...then you might like Majo no Tabitabi add

Episodic adventures following a travelling character. Characters are both intriguing as they do not follow the usual MC formula. Elaina being slightly more self absorbed and Kino is slightly out of touch with emotions. Both encounter darker themes and life threatening situations. Both look good Both also follow a theme of this city ... then that city. With a very slowly developing underlying plot... however it is not the forefront of the anime. Not the driving force.

...then you might like InuYasha add

Both animes start with a modern day girl being pulled down a well. In Harukanaru she is pulled down with 2 others. In InuYasha were the well goes both ways so you get events in both timelines. But this anime is focused solely on the new timeline. Both animes involve the modern day girl becoming a Priestess. Both hold an important power. In Harukanaru she has 8 guardians and they have to find 4 talismen not shard pieces. Both animes have traces of romance but InuYasha is stronger on this front. Harukanaru has more suitors. Both animes have daemons and an evil main villain who has subordinates. Both animes involve a magical element.

Both anime focus on solving peoples problems. Each episode will focus on a new person and situation. They both have a laid back atmosphere and both are good to chill out to or give you a change from a fast paced anime. And in both most of the cast is male.

...then you might like Kanon (2006) add

The two anime's are both slice of life, with main characters suffering from memory loss. They are beautifully put together. I found Kanon to be more comic in the start but they both sink into a darker plot. Both have a character who is suffering or trying to find memories. Both have the power to make you cry and laugh.

If you liked Fruits Basket add

...then you might like Kamichama Karin add

Yuki fan club is basical in this for kujyou-kun, Also the girl in this has lost her family like Tohru. The two have a few similar cross lines though Kamichama is a little on the cuter side. where as Fruits basket is has a very dark underlying plot.
