Yeah if I'm being honest, I think Till has a decent chance of still being alive, but Ivan....probably not. I'm very curious on what kind of files Hyuna was downloading. When Round 6 came out, most people believed Hyuna and Mizi were planning to save Ivan and Till, but it seems Hyuna had other plans.
For sure. But at the same time, Luka always seems to enjoy playing around with the others on stage. He's always shown to be calm and smiling, and he even blushed on-stage in Round 7 while Till was clearly having a meltdown. xD Super charismatic but also seems to be some sort of sadist.
It doesn't count as an anime, so most MAL users who've watched Alien Stage probably don't even know it has an entry on MAL. But yes, I'm glad Alien Stage is getting the popularity it deserves. I've rewatched all the videos countless times already and am still absolutely memorized by the beauty of the visuals and songs.
That's definitely the best way to experience it, glad you enjoyed it! Ikr?? Like, in a vast majority of anime, I don't care that much for any of the characters, but it's amazing how Alien Stage has managed to make me like all the characters in such a short amount of time. Round 2 is definitely the most ambiguous, but either way I feel bad for the poor alien guitar he smashed xD Can't blame Till though.
My favorite rounds are definitely Rounds 5 and 6, and my top three favorite songs are Cure, Ruler of My Heart, and Blink Gone. My Clematis is a close fourth. I initially wasn't a big fan of the other songs, but they all grew on me.
I still refuse to believe Ivan or Till are dead. Not until it's 100% confirmed. xD Someone pointed out that Till's earpiece (which tracks his heartbeat) fell out, there has to be a reason for that, right??? It's way too tragic if they died, just like that....T-T Do you have a favorite character?
Oh Alien Stage blew up on Twitter after Round 6 dropped, and like I'd mentioned in my previous post, the creators post new Alien Stage content on their Twitter page every Friday. If you're interested and don't have a Twitter, they also post some of it on their Youtube community page. Their latest post is on Till's childhood backstory, here's an English translation of Part 1 and Part 2.....internally crying. :')
Tbh I'm surprised Alien Stage is even on MAL, but I'm not complaining haha. I guess it'd be more accurate to say a few months between each video, not necessarily six months. But yeah, it's cause Alien Stage is mostly a passion project from two Youtube creators so there's not a set schedule or anything. They usually post new content every Friday on social media - new art, character backstories, lore, short comics of the characters when they were younger, etc. That's what's keeping the fandom sane lol. Anyways, lmk what you think!
Idk, just typical MAL getting things wrong...I'm guessing cause the title of the latest video is "Final," even though it's not the actual final episode. I just made a request for MAL to change it, hopefully they fix it. :x
Heyy!! Ohh I don't remember if I'd mentioned this, but Alien Stage isn't actually an anime. It's a series of Korean animation MVs on YouTube that tell a story through the music. There are 10 videos/episodes, but each is only about 3-4 minutes long so it's a really quick watch. But if you like reading YouTube comments for theories/analyses (though I don't advise reading them until you've watched all 10 first cause of comments with spoilers), then the total time might take another 30 mins haha. I believe the story is barely halfway done, and each video/episode takes around 6 months to come out (quality over quantity!!!) Anyways, here's a YouTube playlist with the correct watch order: Alien Stage Watch Order Playlist.
Heyo~ It's great to meet another yona fan!! I got the pfp from Treeky_ in 2022's MAL Santa Event
Tyvm for the recs! I'll watch em all!! I keep running out of shows to watch every week 😂
Basilisk seems pretty cool and im really curious abt that huge score drop in S2.
I watched a bit of soul eater back when I started anime, but dropped it cuz I didnt like the art style back then... I think I might enjoy it now.
Wolf's Rain seems pretty interesting as well.
(now that I think abt it, they are all pretty old animes huh...)
I didnt really enjoy golden kamuy... It wasnt bad (from a objective standpoint, I'd say it was very good), but just didnt really catch my interest. I dont think I'd ever continue it unless my preferences change drastically one day.
Anyways, as a thank you, here are some animes that I think u would enjoy~
Horimiya - A very relaxing SoL romance without any needless drama.
Kanata no Astra - An amazing futuristic space adventure with a cast of high schoolers and an overarching mystery.
I was gonna reccommend a lot more, but noticed that u've already got a lot in ur PTW.. Of those, I really recommend Tenki no Ko, Sousou no Frieren and Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara (ofc, the others are really good too. I just especially loved these)
Also, looks like u've not rated bakuman.. Do u plan on continuing it?
I highly recommend keep pushing through. EP1 starts a bit slow for people but it's really good stuff. Gets better and better as it goes on.
The slow burn is mostly for introducing the characters and plot worldbuilding shit. But don't worry, when the ball starts rolling in EP1 shit gets crazy. Trust me on this the series is goated.
EnchantedHeart said: You should play The House in Fata Morgana, one of my fav visual novels, and I'll play one of yours. I've been putting off Umineko for a while but heard it's good
I have Fata Morgana on my PS5 lol. Did about a few hours on it then got sidetracked by other stuff a handful of months ago sadly. Was on the first door or whatever. Will go back to it eventually though.
I see. The characters in Kaiju and Hell's Paradise are generally more likeable/less annoying than the ones in CSM, that's for sure. Feel free to lmk what you think when you do get to them!
Oh just some basic stuff, like how Makima seems to be the big antagonist/villain and the stuff that happens to Aki (Himeno died, the contract he made with the Future Devil, him waving around huge death flags everywhere). From what I've seen, most of the big hype seems to be coming from the manga readers and what's to come. I myself don't think this first season was special, but I think it was a decent setup and shows potential to become great later on. Especially compared to all the other recent big battle shounen, anyways - JJK, Kaiju No. 8, Hell's Paradise - which all are known to only go downhill lol. But yea, hopefully the sequels will live up to the hype.
Lol yeah, I definitely find Denji and Power annoying as well. As far as season one goes, those two don't get any development. I have no idea why they're so popular either. But uhh...in episode 6 you'll probably find someone who's somehow even more annoying than those two. No problem, lmk! Though most of the big stuff happens in ep. 8-9 iirc.
Hehe xD Those kinds of reversed gender trope dynamics are always so amusing.
Hey! I disliked the first 5 episodes of CSM and started enjoying the show from episode 8 onwards since things got a bit more crazy and unpredictable, although there's a lot of gore/shock value and disturbing themes. And the characters don't get any less annoying. The only characters I like are Aki and Makima. So I do think the story gets more interesting later on, but I can't exactly say if it's worth it or not. If you're leaning more on the side of dropping it, I can give you spoilers that might pique your interest, if you'd like.
Oh and I see you have Maomao on your favorites! Glad to see it, she's such an interesting and fun female protagonist. Excited for the second season!
