We have won!! After a phenomenal Season 2, Solo Leveling has been the "linchpin" for manhwa mass adaptations. As it´s been confirmed over 30 webtoons will begin adaptations in the coming years. It’s incredible to see the manhwa industry is finally getting the recognition it deserves. There are so many amazing manhwas out there that deserve an anime, and Solo Leveling is a perfect example why.

It may not have the story telling of Re:Zero, the world building of One Piece or the animation of Demon Slayer, but where it hits different is the epic battles, mc´s motivations—and of course, the AURA ... FARMING!!! Jokes aside, I really liked the anime only scenes A1 included, especially on epsiode 9. Damn--those onion cutting ninjas got me good.

If the animation and overall quality stay the same (or get even better) in Season 3, well… all I’m saying is we’ve got a strong contender for Anime of the Year. What’s about to go down from here on out is going to blow anime onlies’ minds.

Overall, it´s been a great season! Hopefully we don´t have to wait long until S3 is confirmed. I’d usually say I’ll check out the manga after finishing an anime, but since I’ve already read Solo Leveling, I guess this is my call to start reading Solo Leveling Ragnarok :-)

Another season another Banger!!

C2C has once again, delighting us with an incredible S2 of Shangri-La Frontier. When you think you´ve seen the best this series has to offer—BANG! it tops itself once more. Animation, characters, world building, comedy and story. It´s got all the ingredients needed to become one hell on an anime.

Right of from where we left off in S1, Sunraku keeps pushing on to find and defeat his sworn enemy Lycagon, while discovering the wonders hidden in this GOD-TIER game. Like before we dive deeper into the lore of the game and discover there´s much more of a deeper story to Shangri-La than ... what meets the eye. With the help of Pencilgon, K, Psyger-0 and new allies. Sunraku faces a new bosses monster and new challenges both in IRL and in game.

Not to mention—more of Pencilgon’s get-rich-quick schemes and shenanigans that’ll have you laughing your ass off!

As always, each boss fight outshines the last. Especially in Round 2 against Lycagon, where the legendary "Attack Master" shows Sunraku exactly why she earned that title.

When it comes to OPs and EDs, this anime is on a whole different level. I haven't seen a series with this many amazing OSTs since Black Clover!

Overall, it´s been a great season and to top it all off—we´ve got S3 CONFIRMED!!! In the meantime, I’ll be diving into the manga, especially since where the anime left it off was the start of an epic arc!

WE ARE SOOO BACK!!!

Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo really is the ultimate harem romcom. Ever liked a flat-chested tsundere? Ever liked a big-boobed, over-caring MILF? Ever liked a scientific loli who can transform into an adult with the use of her illegal drugs manufactured from her chemistry club lab class??? You NAME it, we GOT it!!

As the main selling point of this manga, acquiring 100 girlfriends who really, really, really, really, REALLY love you, it does not disappoint. So far, there are 32 girlfriends and still counting in the manga. And every single one of them has a very distinctive personality ... and character design. It's amazing how the writer and art designer have managed to make each girl unique in their own way. Honestly, I’m surprised they haven’t run out of ideas for future grilfriends and decided to include other races like elves, beastwoman, demons from fantasy genres or even doubles from parallel universes. But let´s be honest if Rentarou can go full super saiyan for the sake of one of his girlfriends, I´m sure this isn´t too far-fetched.

The story... the stor.. well there ain´t much of a story aside from getting 100 girlfriends, but each girl has been getting their own arcs for their character developments. Put it this way you won´t get bored from watching or reading it. There´s always something going down.

Honestly, it amazes me this manga/anime hasn’t been canceled yet. The amount of references it has, borders on a near copyright infringement that they would be swimming in lawsuits by now, but hey if they still can get away with it and still be funny while doing so, who am I to say anything?. ngl other mangakas probably saw this and thought, “Well, at least you made it funny, so I’ll let you off this time.”

As for my final thoughts—God PLEASE!! if I ever ask anything from you is to have a S3 of this anime!. If you thought this season was good wait to see the next one. All I´m saying is "Cousin, loli grandma and murrican cowgirl" with this you may choose to either trash this anime or throw yourself into the manga.

Will the villain live long enough to overcome fate or die trying?

So far up to chapter 29, the story is quite interesting. Our MC who is recently dumped by his girlfriend (Also boss), gets transported into the very game they were making as the Villain fated to DIE!.

Now living in this new persona he must turn enemies toi allies and change how the world views him in order to survive until the game´s END. All while struggling with his conflicted identity, as his old self and his villainous new persona start to merge.

The character are quite complex, since the vast majority that interact with ... our MC (Deculein), have a already negative view of him. As he is now in possesion of the villain, his actions have changed drastically for the better, so several characters including the main heroine and minor antagonists don´t know what to make out of this change and now have conflited views of him.

Visually the manhwa is stunning, the designs for the characters and atmosphere is very well done and fits the world quite well.

Overall, It´s definitively got the potential to be a good story, but I have a feeling I know what sort of ending this is going to have. And this is without even reading the completed novel. But they could always go original here. So who knows!

ABSOOOOLUTE CINEMA PEOPLE!!!

You know how some people think that once they hit a certain age, grow a beer belly, and grow a few gray hairs, they´re ready for retirement? Welp... Not my Sakamoto. He straight-up got up and dropkicked the whole stereotype right out the window. My guy can still throw hands even with a dad bod, PURE BADASS! imo

From the underworld’s greatest hitman to your local supermarket cashier. It´s no wonder it´s easily one of the TOP 3 current shonen. A Decent story, likeable characters, great comedy and good animation? Sakamoto Days does NOT disappoint! TMS Entertainment has done it again, serving up an ... anime packed with god-tier action and gold comedy.

One of the most beautiful and chaotic things about the series is how the main trio "Sakamoto, Shin, and Lu" act. They act like a dysfunctional family. And I don’t mean that in a bad way, no, no, no quite the opposite. They’re a mess, but they’re MY mess and I love them for it. There’s always something going down, whether it’s Sakamoto fantasizing on killing Shin when he gets too annoying or Lu and Shin fighting over the last steamed bun like their lives depend on it. Honestly it´s helarious.

Overall, it´s easily one of my favorites this season! And with Part 2 on the way, I can’t wait to see what else S1 has in store for us.
If you’re looking for a chill anime to watch, look no further this is it.

Work with extra steps

Having read a bit of the manga, I already knew this was going to be a typical one-season isekai anime. That said, it was actually enjoyable to watch after episode 4. Once you get past the slow start it´s actually decent.

The premise of the story is that our mc (Uchimura, Dennosuke) a salary man who works for a toxic company, get´s transported into another world by the Demon lord. Aside from the typical hero vs villain plot in most Isekai, this has a distint twist that the actual Demon lord (not really villainous) offers our mc a job to be one of ... his Elite four generals to help him with his army.

Honestly, what made me watch the anime all the way through was Ulmandra’s quirky relationship with the mc. A tsundere and ex-corporate slave—what could go wrong, right? Although it was really cliché at times, I still found it amusing and kept watching. To better summarize this anime, it’s like coffee for coffee lovers. Unless you enjoy generic isekais, this won’t be to your taste.

Overall, it’s a decent watch, it´s not great but not crap etiher. Plus it was fun to see a different type of isekai from the norm, especially one centered around managing a demon army. It sort of gives me vibes from "How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom", which, by the way, I still have to watch! Damn, there are too many animes I still need to watch... Yay—I mean, uhh.

Good light read to pass the time,

This is a sweet story between a misunderstood delinquent and a outcast chubby girl, who by fate cross paths and begin to develop an unusual relationship on their school´s rooftop. As they spend more time together, they gradually grow closer thanks to their shared passion for food.

The story is enjoyable to read, especially since both leads are likeable, cutely drawn and have a realistic backstories that you can relate to. It’s refreshing to see an uncommon type of lead like the FL, as there aren’t many manga that feature overweight characters in meaningful roles. Stories that incorporate food like ... this one, are always nice to see, as they add a unique and enjoyable element to the plot.

Overall, the thing I didn’t like about this story is the plot twist, it felt dumb and literally came out of nowhere. Also in every story with an undesirable looking character, they undergo a character development where they change their appearance and everyone changes their attitude towards them. It’s predictable, but apart from that the ending is decent, so overall an enjoyable read.

Finally one of the BIG plot points concluded!

What an incredible season, an emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end. This season unveils Syr's true identity and her deep connection to the Freya Familia, delivers major character developments, and gives us a long-awaited moment of Ryuu finally confronting her feelings for Bell. And if that wasn’t enough, Syr asks Bell out on a DATE?!

So Freya finally reveals her true intentions and makes a move on obtaining Bell for herself by using the whole of Orario as part of her evil scheme in this "Goddess of Fertility" festival. Meanwhile "Syr" asks out Bell on a date on the ... upcoming festival but he is surprised that the captain himself of the Freya familia trains him for his upcoming date?? what relations does Syr have with the freya familia? and why?

Best girl Ryuu (imo) finally acknowledges her feelings for Bell, however she is conflicted whether or not she must accept or reject them since her dear friend Syr has fallen in love with Bell since the very beginning and plans to ask him on a date. She knows whatever route she takes she is afraid she will hurt their relationship.

Bell´s resolve is tested to the limit as he proves how far he is willing to go to achieve his dreams and protects those he holds dear, even if faced agains´t the world fooled by a god and a King is standing in his way. Will he be able to free a god from the shackles of goddesshood and protect his dear friend´s smile or will he succumb to a false reality?

The visuals and music have been spot on this season, specially towards the second half of the season in the war game between the Hestia familia and allied forces agains´t the Freya familia. The Hestia familia lays all the cards on the table to help Bell and Syr in their time of need, which a certain god makes their appearance after long inactive time in Orario to give a helping hand.
The whole final battle gave me chills you can really tell J.C STAFF put their all into making the final battle as flashy, smooth and intense as possible and it really paid of.

Overall, this has been an amazing season full of sad and happy moments. If I had to say one negative thing about this season is the delays of production. I get they had like 6 other anime airing simultaniously but J.C STAFF really need to prioritise and say enough is enough of a workload. I can´t imagine what the animators had to go through while animating this season.
Hopefully it doesn´t happen again in S6 but until then I cannot wait to see what season 6 will bring us!

Criminally underrated!!!

There are very few manga out there that blend genres as well as this one: Captivating narrative, Hilarious comedy, Unique characters, Vivid art style, Great character growth, and an amazing Finale!. Honestly it´s PEAK Shounen-romance

It embarresses me to say that I was putting off reading this manga for so long when my close friend recommended it to me. Simply due to the fact that it just wasn´t calling to me, however I couldn´t have been more wrong. What may look like a childish artstyle upon first glance, actually has such a serious tone as it progresses. It reminds me of HunterxHunter, since a lot ... of the people misdjudged it simply because of how it looked.

The story is so well-written! At the beginning, it’s very comedically action-packed, but as it gets into the whole premise of the series. There are a lot romantic developments and moments of growth between Taiyo and Mutsumi. The best way to describe it is like eating a teaspoon full of sugar. Honestly, their relationship is so sweet and wholesome. There is no "will they, won´t they filler" but intead get together at the beginning and grow together throught the series.

The thing that surprised me the most was how dark the manga can get. What I mean by that is how it doesn’t hesitate to show or tell tragic backstories and moments.

The best way I can describe the characters, especially the Yozakura family, is a dysfunctional family. Honestly, the whole family dynamic is hilarious and complement each other really well, each of them has their own aesthetic, personalities, and unique quirks. Ranging from a siscon overprotective older brother to a laid-back NEET younger sister. My special favourite is Kyoichirou, mostly because of his backstory, which influenced him to be the way that he is.

The character development is on another level compared to other mangas, and you will see that as the story progresses as each character has their own personal growth and epic moments in the series.

The art style is simply amazing. The action sequences are top-tier crisp and intricate. And when you see a closed eyed character open their eyes for the first time, YOU KNOW shit is about to go down real fast. Add that with the characters comedic expressions makes the light hearted moments all the more memorable and funny.

Overall, I haven’t been this happy and sad to finish a manga. With a great finale, it leaves plenty of story to tell for a sequel.
Honestly, it sets the standard for what a modern shounen should be!. This is proof that you can have a straight foward, wholesome couple while still being interesting since chapter 1. I hope more mangakas follow suit.

New favourite genre discovered??...

Okay, where to begin?... Let me just say, what I thought was going to be a trashy, comedic Isekai turned into a total gem! When I saw “Otome” in the description, my first thought was, “Oh no... not the ‘reincarnated into a romance novel’ trope.” I’ve never been a fan of stories where the MC/FL gets reincarnated into a fictional character in a novel or game. All that unnecessary drama never seemed worth it or even good. But oh boy, was I wrong!

The narrative is simple, when our MC learns he was reincarnated as a "mob character" in the Otome game, he ... was made to beat the game by his sister. He decides that he will do whatever he can to live a "leisureable life" in this new world with his already intensive knowledge since beating the game.

The characters are decent-ish?, but let’s be real the real magic happens with the main trio "Leon, Olivia, and Angelica" comes in. And let me tell you, 'oh boy, does Leon take the cake!' He is by far one of my favorite MCs of all time, easily in my Top 3. His character is simply the most diabolical, greedy and strategic MC I’ve come across, and that's saying something. Mix that with an arrogant high-ranking noble and a kind-hearted noble commoner, and you get a hilarious dynamic that kept me hooked.

*Also, small spoiler: My guy had the audacity to ask the queen (who’s married) for her hand in marriage at a school festival 💀💀💀 Someone quickly grab a forklift, someone has to help this man walk with those balls of steel.*

Visually, the anime is decent, however, that's overshadowed by its compelling story. I will say that when comparing the design of the characters between the LN and manga, the anime is a cut above. The characters seem more themselves in the anime, and how the studio animated their eyes is something that I really liked.

And can we talk about Leon’s VA for a second? The man is a genius! It’s been a while since I’ve laughed this much, not since watching High School DxD at least. Leon’s VA gives off major Issei vibes! super charismatic. I’ve heard a bit of the Japanese VA and while it’s good, it just doesn’t hold a candle to the English dub.

Overall, this anime was an amazing surprise. I had heard it was funny but the premise never grabbed me enough to watch until now. And honestly, I think I’ve just found a new genre I can get into.

P.S. I usually watch anime in sub, but every now and then, when the stars align, you find a really good dub. This, my friends, is one of those cases.
