Both shows use the sky as their central theme. Characters are also somewhat reminiscent of each other when it comes to their roles. Sola has more action while Air is more slice of life.

While not really similar on the surface, these two share a protagonist who seems to be a failure on first sight but later turns out to be a genius at solving other people's problems. Iris Zero has a little more romance in it whereas Denpa Kyoushi offers a bit more comedy.

Tasogare is pretty much a rip-off of ef melodies. If you enjoyed the concept in Tasogare but found the ending to be rather 'cheesy', then you may find ef melodies to be your cup of tea.

Both deal with romance between a human boy and a non human girl. Both have ecchi in them and you will likely find the story in each to be darker than what you might expect.

Both are hilarious and random shows with some ecchi. Just don't expect any complex plots from these and you will surely enjoy the experience (unless ecchi is not your thing).

If you enjoyed Tomoyo After's ending then you should definitely go read WnSnJ. It does a much better job with its ending imo and characters are more believable than the ones in Tomoyo After. Conversely, if you found WnSnJ too serious and would have enjoyed something with more comedy in it, then Tomoyo After would be a safe pick.

Both have a creepy girl that will kill anyone who gets in her way. The Lolita from Ibitsu is even more twisted than Yuno; a total psychopath if you will. Lots of gore in both, but Ibitsu is a lot more disturbing (if you thought Higurashi was scary, think again! The Lolita is probably creepy enough to scare away the entire cast in Higurashi). Recommended for those into horror and gore.

While Angel Beats is no doubt more serious, both shows contain undead characters getting repeatedly butchered for jokes.

The protagonist in Hyouka reminds me of Tomoya from Clannad a lot. They even share the same voice actor. Not to mention the animation style in Hyouka looks reminiscent of Clannad, very smooth and of high quality. Hopefully from now on KyoAni will go back to making anime with animation of this caliber.

The protagonists in both series believe in the existence of a secret organization that is out there to get them. Both shows display a good balance between comedy and darker themes.

Gore, nudity, and more gore... these 2 are among the most graphic shows out there. Berserk has a stronger storyline than EL imo.
