Both have a beautiful story in ancient Japan. Both protagonists are strong, but they will not always want to fight. Also, it is difficult for both to understand the world.

An anime with no definite direction, sit back and enjoy the charming personality of these high school girls. I think both anime are the best of their genre. They will reach your heart without knowing how, they make you smile while you watch it.

In some respects they can be different anime (one is a reciprocated romantic love and the other is about the discovery of love) also, one is more dramatic than the other. There are still some things that are similar, such as the way of transmitting the story, without rushing, directly enjoying what the characters feel. Attention, neither of these two animes I particularly liked, I gave both a note of 6, but I have to admit that they are similar.

Although katanagatari looks like a fighting anime (and it is), even when the opponents go to fight, they talk for 4 minutes and the fight only lasts 20 seconds. Dialogue weighs much more than combat.
