Amazing manga, it is a coming of age that depicts a lifelong obsession of a man to always climb higher as an alpinist.
Kokou no Hito is the most profound and beloved manga I have ever read. It discusses how one's life is impacted by social anxiety, depression, and mental health in general. Even though this manga occasionally contains tragic scenes, it is still very artistic.

The artwork brilliantly complements the series' symbolism, making it easy to recognize real life from symbolic acts or gestures most of the time. Whether it's Mori's worn-outย and frostbitten face or the breathtaking panorama of the K2 mountain, the artwork in this series is incredibly breathtaking. Through his artistic approach, Shinichi Sakamoto gave this manga a heart and soul.
Character:
The main character, Mori Buntarou, is the focus of this manga, and the writer has done a fantastic job with his development. The secondary characters are all engaging and seem extremely realistic, have their unique personalities, and make a positive contribution to the plot.
Conclusion:
To mature readers, especially those with open minds and a love of visual metaphors, I would heartily suggest this manga. The superb artwork, fantastic character development, gripping plot, and a strong sense of setting all stand out in this exceptional manga. Additionally, the athletic and slice-of-life aspects are well-balanced and work well together.
