First of all, let me just say it is TRULY refreshing to read a manga that's willing to use the L word and grapple with the baggage that unfortunately comes with being gay in a straight society. It may just be my preference, but I find it more gratifying to read about ugly realities than fictional perfect worlds, and I can relate better to the characters involved.

This manga starts out so promising, with Ayaka trying to show off to her senpai at work, Hiroko. As of chapter seven, though, I find myself quite displeased with the progress of the story.

Each chapter has Ayaka *flaunting* herself to Hiroko, and sometimes even drunkenly confessing to her. However, Hiroko, herself a lesbian, keeps turning her down because she believes Ayaka to be a "straight" girl. The first two times, it is kind of understandable, I suppose. So I started reading this earlier today and boy, what a mess.

For a bit of context, at the beginning of the whole manga we learn that Hiroko is an older woman working as the boss of Ayaka at some company. Hiroko is a lesbian and a womanizer however she keeps this a secret from her professional work.

Ayaka on the other hand is Hiroko's kouhai and is deeply in love with her. She changed her looks and try every way to make Hiroko fall in love with her.
