A very funny and patriotic manga.
The story takes place in 1863, presenting the Shinsengumi and its four members, a group of samurai of the Tokugawa era that was responsible of the security of Kyoto and the country back then. Our 4 protagonists are then having a time travel and arrive at our era and are exhausted and terrified of what Japan has became.
Story 7/10
A pretty good story, the Shinsengumi will be either chased by the government or either trying to restablish a non-degenerate Japan with no Americanized culture, the manga also shows us how japanese people have become weak throughout time and lost their values.
...
There is also a lot of bad talk against america and promotes of nationalistic japanese ideas (and it's extremely funny while also being based somehow lmao)
art 8/10
I really like the fact that he drew typical and stereotypical faces of japanese people from 200 years ago, not the kind of faces you would see in a kpop boys band or in an anime, but rather the kind of faces you would end up having a battle with in a bar in the middle of Osaka while being drunk, hard men sputtering, yelling and threatening everyone, the general art is pretty good.
Characters 8/10
The characters all have their own kind of personality, there is the big dumb guy only thinking about pleasures and getting angry easily, the leader one having all the ideas and setting up everything, the smart one, etc, they are all funny and interesting in some way.
Enjoyment 7/10
the first volumes are excellent, but I must confess that around the 4th volume I started to yawn a bit, not because of the story itself but because this is the kind of story that has to be finished quickly, but there are only 2 volumes left, so that was alright.
Overall:
I recommand this manga to you if you want to have a laugh some day, the settling is very interesting and it is cool to see how samurais from back then would actually react in our era. Also if you like Japan for its culture and history and that you are kinda depressed to see how Japan has fallen into degeneracy, hentais, animes, porn companies, sex toys and other kind, then this manga might make you feel understood.

An excellent beginning, but every volume is the same.
6 volumes, 51 chapters so far, I decided to stop, I really loved the first 2 volumes and was really excited for the scenario to become more interesting, but in 6 volumes all they do is chasing after kaijus all the time, there isn't really important turns, at some point the "society" discovers that Kafka is actually a Kaiju, they test him like in most stereotypical shonens, like Eren being a titan etc.. and then once he is accepted as an ally the story could have changed, but no, after this "pause", it just went back to
...
the same shitty scenario of killing kaijus all the time, the story doesn't progress at all and it's all about fights, all pages are drawings, not that good, of fighters and kaijus beating out each other... the characters are barely interesting and their background isn't catching at all and it feels extremely unoriginal, for example in the last volume I just read today, volume 6
we can see one of the characters' memories about her mom, saying that when she'll grow up and become a kaiju fighter herself, mom will be there to protect her, guess what happens next page? She died, of course, not predictable AT ALL.
So yeah.. in the end I don't recommend this manga because it's a waste of time and money. Every chapters feel the same, a Kaiju appears, the anti-kaiju society fights it, Kafka beats it, and then it starts again.

I know it's kind of useless to do a review since no one will see it, but since it's my favorite manga/anime from my heart, I had to make a review about it..
STORY 5/10
As you probably know it, Fairy Tail's story/stories is/are pretty much all the same template and they're not really original.... it's pretty mediocre, but depsite this, I find the characters' ambitions and personalities very interesting.
ART 8/10
Now we enter the first argument why Fairy Tail is actually a GOOD anime!
The characters designs, the universe, the powers, I love everything about this anime! If I wanted to live into an anime, it would be
...
fairy tail, guilds, magic, the european fantasy culture, also, every culture has its own design which represent his character, similar to JoJo
SOUND 9/10
I never heard anyone complaining about the osts of Fairy Tail, they're all excellent and again, culturally, they make you feel into an inn or into a european fantasy world
CHARACTERS 10/10
That's why fairy tail fans exist. One Piece may have hundreds of characters, but they're not all together in the same time, if Fairy Tail has managed to do something original and unique, it's its heartwarming characters that you get attached to it, if Undertale is the game that you become friends with its characters, then Fairy Tail is its anime/manga version. I really want to see Erza and Jellal kiss, I really want to follow Happy and Natsu into their new adventures, I really want to see them coming back to the guild, doing a mess and getting yelled at by the master, being encouraged and seen as heros/powerful mages during the tournament, characters are lovely, epic, and all have a really well made personality, they are really realistic, interesting and numerous. I fell in love with these characters, with this guild, with Fairy Tail.
ENJOYMENT 9/10
Now this is a bit more personal, I really enjoyed it because even if it has a lot of fan service, it's well maid and not stupid like in other animes, they don't seem like kids, which I really despise like for example in Demon Slayer where the humour is terrible, weeb, and annoys me. But here, even if they are immature, they behave more likely like teens, and it's much more funnier, beside that, even if the story is mediocre, it's still entertaining and the characters are interesting and mysterious.
OVERALL 8/10
I heard too many times that Fairy Tail was the worst anime ever made, that it was awful, ridiculous and that everything else was better. What a stupid joke... it's very tiring and not justified enough, people who say that generally speaking never watched it and I feel like Fairy Tail became the punching ball of everyone. I've seen worst, and I can tell that fairy tail has an amazing universe, amazing characters, and a shitty story, but good fights and overall, it's better than the average anime which is 7/10.

A lot of mangas clichés, annoying, and kinda silly, but the drawings are still good, and it's quite original at some points, it's not something I would buy but reading it is not unpleasuring. I rated it average/fine, I hope people won't be hating on me cause I'm just giving an objective review of it (it's a friend who made me read it), maybe it could change over time, but first bad thing: The classmates enter the world, and they don't even ask themselves why they're here, they are already contemplating at their statistics and sharing them with their friends.
Second bad thing, the story and
...
dialogues are quite immature, it feels to childish and most of it is pointless.
And third, there's a lot of clichés like there's a tsundere elf blond haired girl with red eyes, a giant cat named ''night'' in Japanese just because his furr is black... well lots things that could characterize a story written by a kid with barely any imagination or originality, otherwise as I said it has nice drawings, and what's original into it is that the main protagonist isn't the hero but a secondary character, and he's not a swordman or something like that but an assassin, which is quite cool.
