A deer, former delinquent, siscon maniac to a rice connoisseur, what could go wrong?
Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan follows a story... wait... is this right? (mumbling..) Aaah ok, ok. (cough, cough, cough)
Yeah, it ain´t got a story, it´s just a bunch of shenanigans, parodies and awful comedy that makes you laugh only because it just doesn´t make sence. Which when going into this anime nothing and I really do mean nothing will make sence nor will it be explained.
Pretty much the entire premise of the show revolves around Nokotan (the deer) always getting into trouble and coming up

with some really bizarre stuff for later on Koshitan (former delinquent) to bail her out. Add this with the siscon maniac and rice connoisseur and it makes a disfunctional dynamic which is very funny to watch.
The animation is decent with a hilarious OP filled with many references from games to movies.
Overall, it´s a good anime to turn off you brain and pass the time. If you have a spare half an hour I´d definitively recommned watching it, worst case scenario you lose a couple of brain cells in the process.

Perfect! It was perfect! Down to the last minute details.
First of J.C STAFF deserve a praise, this was by far the best and I really do mean the "best" season of Danmachi to this day. It had everything, character growth, trauma, incredible fights, high stakes and amazing animation.
In this season we get to see Ryu´s traumatic past, what caused the Astrea familia´s downfall, why she blames herself for her friends death, why she was branded as a rogue adventurer and why she chose revenge agains´t the Evilous faction.

Bell in order to survive and overcome the dangers lying dormant within it. As well as Bell achieving his dream by surpassing his limits, all in order of becoming the "hero" he aspires to be as the one that saves the damsel in distress and lives happily ever after.
The Hestia familia and company must also overcome the dangers of the dungeon by clashing head to head with the powerfull Boss monster of floor 37, all in order to rescue both Bell and Ryu.
We can only hope Season 5 delivers to it´s high expectations by LN readers.

Curtains! Lights! Action! This show is about to COMMENCE!!!
I really liked this season despite the slower main plot progression, since the "Tokyo blade arc" lasted almost the entire season but the twist and turns we gotten this season have been crazy!!
The character development this season has been really good, we see a change in personalities and views of both Aqua and Ruby by the new circumstances they face revolving their late mother´s case. New characters and info are introduced leaving more questions than answers. Which we can only hope to know more in S3.

Overall a really good season! I can´t wait for the 3 season to release and hope I´m caught up with the manga by the time it airs.

Jujutsu Kaisen, as a member of the "Dark Trio" of manga has set the bar high of what a modern shonen should be.
Good storyline, Captivating characters, Crazy fights, Crazy plot-twists and Dark. What more does a modern shonen need?

seen by regular people, it requires one´s mastery/ability of "Cursed energy" to see these supernatural phenomenons.
Our MC "Yuji" not only has he lost his dear grandfather and is left alone in the world, he and his friends are threatened by a "Curse" attracted by a dried finger that they found and brought over to their "Occult research club". He stupidly decides to eat the finger in a desparate attempt save his friends, to then find out it was from the "King of Curses". Later on he is detained and sentenced to death by the "Jujutsu council" who stand atop of the Jujutsu world. However a white haired sorcerer known to be "The strongest sorcerer" of modern day has other plans for Yuji.
The characters are simply incredible each very unique personality and extravagant designs. The main trio is very likeable, each have a unique contrast to another making their interactions and dynamic very funny and interesting.
The character development is well presented across arcs.
The art is drawn very sketchy and sharp making stand out from different shonen. In fights scenes it can get quite messy and given the dark tone the manga sets.
Overall, Jujutsu kaisen is a really good shonen however after the "Shibuya Arc" arguably the best arc in modern shonen, the mangaka tried to make weird plot-twists causing confusion in some parts of the story later on. In addition to a weak finale it´s left many with wanting a sequel in order to answer those questions. Despite some issues it´s still a really good shonen worth a read!

Wands or Swords?? Why not BOTH?
From the creator of "Danmachi" we get a new series that both resembles Black Clover and Mashle, known as "Wistoria: Wand and Sword". Top tier animation, Cool fights, Unconceivablle odds, what more does a shonen junkie need???
The story follows our MC "Will Selfort" in a world where magic is everything, where at the pinnacle of all races the "Magia Vender" the most elite of mages reside inside the "Tower" guarding the world from invaders from the heavens.

Although cliche shonen our MC is not like his predecessors, Will is a hard working, studious protagonist that slaps most muscle head MC´s to shame. With his sharps instincts, resilient body, analysing mind and strong-will, he fights head on unconceivable odds in order to achieve his dreams.
The studio pulled a 180 turn from what looked like a generic shonen anime into a highly enjoyable cliche shonen. The animation from the very beginning is flawless, together with the music creates very epic fight sequences, the characters are captivating and interesting. Their designs are really well drawn and cute especially the MC´s familiar "Kiki".
Overall, it may be kind of cliche to most shonen out there, however with it´s unique design style, captivating characters and story, it´s highly enjoyable and makes you want to watch more!. I highly recommned this anime and as of now a second season has been confirmed.

TRULY A MASTERPIECE OF AN ANIME
With the new instalment of TENSURA Season 3 ended, it further solidifies itself as one of the BIG three of Isekai.
I mean... Peak Story, Peak Animation, Peak Character development, Peak World-building, Peak Comedy, Peak Action, Peak Slice of Life PEAK WAIFUS... I´m running out of things, what more could you possibly need???
Now down to earth though, this season although called a "Yapfest" by some fans due to "Lack of action" has been really good.
I mean, I get it having to watch 7 straight episodes of just meetings at the beginning of the season before any fighting is tedious and boring.

Could we have skipped the meetings? Nop... Could they have summarised the meetings? Yes... By having those meetings we got more insight into the lore, world-building and important characters in Tensura, which we will need further on in future arcs to come, since some pretty mayor stuff will happen which my fellow action junkies will love! :-)
Definitely the highlight this season for me was Shion, NOT only is she a hottie, but a POWERFUL Hottie at that too. As shown in the later action packted episodes along with best girl Shuna. (I´m still MIND-BLOWN by the duet of Shion and Shuna)
Shion´s character development has been amazing this season.
Honorable mention to Benimaru, poor guy being chased by two hotties! I wish I had those kind of problems :-(
Overall, this season has been a blast, we got introduced to very important characters, new waifu´s and a ton of new worldbuilding.
I cannot wait for Season 4 and the movie to come ouit, which have been already announced and I´m expecting them to be released some time midway or late 2025.
P.S. I rate animes across all seasons, therefore the 10 rating for this 3 season. Not a lot of Isekai series are as well packed as Tensura is, and for me deserves the credit given to it.

Mid adaptation
The first episode sets the bar high with good animation and story, however that comes crushing down from episodes 2 to 6.
The CGI used is bad and becomes heavely used for pretty much half the season, it remained me a lot like how the dragons from "Misfit of Demon King Academy S2 Part 2" were animated, if you seen it YOU know what i mean.
How the anime was directed in the first half of the season is bad, certain important character development scenes between the MC & FL were skipped or just moved further up in the story and introduced at random moments.

Scenes were completely changed leaving the characters feeling 2 Dimensional and making the story feel as if you completely skipped a ton of dialogue, thus making the pacing awkward at times.
Now although the first half wasn´t the best, the animation and story got a lot better on the second half from episode 7 to the finale. For starters the animation heavely improved, by improving the CGI and only using it in a few scenes such as fights or background characters. The characters designs were actually even better than in the manga.
The interaction between characters improved, since we got more insight on the characters, by the way they think and how they think of each other and how they can overcome their obstacles given their situation.
The plot of the story is actually good, the MC seeks revenge on the goddess who discarded him and heroes who betrayed him, because he was the weakest out of the heroes summoned and now by the use of his low level spells he will annahilate the goddess and any heroes who get in his way. (Also the traumatic past of the MC, which makes you understand the way he is and why he does things as acertain way)
The secondary characters forming the band with the MC & FL are actually interesting, such as the leopard collesseum warrior and dark elf.
I will say the ending was lackluster to say the least, I imagine by how the anime turned out the studio had no other option but to leave it at a cliffhanger for hopes people will want a second season or just continue on in the manga.
Overall as someone who´s read the manga, I heavely recommned you read the manga instead of watching the anime.
The characters are better presented, more lore of the world is explained and overall the story feels better written.

Not for the light-hearted.
Just by the title alone you already know what kind of story is going to be and really there´s only two types of endings with mangas of this genre, either it ends horribly or really well.
The story/plot is okay for the type of story that it is, since it´s a short story each chapter is only a page long with the exception of the last 5 chapters. Like "DinoNo1" (in the other review) said, the story heavily relies on the readers sympathy, however the lack of story is more than made up with the character development by the two leads. Secondary characters

are decent but they don´t have much screen time.
In the Art department this manga trully excells. It reminds me a lot of "Berserk" how the MC is ruggedly drawn. Each scenary and character is beautifly drawn, each panel is so detailed that you even have to zoom in to see the fine detail of like small leaves, birds, etc.
Overall, the manga is a good read, however towards the end the mangaka did rush the story quite a bit, but I´m content with the finale that we got. So far there´s a prequel of how the Elf got captured and tortured, however it´s a Hentai and it´s a lot more graphic than this manga, so read it at your own discretion.
If you are looking for a similar manga take a look at "Eternal Ring" it follows a similar plot, the characters are well written and the art is really good as well. I´ve made a review of the one-shot so if you´d like please check it out.

Beautiful one-shot story between the Man without hands and a Woman without feet that venture forth to reach the world´s END.
The story is quite sad and beautiful at the same time, since it interprets concepts like Eternity, Endless cycle and Equivalent exchange into the story.
The characters are beautiful drawn and have have a nice development to them in just this one-shot.
Overall, It´s a solid read. It´s got a captivating start and a good ending for being a one-shot.
If you don´t know what to read give it a go, it won´t take you more than 10 min to read.

"Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian" is by far is the best Romcom so far of 2024.
Peak comedy, Peak characters, Peak wincest... I mean sibling bonding what more can you ask for?
Alya (FL), a half-japanese/half-russian transfer student that joins Ackley Bridge college from overseas, not long after she quickly earns the title of "Ice princess" due to her cold and strict personality. But that will soon change when she meets the "lazy genius" Kuze Masachika (our MC), polar opposite personalities clash what couild go wrong? Right?
The both main and secondary characters are all very well writtten, with their unique quirks and gimmicks.

complement each other really well despite their differences, creating Peak comedy since our FL sometimes speaks her feelings in Russian to our beloved MC, however unbeknownst to Alya our MC can understand Russian thanks to his paternal grandfather, which causes very funny yet awkward moments throughout the series.
The one character that stands out the most is "Yuki" also known as the "Wincest Queen" you´ll find out soon enough why she is called that. She may appear like a very elegant, refined and sofisticated girl, but once you see her real side she is the biggest otaku, brocon, eccentric, sadistic and playful person out of the entire cast and I´m ALL FOR IT!!!
Like most teenage romcoms there´s the involvement of the "Almighty student council" that holds power on par with the world goverment, jokes aside altho cliche the anime does a job of adding the student council into the PLOT of the story, since both leads are part of it, creating some helarious shenanigans with the secondary characters along the way.
Visually the anime is stunning you can tell they put the same love into the animation as they did with "Oshi no ko".
The OP is a banger, not to mention that this anime has not one but 12 different endings, each with their own song and animation.
Sound wise the anime does a decent job when needed, not much to comment there.
Overall, what makes this anime so interesting and fun to watch is that you cannot and I say CANNOT predict what will happen next, may it be unexpected twist and turns to the story, actions/relationships between characters or more to one´s personality than whats shown on the surface.
With a second season already confirmed I cannot wait for it to be released, meanwhile I´ll try reading the LN since from what I´ve heard the studio skipped some interesting/helarious scenes on the anime.
The perfect Human? The Eminence in Shadow? Time to make way for the "Lazy Genius" to join the trio.
