Criminally underrated!!!
There are very few manga out there that blend genres as well as this one: Captivating narrative, Hilarious comedy, Unique characters, Vivid art style, Great character growth, and an amazing Finale!. Honestly it´s PEAK Shounen-romance
It embarresses me to say that I was putting off reading this manga for so long when my close friend recommended it to me. Simply due to the fact that it just wasn´t calling to me, however I couldn´t have been more wrong. of the people misdjudged it simply because of how it looked.
The story is so well-written! At the beginning, it’s very comedically action-packed, but as it gets into the whole premise of the series. There are a lot romantic developments and moments of growth between Taiyo and Mutsumi. The best way to describe it is like eating a teaspoon full of sugar. Honestly, their relationship is so sweet and wholesome. There is no "will they, won´t they filler" but intead get together at the beginning and grow together throught the series.
The thing that surprised me the most was how dark the manga can get. What I mean by that is how it doesn’t hesitate to show or tell tragic backstories and moments.
The best way I can describe the characters, especially the Yozakura family, is a dysfunctional family. Honestly, the whole family dynamic is hilarious and complement each other really well, each of them has their own aesthetic, personalities, and unique quirks. Ranging from a siscon overprotective older brother to a laid-back NEET younger sister. My special favourite is Kyoichirou, mostly because of his backstory, which influenced him to be the way that he is.
The character development is on another level compared to other mangas, and you will see that as the story progresses as each character has their own personal growth and epic moments in the series.
The art style is simply amazing. The action sequences are top-tier crisp and intricate. And when you see a closed eyed character open their eyes for the first time, YOU KNOW shit is about to go down real fast. Add that with the characters comedic expressions makes the light hearted moments all the more memorable and funny.
Overall, I haven’t been this happy and sad to finish a manga. With a great finale, it leaves plenty of story to tell for a sequel.
Honestly, it sets the standard for what a modern shounen should be!. This is proof that you can have a straight foward, wholesome couple while still being interesting since chapter 1. I hope more mangakas follow suit.

New favourite genre discovered??...
Okay, where to begin?... Let me just say, what I thought was going to be a trashy, comedic Isekai turned into a total gem! When I saw “Otome” in the description, my first thought was, “Oh no... not the ‘reincarnated into a romance novel’ trope.” I’ve never been a fan of stories where the MC/FL gets reincarnated into a fictional character in a novel or game. All that unnecessary drama never seemed worth it or even good. But oh boy, was I wrong!
The narrative is simple, when our MC learns he was reincarnated as a "mob character" in the Otome game, he

was made to beat the game by his sister. He decides that he will do whatever he can to live a "leisureable life" in this new world with his already intensive knowledge since beating the game.
The characters are decent-ish?, but let’s be real the real magic happens with the main trio "Leon, Olivia, and Angelica" comes in. And let me tell you, 'oh boy, does Leon take the cake!' He is by far one of my favorite MCs of all time, easily in my Top 3. His character is simply the most diabolical, greedy and strategic MC I’ve come across, and that's saying something. Mix that with an arrogant high-ranking noble and a kind-hearted noble commoner, and you get a hilarious dynamic that kept me hooked.
*Also, small spoiler: My guy had the audacity to ask the queen (who’s married) for her hand in marriage at a school festival 💀💀💀 Someone quickly grab a forklift, someone has to help this man walk with those balls of steel.*
Visually, the anime is decent, however, that's overshadowed by its compelling story. I will say that when comparing the design of the characters between the LN and manga, the anime is a cut above. The characters seem more themselves in the anime, and how the studio animated their eyes is something that I really liked.
And can we talk about Leon’s VA for a second? The man is a genius! It’s been a while since I’ve laughed this much, not since watching High School DxD at least. Leon’s VA gives off major Issei vibes! super charismatic. I’ve heard a bit of the Japanese VA and while it’s good, it just doesn’t hold a candle to the English dub.
Overall, this anime was an amazing surprise. I had heard it was funny but the premise never grabbed me enough to watch until now. And honestly, I think I’ve just found a new genre I can get into.
P.S. I usually watch anime in sub, but every now and then, when the stars align, you find a really good dub. This, my friends, is one of those cases.

Childhood friends in their early 30´s arrange a fake marriage to keep their old folks off their backs?? What can go wrong here?...
This is the first time, I´ve been so engaged in reading a romance manhwa of an adult cast, which really makes you relate to them in some ways. Sure there´s the touch unrealism froim time to time, like in majority of romance stories, but OMG, it´s soo good!
The story revolves around Jia Han, a 32-year-old "nuisance" living with her parents due to her unemployment situation. This situation leads to her parents frequently nagging her to find a job, get married, and move out.

her parents constant presistance, she comes up with a solution involving her single childhood friend, Mincheol Jin—by arranging a fake marriage to get out of their shared predicament.
From here on, the two have to "fake it till they make it," and over time, they learn that polar opposites truly attract.
The characters contrast each other so well, and when I say "opposites attract," I really do mean it. The contrast between them is so striking. For instance, Jia is a messy, tsundere, lazy bum who wants to live her days in pure relaxation. On the other hand, Mincheol is hardworking, neat, and a straightforward kind of guy. The huge disparity in their personalities makes the comedy pure gold, and over time, as they spend more time together, they begin to develop real feelings for one another. Overall, it makes their relationship really relatable and realistic.
The art is probably the best I’ve seen in romance manhwas and honestly, in general. What gets me everytime is how Jia tries to guess Mincheol’s mood based on his expressions, which are always the same stoic look.
Overall, it’s a great romance manhwa that really stands out from the usual teenage romance clichés. While it does have its tropes, like any romance story, it brings a refreshing feeling with its unique narrative.
P.S After what felt like an extremelly long hiatus wait for season 2, WE ARE SO BACK!!!.

Now this IS a oneshot that DESERVES serialization!!!
Demon king reincarnates as the former hero´s son?? Oh my god this is helarious!!!
All the enjoyment of this manga literally comes from how the former demon king has to experience the greatest shame of being treated as a baby, since he is a technically a baby!. His inner dialogue is what makes the comedy pure gold, as he faces humiliating situations of being taken care of by his former archnemesis, who is now his mother.
The art looks really good and is very well drawn, which makes the action scenes really awesome.

in the one-shot and I cannot wait to see more.
In conclusion, this was a really good start, and I hope it gets a serialization. So far the narrative, although slice-of-life has plenty of opportunities to evolve into a more shonen-style story, especially since our MC was the former Demon King making different routes the story can take.

One of the Wildest anime!
So after reading the first chapter of the manga years ago leaving me with a bad mouth taste because of the whole "aliens experiment on Ayase scene" I´ve decided to give the anime a chance to win me back and IT DID!!!
This has got to be the most unhinged anime I´ve seen this year! and I´m all for it. Studio ´Science SARU´ seriously cooked this season captivating designs, crisp animation, quircky scenarios, top tier comedy and GILFS people GILFS!!.
In most shonen narratives there is always some catastrophe or something else that threatens the world, making it a ´plot point´
...
to drive the narrative foward for the MC to get stronger and save the day, however this shonen´s ´catastrophe´ is retrieving the MC´s family jewels!! (yep you heard me right, just trust me on this is worth the watch)
Like how wacky can you get??? honestly it´s helarious and surprinsingly entertaining to watch.
The characters in the story are quite eccentric since the the members of the group are; a reverse yandere, otaku, GILF, kuudere and talking cat which makes some seriously funny scenes.
What captivated me about the most of the anime is that it´s really unpredictable, like for example you might get 5 straight episodes of action packed fun and then be hit with an emotionally sad backstory of a villain that you hated, which makes you then think are they really the bad guys? Out of all supposedly evil creatures like aliens, yokai, demons and ghost the real evil creatures are humans like damn makes you think.
Overall I can´t wait for a second season which has already confirmed for july 2025. The anime has been trully a blast and has changed my view of the manga when I initially dropped it and will re-read it.

Demon Lord discovers the POWER of baths
To begin with although the title name isn´t most appealing, the oneshot is surprisingly enjoyable.
The narrative follows a demon lord who ventures into the human world to conquer it, however she is met by "Tamao" a 19 year old teenager working as a manager at his late grandfather´s public bath house and discovers the joys of "bathing".
There is nice comedy but nothing noteworthy, the characters are nicely drawn and art is decent.
Overall I´d like to see a serialization since it would be a nice read to pass the time and chill out due to the story beign so

Absolute hidden gem!!
In a world where humans and supernatural beings coexist. "Yakou Shizuka" a blind woman works as a secretary in a detective agency and her employer "Tounome" an invisible detective develop a romantic feelings for one another taking them from just office workers to soon-to-be wife and husband.
Each lead perceives the other in ways other people cannot given their unique circumstances foster a deep connection between them, which makes a unique and unconventional love story really captivating and enjoyable.
The story is combines light-romance, slice of life and fantasy really well which makes it really the evermore engaging.
The other two characters among "Tounome"

and "Shizuka" are; "Jarashi" an energetic, big hearted beast-woman who is in charge of bodyguarding services and "Kikira" a human with a blunt personality in charge of intelligence gathering, this makes makes the overall dynamic and interactions at the agency really fun and lively.
The art is very distintive from other mangas since it incorporates shades of blue, apart from the traditional black and white in manga.
The character designs are drawn really adorable and visually stunning which really fit the characters traits and personalities.
Overall, I really like the manga since it gives you an enchanting story out of the norm of romance narratives in other mangas.
As a fan of slice of life romance stories this really fits right up my alley and I hope more chapters release soon. Also I´ve seen listed there´s going to be an anime adaptation which I soo hyped for!!!

Tear-jerker one-shot...
Do you know the feeling that you get when finishing a series that leaves you with a hole in the chest?... Well this one-shot is one of them!
Right from the start is a roller coaster of emotions. It´s a bitter sweet story that shows how fate can be so cruel even when you think you know what´s coming.
The main characters are very likeable and quircky, the pacing is well done to show the growth between characters.
The art and setting compliment the tone of the story so well and by the end you will want to re-read it.
When finished reading it, it gave me "I

Want to eat your pancreas" vibes, which if you read or watch it you will know what I mean by the end.
Overall I´d love for a serialization but what we got was more than enough. it´s a great one-shot to read if you have a couple of minutes to spare. You won´t regret it :-)

MY GUILTY PLEASURE...
This is my favourite Slice of Life manga out there, the story is decent, world building good, world mechanics very well explained/inplemented, good character depth, art is amazing and best of all the ero scenes are mouth watering 🤤 honestly what more do you need to start reading this gem???
- STORY (7/10)
The story follows a slow pace given since it´s a slife of life series, however don´t let it fool you there´s plenty of action both in the labyrinths and in bed ;-).
Don´t expect the story to be god´s penmanship, the MC literally juts wants to live a peacefull life
...
with his insanely sexy waifus.
The entire world building is well done together with the complex mechanics it makes the MC actually wait and think things through and how they might reverberate in the future, not just going happy go lucky kind of thing.
- ART (9/10)
The art is amazing it very captivating, it amazes me how it so well detailed and let´s not forget the ero scenes OMG the mangaka knows how to cook it makes the whole month wait worth it.
Thanks to the art it highly elevates the somewhat dull storyline.
Roxanne takes the word ´thick´to a whole new level like damn ( . ) ( . )
- CHARACTERS (8/10)
The manga is refreshing compared to the vast majority of Isekai harem fantasy manga´s outhere, the characters don´t feel two dimensional, each waifu has her unique personality and mindset that complements the party´s overall dynamic and interactions.
Despite their obvious situation of them being ´slaves´ they clearly don´t just follow the MC blindly and actually voice their opinions which helps the MC level up faster and get more waifus!
So far in the manga we have seen ´Roxanne´ and ´Sherry´ however from what I´ve heard from the LN readers the rest of the party are great also.
The MC is actually likeable, intelligent and thoughtful to the waifus, he doesn´t kill anyone unless is actually necessary.
He is definitively not your average isekai MC.
- OVERALL OPINION (10/10)
Overall I´d say it´s a solid read to pass the time, it´s highly enjoyable and the waifus are insanely hot.
The only things bad about it´s the monthly release and the fewer pages per chapter, it feel like forever until a new chapter releases, however apparently is due to the mangaka´s poor health so at least we are getting something.
Honeslty speaking if I could choose to live any life out of any MC in animanga it would be Michio´s for sure, the dude literally is living his best life surrounded by beautiful waifu´s, has OP skills to some extend and doesn´t have to worry about defeating a demon king like is most Isekai fantasies.

PURE BRAINROT and I´m all for it!!! ´nun´
A deer, former delinquent, siscon maniac to a rice connoisseur, what could go wrong?
Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan follows a story... wait... is this right? (mumbling..) Aaah ok, ok. (cough, cough, cough)
Yeah, it ain´t got a story, it´s just a bunch of shenanigans, parodies and awful comedy that makes you laugh only because it just doesn´t make sence. Which when going into this anime nothing and I really do mean nothing will make sence nor will it be explained.
Pretty much the entire premise of the show revolves around Nokotan (the deer) always getting into trouble and coming up
...
with some really bizarre stuff for later on Koshitan (former delinquent) to bail her out. Add this with the siscon maniac and rice connoisseur and it makes a disfunctional dynamic which is very funny to watch.
The animation is decent with a hilarious OP filled with many references from games to movies.
Overall, it´s a good anime to turn off you brain and pass the time. If you have a spare half an hour I´d definitively recommned watching it, worst case scenario you lose a couple of brain cells in the process.
