Im and Toilet bound's hanako kun are both mangas talking about country's folklore about the ancient egyptian religion, gods and myths for Im, and the shinto religion and Japan's myths and scary stories. Both are taking place in a modern environment involving spirit boys who will guide a girl through their adventures. If you like mythology and world's cultures, you will definitely enjoy both of them!

Tenshi no Tamago

Both of these animes are intellectual and meant to be interpreted their own way, they leave much questions left after the show has ended and are not that great in the plot but much more interesting in the message behind. I am sure that anyone who appreciates one of these movies will appreciate the other one.

If you like ambient sounds, little or almost no music, original story that let you a free space to think by yourself of the meaning of the series/movie, that makes you dream about fantasy then Tenshi no Tamago/Mushishi is perfect for you. Although they are VERY different on all points I thought that people that liked one kind would like the other.

It really has the same spirit. It's really chilling and the humour is quite the same, of course, in Gokushufudou, there isn't fights like in OPM, but it still has the same kind of style and slices of life if you read/watch One Punch Man for the humour and the fact that Saitama doesn't have any powers

- The universe is the same, almost everything is urbanized with different zones - there is kaijus invading these towns in both mangas - there is an association of heros / people to destroy the Kaijus - the character suddenly earn a gigantic power out of nowhere and has to hide it - IT'S FREAKING BADASS

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 5: Ougon no Kaze

Honestly, I feel like there's a lot of similarities between JoJo and One Piece, I didn't realise it until now, but now that I think about it, here's a lot of similarities: - The characters have surexagerated and crazy personalities - the stands and the devil fruits share very similar powers such as shiro shiro no mi and bad company - there's dumb and weird characters, but also very serious antagonists such as dealers, mafia bosses, characters that want to conquer the world, to be the perfect form of life - There's a VERY STRONG friendship between characters, while one piece is a little less mature and talks about ''nakama'' and friendship like this, JoJo talks more with adults and teens about a friendship like cowboys and gang partners, but those two friendship are made of trust of each other, no matter what he says to do, and their friendship in both animes are built alongside the journey.

Gokushufudou

As someone who consider both GTO and Gokushufudou as two of his favorites mangas on 5, I can tell that Gokushufudou and GTO, although being completely different with a different character, are in the same spirit. If Onizuka is shocking by what he dares to do, then Onizuka is shocking by what he dares to say. Both characters take completely crazy decisions that make the reader think ''what the hell is he doing ?!'' ''he's going to kill her'', to in fact realise, that, he was just trying to do something nice. Both are very funny mangas with an humor based on the shock and the realisation that ''it's not that bad'' But I must warn you, GTO is way more brutal and vulgar, with sexual and teens/young adults jokes, cigarettes, alcohol, etc. So if that's what you search into Gokushufudou, you're wrong, it's even the complete inverse, while GTO tries to show you a philosophy like ''fuck off, do whatever you want'' the message of Gokushufudou is way more mature and tells a lot about moral, like don't smoke, be sure to pay the right price, etc.

Why is no one talking about the spirit of the anime ? Both are in a celtic and european fantasy universe, with dragons, demons, taking place in places inspired by France, Britain, and Ireland, Germany, it's very medieval and represent well the culture of the time, with inns, guilds, forests, fairies, demons, dragons, etc

Food Wars is Dr.Stone with cooking and Dr.Stone is Food Wars with technology. Those two animes are extremely similar, each episode, you're presented a new recipe/invention, and everything is explained about it, its concept, its taste/effect, its author/conceptor, everything is well detailed, explained and drawn, I highly recommand both of those animes if you liked any of these two.

In each of these two episodes, there's a new fight introducing new techniques. Each character has its own abilities: A stand / or the abilities of a certain animal/insect, unfortunately compared to JoJo, the enemies are not very different, they may have different techniques but they're all cockroaches, but every fights are interesting thanks to the abilities of each character, they can improve with time, the story in both are mysterious like who created the mask/evolved the cockroaches ? Who put the mask here/who put the cockroaches on Mars ? So if you like any of these two animes, you might find the same system and same feeling in both of them.

If you like Jojo's bizarre adventure, Food wars is made for you. If Jojo is about fights and stands, then food wars is about cooking battle and ustensils, in each Jojo episode there is a new fighter with a new stand, and each character must use their abilities to face the adversary. Well this is exactly the same in Shokugeki no Soma, in each episode, there's a new battle, of course the main characters use different techniques, like Jotaro's and Polnareff's stands can use their environment, or anything, cookers can use different tools, different casseroles, ovens, sauces, spices, ingredients, each character has his own abilities like there's an indian guy specialised into spices, an american girl specialized into meat, a girl specialized into physically modified food, a guy that copies you to upgrade what you do into a better version, and in the same way stands have music group differences, every character has a reference over a real tool AND cooking, for example there's often french and italian ustensils and recipes. Also the characters and the story are very interesting and treat about subjects like, does the gastronomy need rules or should it be completely free as long as it tastes good ? The anime is beautiful, full of colors and absolutely greatly animated, so if you like Jojo you should definitely try Shokugeki no Soma/Food Wars !!
