest jazz performing platform in Japan but the pianist gets in an accident and becomes unable to perform on SO BLUE. This thing caught me off guard but isn't dissappointing at all. 7/10 to the story.

The art is above decent but is really important in this manga. I'm again saying this, The art in this manga has replaced music. The art really shows the intensity of music. The expressions and body postures really show how tense the music is and how hard the characters are trying. There are some chapters with no dialouges at all and I think that was important to show the music which wasn't heard. The characters are recognizable. Old people look old. Young people look young. Children look like children. Boys look like boys. Girls look like girls. So I've nothing to complain about.8/10

Main character is really very good. Main character is what makes other characters lovable. Every characters are supportive. Of course not all characters are lovable. Every characters who have met the main character and know what he does support him. There are almost 0 characters who criticize him. Sometimes important looking characters appear but never appear after which is not dissappointing at all. What i normally think is that the characters appearing in the beginning of the story who are close to main character stick till the end. That wasn't the case with this manga. The secondary main characters appeared in the middle of the story. It was hard getting used to them but that wasn't the problem. The reason I like the main character is personal. He is opposite of what I am. When I put myself is his place everthing feels so good. This might sound stupid but yeah. 9/10

I think this type of mangas are better the way they are. This is just showing how people are living their lives. Every life has flaws. Why judge people's lives when we can't do anything about it. Just enjoy how they are living and wish for good to happen. There might be things that might not go as you planned but think of it as part of their life and move on if you can. That's what I did.
