STORY - 7
The storyline is simple and easy to follow. A girl whose family owns a pastry shop wants to be a sushi chef and a boy whose family owns a sushi restaurant wants to be a pastry chef.. Can you honestly say you have heard of many stories like this? Mixed Vegetables manages to not only tell a love story but also a story about two young students who are passionate about their dreams. As a hardcore fan of shoujo manga, I do have to admit that I am mainly here for the romance aspect. However, Mixed Vegetables focuses on the main characters' striving
...
to reach their goals, which I find refreshing.
ART - 9
The art is typical shoujo manga style.. Therefore, it is very girly and all the characters are "cute." I am honestly amazed at some of the colored cover illustrations. The mangaka did a pretty good job at drawing real life objects, such as the cakes and sushi that you will be seeing in every single chapter.
CHARACTER - 7
The two main characters, Hanayu and Hayato, are simple-minded characters (like the rest). As the story progresses, the two characters do develop and somewhat matures as they reach for their goals. All of the characters are likable in their own way. I adore how each family contributes to the growth of the main characters and how each character has an opinion on the subject of pursuing one's dream.
ENJOYMENT - 8
Before I started reading Mixed Vegetables, I was just looking for a cute and sweet romance to read. I was tired of reading stories about love triangles and love-crazy girls, so Mixed Vegetables definitely did the trick for me.
It was a light read although it did lack complexity and was not the least bit realistic. I enjoyed reading this manga. I was able to finish this in less than a day actually. Another thing to appreciate is that the problems that came up were usually resolved quickly. NOTE: This manga will not result in any wrinkles or lack of sleep.
OVERALL - 7
Mixed Vegetables has brought up an interesting question: What is more important.. your love (for family and for a significant other) or your dreams? As the main characters struggle through this question, I find myself cheering for them on. Mixed Vegetables is certainly not the best manga out there, but it can teach you a little something about achieving one's dream.
Basically, if you get annoyed of cheezy stories, stay away.. BUT if you want to take a break from all those drama-filled, tear-jerker stories, you should try reading Mixed Vegetables.

(I thought I should type up a review for this because no one made one yet. Skip to OVERALL part if you want a straight-to-the-point opinion)
My 2nd manga review:
STORY - 6
We mainly see a girl who strives to get better at magic, and trying to reach her precious prince. Simple storyline and no major conflict here. This is honestly not the least bit realistic, but hey.. there is no problem with that because this is fantasy. Not a very original concept either with magicians and magical stones.. and the whole "I fell in love with the prince" idea.. This is pretty
...
much all there is to it, which makes the story somewhat vague, but for 2 volumes, the job is done pretty well since it is easy to understand. No complex, deep, touching stories and I suppose that is good because I do not want the mangaka to start something that would only end up falling short. :)
ART - 7
The art is nice and simple. Typical shoujo style. Nothing really new because I probably have seen at least 1 character from some other manga who looks about the same for each of these characters. I've seen better AND I've seen worse, so no complaints here. There are bishounens, and the background is standard. The artwork can most definitely improve tons.
CHARACTER - 6
The characters are cute. We all get like a miniature description of each character. There is not a whole lot about one character where we can feel his/her own individuality. No serious character development either. They are cliche, but there's nothing really wrong with that. In short-- I hate none, I love none, nor can I really relate/sympathize with one.
ENJOYMENT - 7
It is a fun read. I have always liked the whole "romance, fantasy, comedy" into-one-darn-thing-kind of stories. I mean.. it is not really ha-ha funny, but the jokes are supposedly there. It is a rather "loose" read with zero intensity.. But it's not a slice-of-life. Just another shoujo read to pass time.
OVERALL - 7
It is a cute manga with a mix of simple & cliche items. Not my favorite (and not even CLOSE), but there is absolutely nothing wrong with this manga. I mean it's filled with cheeziness & the whole plot flows on coincidences only, but hey.. That's how most (shoujo) stories go, anyway. It's not particularly heart-warming. However, The Lapis Lazuli Crown have left with me a smile, so props.
Thank you for reading this review. Hope it helps, even a bit. ^^

If you want a short + straight answer, feel free to skim or just skip to the "OVERALL" part. :) My 2nd anime review:
STORY- 7
Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi has a stable storyline, which really just involves a group of high school kids called the Otogi Bank who fulfill students' requests. And in exchange for helping them out, their client has to owe them some sort of favor. Not an entirely exciting, nor original concept, but I do enjoy how this anime have a bit of a fairytale-like theme to it.. --mixed in with romance, action, comedy, drama, and even anime references
...
(such as Zero no Tsukaima & To Aru no Railgun). The story doesn't progress too much from there, and they continue on each & every episode about helping a new client. It also often focuses the episodes on telling us more of the characters' past.. or more development on the romance between Ryouko & Ryoushi.
ART- 9
The animation is rather fantastic in this. I adore the cutesie looking character, despite the fact that they overdo it sometimes. Lots of pretty girls.. and several decent-looking guys. No complaints here.
SOUND- 8
Many famous + talented voice actrors/actresses we can recognize from here, like Irino Miyu (Syaoran-Tsubasa Chronicles), Itou Kanae (Amu-Shugo Chara!), Toyosaki Aki (Yui-K-On!), Kugimiya Rie (Shana & Taiga & Louise), Horie Yui (Yuuki- VK & Minori-Toradora!), and tons more. They are very well-suited for their roles, so no complaints here, either. I absolutely LOVE the narrator who's very much amusing through-out the series, giving us info. & random comments. ( I'm sure her voice will ring a bell, too.) The opening (sung by May'n-- also known as Sheryl from Macross Frontier) & ending themes are good, but nothing memorable, nor catchy.
CHARACTER- 8
There are a lot of development with the main characters and even the side characters' development. Lots of the characters' type are cliche, and we've seen them one too many thems. In this case, I don't mind because all the characters are entertaining. I must say that our main guy, despite being that same-o "plain" guy-type, he has 1 original aspect: phobia at being looked/stared at. With that, he is no longer that cliche "nice" & "average" guy. All the characters are to a satisfactory level. I like ALMOST all of them. :]
ENJOYMENT- 8
I really did enjoyed watching this series. It was possibly my favorite 2010 Summer anime. I laughed, and I may even have cried..(or maybe not..my memories are kinda blurry) for this one certain scene. Each episode were amusing, and a few of the stories seriously touched my heart.
OVERALL- 8
I think it is TRULY worth-watching. Not the best series.. Actually, FAR from it (it is what to be expected from a 12-episodes anime). But it has some pretty darn good contents. Give it another season, and Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi might turn into something BIGGER. I also will give it props for not turning this into another harem.. which is kinda surprising (considering how a HUGE majority of the characters are females). A few light fanservice here & there, but I won't label this series ecchi.
Thank you for reading. Hope it helps even if just the tiniest bit. ^^

This is my 1st anime review, so sorry if it's not that well-stated. Also, sorry if it's too long (it's hard to NOT type more when there are so much in this series). Feel free to just skim through it, and maybe skip to the "OVERALL" part if you don't want much details.
STORY- 8
The story is rather interesting + unique to me. The thought of a "marriage game" may seem kinda cheezy, but the story goes WAY more deeper than that. For a reverse harem, it actually satisfies me somewhat. It has romance, drama, mysteries, political strategies, action (Oh. NOT hardcore stuff,
...
like fighting ghosts and whatnot, but just fighting + guns, basically), and hey.... eventually, you might even find the tiniest bit of comedy towards the end (they are more like "inside"-kind of jokes, though, because you literally have to watch through the series, and know the characters to be able to understand the very little humor in this).
ART- 7
The art is standard to me, and sometimes, I have noticed that the characters appear kinda "stiff." Not the typical sparkly-pretty. The artwork looks rather old-fashioned, and frankly, I didn't like it very must at first. Of course, I can't blame it because the manga was actually published somewhere in the late 1980's (which I just recently looked it up online). Why would they have an anime broadcast all of a sudden? Beats me. ----The thing that stands out to me are the EYES. It's like the moods are pretty much portrayed in them. The backgrounds are also very nice with a "classic"- feel to it. And.... Oh. Yes. THERE ARE BISHOUNENS. :D
SOUND- 7
I think the voice actors/actresses have done their jobs well. I could feel the strength in their voice during those serious, dramatic moments. (NOTE: There are only 1 op + ed songs through-out the ENTIRE series) The opening is.... well~ nice, and I think what has won me over is the ending theme. Although, maybe it's just because I'm easily taken by those kind of sappy songs.
CHARACTER- 9
This is the high-point of the series for me. The characters are absolutely BEAUTIFULLY portrayed, especially the main ones. Their backgrounds, and how they interact with each other really bring out the GOOD-NESS in their personalities. They have.... ONE WORD: depth. Kajika is strong-willed, brave, reckless, and inexperience, but what I find weird is how.... understanding she could be at times. She's unique in that way. (I will not be going over all of the boys' personalities, but I do suggest of you to find that out yourself ) At first, some characters are rather dull, but I think it just takes time for them to come through. ~I'm sure you'll love all of them (or most). They are likable.
ENJOYMENT- 9
I really enjoyed watching this 39 episodes- series. It have put me like at the edge of my seat more times than I can remember!! They sure do know how to build-up suspense. I, literally, looked forward to watching this every week (maybe above all of the other on-going anime). The length of it was not too short where it made you crave for more, nor was it too long and dragged out everything. I may be just a sucker for reverse harems and shoujo with romance.. and bishounens and whatnot, but everything put together in this anime was what made it memorable for me.
OVERALL- 9
I'll say it flat-out: HANASAKERU SEISHOUNEN is a wonderful series. It's original in pretty much every aspects, and inspirational/sweet. It may even be one of my favorite. However, I do (regretingly) not recommend it if you don't like mysteries, romance, serious drama, etc.. Well~ Even for someone like me, who knows like nothing about political stuff, I find it to be extremely entertaining. Just give it some time, and I'm sure you'll like it.
----NOTE: I may have overrated this just the tiniest bit because it's still fresh in my memories. Thank you for reading. ^^ I hope this helps, even if a little.

This is my 1st review, so sorry if it's not that well-stated.
I just read St. Lunatic High School for the 2nd time about half an hour ago, and I felt like writing a review. :]
STORY- 7
The plot is very basic. A normal(human) girl ends up going to a school with unique creatures/demons. It doesn't develop too much from there, but still enjoyable enough. One thing that bothers me is how it leaves me kinda confused because it does not go into details. I'm not sure if it's really that simple and I'm expecting
...
a lot, or that in only 2 volumes, they leave only that much revealed. Some turn-out of things because of a stupid cause disappointed me (which I won't state what because that's for our readers to find out). Well~ It is not perfect, but I still think this story is touching and sweet. :)
NOTE: This manga is ABSOLUTELY HORROR FREE, even though it states so in the information. There's really nothing scary about it. You will find it more cute than scary, actually.
ART- 8
The art is simple, clean, and cute. It can go into extra details on the background in special scenes. None of the characters are really that "ugly", but it's not like Full Moon wo Sagashite, where all the characters has so many details on the hair and is all pretty and stuff. I can't find anything really wrong with it. Though, I, weirdly, have mistaken the genders of characters. There are 3 guys that I got confused over whether they are guys or girls. I'm not sure if it is just me or what....? o.O Probably not the best in the world, but the graphics are satisfying overall.
CHARACTER- 7
Pretty much all of the characters are like-able. They have simple personality that you would kinda be able to just tell what are their roles in the story. I don't think you would be able to REALLY hate any of them in particular. Dislike? Maybe. Get annoyed? A bit. One of the things that I like is how easy their names are to remember(though, there are not that may characters with a name to begin with). For example: The 2 main characters, Niko and Ren. You'll be able to remember it within the 1st scene they appear. The characters are not very original because don't you think you've seen someone like this before: a cute, cheerful, strong-willed, compatible girl and the cool guy with natural talents that is kinda hard to tell what the heck is he thinking.
ENJOYMENT- 7.5(rounded to 8)
I thought it was fun reading it. There was some romance to keep you entertained (that was bound to happen when you see a cute girl + cool boy on the cover together, so how could they even have horror in it?). There was light comedy that you'll find funny.... or rather bizarre.... (or both.) Fantasy(obviosly), which made it all the more fun seeing. Action (barely or just none because there weren't really any fighting). Adventure (I guess?) if you could count Niko's everyday adventures in her new school life. It had a nice atmosphere to it, and there wasn't any serious drama, so you would be able to just enjoy without worrying that much.
OVERALL- 8
This is a good and satisfying enough manga. It may not be my all-time favorite, but it's definitely memorable that you might want to read it every once in a while if you're bored. The thing I like BEST is probably the main characters, Niko + Ren. So curious of what is going on in this manga? Trying to find a simple, short read? Give this a shot!! (which I would recommend to ALMOST anyone)
Thank you for reading my 1st review, and I hope you're able to get the basic idea that I'm trying to get across about this manga. ^______^
