Although stories of these manga are completely different (apart from the fact that both of them deal with extreme survival situations) both of them are quite short and have the same feeling of urgency and desperation at times. If we take into account that both mangas are done by different artists the illustrations are identical.

Both are done by the same authors (Kentarou Miura & Buronson). Both deal with time travel. Although in "King Of Wolves" main characters travel to past while in "Japan" everyone gets sent to future environment in both of them are weary similar because "Japan" is a post apocalypse type of manga.
