Heyo~ It's great to meet another yona fan!! I got the pfp from Treeky_ in 2022's MAL Santa Event
Tyvm for the recs! I'll watch em all!! I keep running out of shows to watch every week 😂
Basilisk seems pretty cool and im really curious abt that huge score drop in S2.
I watched a bit of soul eater back when I started anime, but dropped it cuz I didnt like the art style back then... I think I might enjoy it now.
Wolf's Rain seems pretty interesting as well.
(now that I think abt it, they are all pretty old animes huh...)
I didnt really enjoy golden kamuy... It wasnt bad (from a objective standpoint, I'd say it was very good), but just didnt really catch my interest. I dont think I'd ever continue it unless my preferences change drastically one day.
Anyways, as a thank you, here are some animes that I think u would enjoy~
Horimiya - A very relaxing SoL romance without any needless drama.
Kanata no Astra - An amazing futuristic space adventure with a cast of high schoolers and an overarching mystery.
I was gonna reccommend a lot more, but noticed that u've already got a lot in ur PTW.. Of those, I really recommend Tenki no Ko, Sousou no Frieren and Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara (ofc, the others are really good too. I just especially loved these)
Also, looks like u've not rated bakuman.. Do u plan on continuing it?
I highly recommend keep pushing through. EP1 starts a bit slow for people but it's really good stuff. Gets better and better as it goes on.
The slow burn is mostly for introducing the characters and plot worldbuilding shit. But don't worry, when the ball starts rolling in EP1 shit gets crazy. Trust me on this the series is goated.
EnchantedHeart said: You should play The House in Fata Morgana, one of my fav visual novels, and I'll play one of yours. I've been putting off Umineko for a while but heard it's good
I have Fata Morgana on my PS5 lol. Did about a few hours on it then got sidetracked by other stuff a handful of months ago sadly. Was on the first door or whatever. Will go back to it eventually though.
I see. The characters in Kaiju and Hell's Paradise are generally more likeable/less annoying than the ones in CSM, that's for sure. Feel free to lmk what you think when you do get to them!
Oh just some basic stuff, like how Makima seems to be the big antagonist/villain and the stuff that happens to Aki (Himeno died, the contract he made with the Future Devil, him waving around huge death flags everywhere). From what I've seen, most of the big hype seems to be coming from the manga readers and what's to come. I myself don't think this first season was special, but I think it was a decent setup and shows potential to become great later on. Especially compared to all the other recent big battle shounen, anyways - JJK, Kaiju No. 8, Hell's Paradise - which all are known to only go downhill lol. But yea, hopefully the sequels will live up to the hype.
Lol yeah, I definitely find Denji and Power annoying as well. As far as season one goes, those two don't get any development. I have no idea why they're so popular either. But uhh...in episode 6 you'll probably find someone who's somehow even more annoying than those two. No problem, lmk! Though most of the big stuff happens in ep. 8-9 iirc.
Hehe xD Those kinds of reversed gender trope dynamics are always so amusing.
Hey! I disliked the first 5 episodes of CSM and started enjoying the show from episode 8 onwards since things got a bit more crazy and unpredictable, although there's a lot of gore/shock value and disturbing themes. And the characters don't get any less annoying. The only characters I like are Aki and Makima. So I do think the story gets more interesting later on, but I can't exactly say if it's worth it or not. If you're leaning more on the side of dropping it, I can give you spoilers that might pique your interest, if you'd like.
Oh and I see you have Maomao on your favorites! Glad to see it, she's such an interesting and fun female protagonist. Excited for the second season!
ooo that's good to know, I definitely recommend reading the manga. you can start with the anime and continue with the manga because the animation is very choppy.
oop yeah, the first few arcs are definitely weak. for me, the alabasta arc (which happens around episode 100) was the best so far in terms of fight scenes, drama and scale. you do need a level of commitment to pull through and I never thought I'd muster it up yet here we are. I'm interested to see when I'll burn out.
ooh I've seen the first three seasons of haikyuu. I watched the first at around 2019 and I expected better from it but it improved as it went on. some matches are really good so look forward to them. I also recently caught up to the blue lock manga and it exceeded my expectations, I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I did, I recommend it.
omg, congratulations. I hope you have an easy path ahead of you :) I'm not really worried about missing school but more about lacking the necessary experience and extracurriculars to get to a good university.
nothing much but i started one piece at the beginning of april!!
I never thought it'd happen but here we are.
other than that, everything's been the same. just going through high-school :)

L: Rare to see someone rate FMA higher than Brotherhood.
H: We have negative affinity
