Just curious, how longer will they be smashing the hopes of poor viewers in the end of the series? Why should they make every second one into something sticky, made of a concentrated purple goo? Yep, Akume no Riddle, it’s about your creators.
Characters fap-fap-fap. I couldn’t get a grip of the m=names, expect for Haru (Haru wo mamoru, I’ll be saying this while doing illogical things). The main heroine is fit to become an ideal soldier, why don’t they have more of her. And the others! Stamp in on stamp here, raw materials barely make a single line. Even in Danganronpa they had it kinda
...
more livelily. Mi-nu-s.
Dat logic made me getting a vicious dump. I thought the director is the laziest man in the world. I was about getting my on-duty washbowl, when… *spoiler*. And that’s it! Everything fell into place. Then *spoiler* again. The problems I even wasn’t aware of have got rid of. Yet the final scene disturbed the good impression, I think that’s because some people have a bit too much vitality. But it’s a plus.
The same goes for the place. At first you are scrambled upon some black classes, assassins, way too elite schools… *spoiler* makes everything clear. The world at once becomes well-made and ready-to-defend-itself-against-your-criticism. Well yeah, just not bad, it has noting new or interesting in particular., and it’s wasn’t even planned that way. Simply plain.
GRAFICS. And SOUNDING. I frealing love it when each episode has its own ending theme. There are even descent ones. The opening is much more promising than the anime itself, and you can’t ignore it. At least everything is pretty and well-animated! Characters fap-fap-fap (da voices even make my desire stronger), especially the red-haired one, left behind near the end. Haru is quite something too. And the school. And it’s a plus.
The plot. The plot. It seems there is one, but on the other hand – is it needed? – you think for yourself while watching before *spoiler* occurs. Then it happens, and… What’s “and”? An artless “kill or be killed” story with a tiny bit of pure girls’ love. The last episodes start to interpret the previous ones freely, adding up a certain degree of THE DRAMA, but without answering the questions. As I seem to respect THE DRAMA here, there’s no minus.
Well… minus-plus… turns out to be a mediocre, casual anime which, however, has everything it takes to excite an unsophisticated viewer. If you don’t look into details much, you can even gain pleasure of it. It ain’t like you are anime for its final, right? Yet sure thing you won’t be looking forward to the promised sequel, damn it… Have a look at cute schoolgirls? Here you go. They even have weapons! I don’t know a man who’d stay calm and, ermmm, not get excited.
5/10. It’s normal; there are much more bad things. But for you to know – you should watch this BEFORE Danganronpa and stuff.

This show has just ended, and it’s turned out to be much better that its title. Moreover, it’s one the best animes this season. Yeah, it’s about girls playing a card-fighting game. Seriously it is.
It may seem strange based on the synopsis, but the plot itself keeps you on your toes. Sure thing, it often lacks some crucial parts, however, as the story resolves, you get more questions you truly wish to be answered. The weirder it feels when in the end you get no answers AT ALL. Like, they are realizing the sequel this autumn. Well, has there been a sequel – the story
...
would get a plus. Nothing as for now.
The characters, sorry to say, are kinda one-sided. Everyone has their prescribed role, and they act it out without any stray. Some just do exist while almost not adding anything up to the course of events – yet, again, the trailer promised us lots of changes. Well, it’s the second item you can’t put a good mark on based on these 12 episodes solely. The characters have a way to grow up, but now they have a minus.
The world itself is good, and the better it gets as the truth behind the scenes unfolds. I liked the mechanics behind the normal people interrupting the battles. The very card game, to my mind, is rather boring, yet it’s well-watered down with “pew-pew” on the battlefield. The dimension “on the other side of a card” is very intriguing and unexplained, and< I nedd to say, it actually counts as a good one. After adding everything up, it’s a plus.
The world itself is good, but is slightly illogical. You know, this ain’t no math to forbid things and then violate them saying “ah, sorry to say, they can do it in the calculus thing”. Some aspects are made in a naively-innocent manner at start to cause a bigger shock on the viewer later on, but that self-proclaimed ignoring the very basics of logic by the creators can’t make you happy. However, hopefully, this problem will get a descent solution in the sequel (too many hopes for this autumn, don’t you think?). In the current state, it’s betwixt and between.
But excuse me; there is a thing I should praise over and over in this series – the technical part. The opening and the ending bring up only the most pleasant emotions, without making me feel like turning the volume off or closing my eyes. The girls are drawn in line with the K-ON! Standard, which is actually not bad. But the thing I liked most is the background music in the last episode, it has all the rights to hog into my everyday playlist. The impression could be worsen by the acting part, but that’s not happening – everything is on par. Without a doubt, it’s a plus.
At the outlet, we have one really enjoyable anime, which has its own charm and style, despite the main idea’s triviality and platitude. It’s of that stuff which makes itself by its way of showing off some nice picture and storytelling (the first half), then suddenly starting surprising you (the second half). That’s why you can ignore some flaws of it.
6/10, it was a pleasure to meet you.

…it’d be a mistake saying that I haven’t watched something like… like THIS for a long time. Similar series have always been, exist now and will be produced with frightening regularity. This title is that most people associate “anime” with.
The characters are identical. No, seriously, those lame convulsive attempts in showing distinct individuals are done at step “well, there should be a genki, a cooldere, a maid, a moe, an imbecile, a slut… plus a MC-loyal dog, a muscular kern…” – they are missing out only a normal tsundere. Moreover, these guys are so inexpressive, that you can easily confuse one with another. Confuse a
...
woman with a man. Villains are canonically-overextended, and do canonically repent, receive their forgiveness. It’s a minus, a very big one.
It goes without saying they all live in a “you know, one standard fantasy world, that has magickas, elffs… errr, I mean dragons” (by the way, an anthropomorphical spectral dragon is so cool). Some kind of the “Eru”(El) flows around the world, and it’s used mostly for giving life to mechanical lolies. Also it creates beautiful meteor showers. Some kind of monsters appear. Yeah. Right. The only bad thing is that the society is retarded, but everything is won-der-ful. Another minus.
However, this show has its certain beauty. First, GRAFICS. Agnes fap-fap-fap. Those voices make me puke, it’s good that the washbowl is always near. Minette’s voice especially made me getting a vicious dump. The OP&ED give the same impression. EDs, by the way, do change, and thus the emitting vomit is different. A plus for Agnes and her handmade dolls.
There’s no logic in it, but thank you. From time to time they actually try to explain things, just to get the attempts stomped by concrete and straightforward fanservice, the one that makes me dive into the filled washbowl. No one has any motivation at all (yeah, at first the Great Villain was trying to make sense, but eventually stopped that and became “good’). The humor is mostly based on “l00k, the siblings are talking shit, LOL”or “GOOOLEM” (well, this is kinda funny). I have a strong feeling that the connections between episodes were made up during a mortal hangover. If that’s the case, I go stand up and applaud. But it’s a minus, actually.
Now’s my favorite part – the story itself. You know, it kina exists. And kinda not. The minute is starts to appear, say, Minette goes to the market. Or say the Great Villain makes his appearance, threatening everyone – the next episode starts off a celebration on something. “The chance for you to succeed is less than 1%”, as it’s stated in the final – and it’s obvious that instead everything runs like clockwork. “mamoru nakama” all the time. “I’ll save everyone”, my ass. And he does. Some characters are only for show… well, not “some” – everyone but two. And those two are the most plain and stupid. The story itself negates all the attempts of getting a grasp of it. It the authors had a goal of making one incoherent ravings, they did a perfect job. Somehow, I’m in a doubt on that, thus one more minus.
To sum everything up… I watched this only an episode a month, because I have only three washbowl at my house. And they have to be cleaned up after each session. However, the overall impression isn’t that bad – I was dying from a handover a week ago, and felt much more sick. Maybe it’s all because of me overdosing myself with too much pure alcohol. Anyway, this was a great torture for choosing a bad anime. As if I didn’t know that coming. I even can’t compliment this on anything except Agnes.
3/10, yet the real mark is two – thank one cute little girl for that.

Okay now, here we have a Persona series clone, merged with some Venus Versus Virus… well, that seemed interesting for me, so I’ve decided to watch this (especially after reading some good reviews, telling me not to think it has connections to Madoka).
Story – 5
The actual story begins on the eighth episode, and all I can say is it’s pretty twisted and has LOTS of loose ends in it, like the opposite tarot cards having no actual meaning (it it present as something really important and dangerous in the series, but it resulted just in a lost possibility of making cool explanation); I really did
...
like the first 7 episode, each of them has its own plot and tells us about different people and their feelings… the eighth episode itself is touching and is probably the best in the show, after that all we get is “Humans Versus Shadows”, which is somewhat predictable and… casual.
Art – 8
Yep, I loved the artwork, the battle scenes were quite something (although they did look like Persona 3’s boss fights mostly…) and the scenery at whole was picturesque and worth seeing. The characters could be drawn better. Much better. All those sample faces again, bad-looking figures… Seira looked pretty, at least, like Konata from Lucky Star. Oh, and the final fight looked insignificant and cheap.
Sound – 9
If only the story was as good as the sound, I’d have been very happy. OP caused my heart to tremble, the seiyus were doing their best even during the hardest parts… I could understand those people’s feeling very well cause of that fact. I’ve expected more of BGM, and my expectations failed a bit, leaning me disappointed… I gotta listen to the OP song once again.
Characters – 3
They say there are characters. More than that, they say there are twenty two girls fighting together. As we can see throughout the series, there are actually four, plus two, adding three and two more, making it 9. The characters are cliché, even the main four. Well, I liked Ginka’s style of fighting with money ([C] anime will teach you on that). Akari is a way inconsistent and is yet another a-girl-that-makes-the-world-go-round, but no complaints on this one. The antagonist seemed interesting and having a reasonable goal, but… They also say there are some mysterious beings observing the scene and moving their pawn like in a chess game, but we did not happen to see them. We oughta believe that they exist… what a pain, no more twists please.
Enjoyment – 9
Regardless of the bad points, this anime got my attention, and it probably will come to liking for you. Why? It’s about cute girls fighting viru… errr, I mean Daemonia, they face RELLY serious obstacles, mostly psychological and emotional, they think on what’s being right or wrong, they hang out and have some spare time… Yet it has blood, minor gore and almost NSFW content… If only the plot was more interesting…
Overall – 7
It was my fault I didn’t notice this anime while it was still airing… I’ve acquired a bunch of wonderful memories of it upon watching, and I could bear the weaknesses (even have agreed with the ending, whoa); it may not be the best anime ever, but it is not inferior either, my verdict – recommended to watch, especially if you are into magical girls (Madoka ^^),Tarot cards or exploring ones’ hearts.

Well then, what should I begin with?
Story – 9
Are you used to stories which are good-for-nothing? [C] is something better than that. Let’s say money rules the world, and there’s a parallel space where all the money flows are controlled and resolved by a Persona-style fighting, ain’t this sounds cool? The plot also is about settling what is more important – the present or the future? The story develops somehow similar to the one in Guilty Crown, bringing up more and more questions… making the viewer think and jump to their own conclusions. But the logic is leaking a bit, and hence 9/10.
Art – 7
The
...
first episode is marvelous, with all that great artwork and animations; the battle scenes are fascinating too… the characters lack originality (except for some figures, to be honest), alongside with the backgrounds. I was expecting to get more detailed images, really, but the current level will do too.
Sound – 8
The music is just fine, and it does help creating the right mood. The sounds, however, are somewhat lame, as well as the bright and optimistic ending song. Overall, I’m not impressed but relieved.
Characters – 10
The protagonist is, surprisingly, a simple university student, thinking about getting by and, but as the time flows, he is really growing up, changing himself and his perception of the world around him… Even though he is a slowpoke when it comes to making a decision, he does everything it takes to choose the best answer, shaping the reality the way he wants it to be. Moreover, each other character has their own detailed background and their own reasons as well, and I can’t help but sympathy them, even if they have completely different ideals. ”I’m a businessman first, then I’m a parent”, as one implies… personally, I know a lot of people thinking this way too, that’s why I can tell the characters are more that realistic and interesting, without lots of clichés (That cabin driver… what are you? Cain from VtM? Igor from Persona? Really cool, you know). Plus there’s no certain villain amongst humans in series, which is rare and great.
Enjoyment – 5
After all, it was… plain. I have almost started yawning by the last episodes. Like, the authors couldn’t come up with more breathtaking moments then the beginning had. And if you want to about economics in an entertaining way, you may receive the same joy off a simple textbook. An anime full of adventures must be more… lively. And seriously, the opening is full of spoilers.
Overall – 7
This anime has as many interesting ideas as borrowing from other series and stuff like that. Is it bad? Who knows. It resembles me of a bunch of things I like, though, and I can’t help but say this anime is worth seeing once in awhile, if you don’t mind watching something truly unusual. The end is really a something too.
It goes without saying that economy is an inseparable and indestructible part of our life. Can one prove this wrong?
