Why hello there....welcome to MAL, 8 year animanga vet and can't wait for more stories to consume ๐ค Always looking to make friends and talk about peak! Add me anytime ๐
Putting gojo on my favorite is a inside joke between my friend and I. I find him cringe
As for the series, everything is soulless. Literally everything both manga and anime.
I am surprised someone visited my page. For that I appreciate you lol
I've read the manga of Dandadan and it's really amazing. It's a wacky Shounen with over the top unhinged stuff. The anime is splendid so far, I'd recommend that.
As for Blue box, I initially thought I won't like it much but I absolutely loved the first episode and I'm hooked now. It's a rom-com anime first and secondarily a sports anime. The sports is mainly a means to show character development. I recommend both Blue box and Dandadan.
I 100 percent agree with what you said. JJK had the potential to be even better with a proper ending. Like you said, so many loose ends, Kenjaku's grudge never explained, No Sukuna backstory, Everyone miraculously surviving except Gojo lmao ๐.
Like you said, Initially when I started JJK, The beginning and middle portion was superb, Especially the Shibuya stuff but as the Sukuna fight dragged on, It kept getting progressively worse. And In probably in the minority here but I think even Gege's drawings got somewhat rough. Like you said, Even Hakari's fight wasn't shown and that Ice guy Uraume, what was his role in all this.
Lastly the last panel of the manga where Sukuna says maybe he could have chosen a different path (That part was legit good but it was hard to process since Gege never gave us Sukuna's backstory).
Every great Villain has a backstory, Aizen, Madara etc just to name some.
Like you said, Gege could make a sequel but I'm not sure. It makes me wonder why he rushed the ending since JJK is one of the most popular manga right now, What made him decide to rush it so much. We could have easily had 100 more chapters. Not to mention Itadori has to be one of the worst developed Shounen main characters. Even Midoriya from My hero had better development and I think MHA had a better ending than JJK lol. I gave JJK a 9 initially but dropped it to an 8 due to the ending stuff, It's a solid manga and definitely the anime can rectify some stuff and they'll capitalize on the Gojo Vs Sukuna fight so much (Easy money for em).
Bleach as a series is way above JJK, I know Gege took inspiration but let's be honest, Bleach was and still is iconic. That's how you know a series was good.
Hey, Jujutsu Kaisen ended. What's your thoughts on the ending?
I personally wasn't too fond of it. It was alright. The last few chapters of the manga weren't that great tbh. The ending was unsatisfactory, not only I was left unsatisfied with Sukuna's story arc (wish he got his backstory arc) but I was also unsatisfied with Yuki's character development. Overall, JJK was always a hype manga and it had it's moments but without the hype factor, JJK wasn't anything special imo.
People comparing it to Bleach but Imo, Bleach is way way better as a series and had a better ending personally.
Yeah Naruto was supposed to get some new episodes but they got delayed alot. Haha yeah, The character designs in One piece are really wacky but they make sense in the universe.
Yeah you can read the manga at your own pace. It has over 100 volumes currently so if you read even one volume a day (sometimes you'll read more than one) then you can enjoy the journey and catch up in a relaxing manner without any rush.
Also, the new Wit studio anime will be really amazing for old and new fans alike so I recommend you watch that whenever it arrives. Also Btw, There's a Netflix live action show of One piece and It's honestly a really great adaptation of the anime and manga and a great introduction. You can watch that if the anime seems too much and then just start reading the manga.
Tbh, When I watched One piece, I was fresh out of college and had 3-4 months in spare and not much responsibilities back then so I could binge 25-30 EPs per day (Crazy, I know lol). I'm talking about 2015-16 times. Nowadays with my schedule, I can barely even watch 24 episodes anime, let alone 100 EPs.
Glad I caught up to One piece back then because the me of now would struggle alot ๐
Buuuuuuut, The manga is superior, in terms of pacing and everything. There are plenty of users online who only read the manga and just watch the important moments animated. That's also a viable way I guess.
Either way, You should definitely read it at some point because it's ending will shake the entire anime community. It has been running for 25+ years so you can imagine the effects it's ending will have.
I can picture people 5 years from now, Watching One piece after hearing about it's ending and tbh that will ruin the experience. Because One piece has always been about the journey, if you already know the ending then it will affect your enjoyment I think.
TLDR : Now's the best time to start One piece. It's gonna end in 3-4 years and your future self will thank you for spending your 4 years with it.
One piece is a journey, I personally started One piece in 2015 and back then I started with the anime only since its very iconic. After catching up with the anime, then I started reading the manga weekly and also read it from the beginning. I think I read all of One piece during COVID (Had seen the anime but the manga is just as amazing if not more amazing so I had to read). It took me 30 days to read it all, From chapter 1 to 1000. One piece chapters are short and there's official coloured version available uptil chapter 800 or something. Point is, I read it during my final year of uni lol and had such a blast.
But if you ask me, I think every new fan should start with the anime first, although the manga is better and faster, there's something about the anime and it does have a whole lotta episodes lol. Definitely one of the best series you will ever invest your time into because its just so larger than life and nows the best time to catch up. It's expected to end in 3-4 years (the manga) and there was also a remake anime announced. By Wit studio, Imagine an airing anime getting a remake, Two entries of the same anime, Blows your mind lmao. One piece is extremely huge in Japan and now in west aswell.
Definitely watch or read at your own pace, It will take you several months to watch the anime, So just watch 5-6 EPs per day, or even 10.
You'll catch up in a few months and you'll be very invested since the story is in its final culmination phase right now.
Hopefully we're alive to witness the end of Berserk and also, more importantly One piece. That reminds me, have you seen or read One piece?
Because it is THE best anime/manga currently. The day One piece ends is gonna be a historical one for the anime/manga industry.
After the Author's passing, The chapters have been releasing very slow. Once every 6 months or 3 months. It's a very slow rate but atleast they releasing new chapters. The guy who's in charge now was a close friend of Kentaro Moira and he said that he can finish Berserk in 10 years or so. It's sad that one of the best stories in fiction is getting this treatment but atleast slow and steady it will get finished someday for sure. It's not on Hiatus, just very slow chapter releases.
I'm almost finished with the Soul eater manga btw, it's way better than the anime. If the anime was a 7 then the manga is an 8. It's nothing special but still a good read.

You seen Uzumaki? It's getting alot of hate due to inconsistent animation and weird pacing.
