Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (8/12 eps)
I really wanted to like this anti-Isekai story, especially within an oversaturated Isekai power fantasy market. But one of its main selling points is humor. However, when you watch many comedy specials, it's hard to laugh at jokes from other mediums because you realize how unfunny they are. Maybe a legit stand-up comic could make this work in a comedy special, but not as a manga/anime. Or maybe the mangaka needed to go to several live stand-up shows, like "Kill Tony," bomb several times before finally finding that groove. THEN, they could make "No Longer Allowed In Another World."

It is moments like these where I ...

Preliminary (25/50 eps)
This is only good if you have a younger kid/sibling who is into this. And you are stuck watching it with them. At max this is 6 stars; with some funny slapstick moments. It can even get cool sometimes and is inclusive with the cast. However, that ain't enough . . .

But if you take into fact this isn't nearly as good as other kids shows. Like the original Beyblade series, Yugioh, Medabots, or/and Zoids. Then this is definitely trash tier at about 3 stars. Some people might even say the OG Bakugan is better than this reboot. But honestly it doesn't matter, because even ...

Yasuke (Anime) add
Spoiler
TLDR; Not good or bad, just too short to really do anything. However animation, fight scenes, and the titular character was done justice. If we get a season two, maybe this anime can redeem itself.

This is loosely based on irl Yasuke. So yes, the director and writer take plenty of liberties trying to tell a romanticized and dramatized version of his life. Ultimately this is a anime, just like any other anime.

This is not a pure historical anime, but more of a Action Science Fantasy anime mixture; with Samurais, Robots, Magic, and Furries. It will definitely give you a Seven Samurai vibe though. I recommend ...

Chainsaw Man (Manga) add
Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (100/? chp)
Spoiler
Pacing is really bad in this manga, the anime did it better. I can understand wanting the pacing to be chaotic, considering what goes on in the manga. It just needs better execution.

But overall, it is interesting when it starts off. But then gets more and more depressing. It could have ended on its' 1st arc, but due to the popularity, the 2nd arc is almost a clean slate.

This series could potentially be a further turn off for some people, because lots of its comedy centers around its' main characters lewdness and romance (if you can call it that).

Freezing (Manga) add
Preliminary (200/? chp)
Spoiler
**spoiler alert** This manga has way too many negatives and is a BIG SKIP. At first it starts off as a silly female battle fanservice manga, but doesn't live up to the likes of Queen's Blade. Queen's blade offers the viewers different personality types, body types, and better drawing. Freezing is stuck on a select few types. Then it slowly tries to make the plot more serious, adds another love interest for the main character; turning it into a weak Tenchi Muyo harem.

Finally it goes off the rails, and reveals that Grandpa Gengo Aoi is a parody of Gendo Ikari. Which means the whole time ...

Abara (Manga) add
Mixed Feelings
Some have lauded this as some sort of great artwork and you need to be intelligent to understand it. However, I do understand Abara, and it isn't miraculous.

The manga tries to tell the story specifically through images. But it has poor character development and you are left confused until the very end. It puts off explaining things far to late in the manga.

Also, the artwork can range from, "Dang this looks good!" To, "Okay this looks sloppy at best. . ." Which irritates me to the point, of wanting to give this a zero stars.

You want something miraculous, abstract, and intelligent manga?! Well go read ...

Dr. Stone (Manga) add
Do you like mangas that are written in a smart manner—similar to "Death Note"? Then look no further, you have found the series, just for that. The 1st volume really gets you interested.

But, sometimes the dialogue in explaining the science, will bore you every now and then. As you continue to read the other volumes of the series, and it is a long one. This hurts it the most.

However, I'm really satisfied on how they ended the final volume. Felt right for the series and they managed to stick the landing. Most Shonen manga have a hard time doing this.

Overall the series is worth a ...

Dorondororon (Manga) add
Mixed Feelings
Overall, the series is about a 4.5 out of 10 stars. The best thing I like about it, is the Main Characters and his side kick buddy cop friendship. Which comes off as REALLY cute.

But then the rest of it comes off too generic and I don't know what the mangaka could have done. To take it out of that slump. Shonen did at least let this series get a proper ending. We did have to rush to the finish though.

If you liked this at all. I recommend to check out Bright from Netflix, Copcraft from Hulu, Demon Slayer from Shonen, and Claymore from Shonen ...

Spoiler
The overall series, is like a 4 out of 10. It starts off interesting, and has moments it gets good. But the story pacing is slow, and there is too much of it. Which then makes it confusing, but wikis clears that up. A really fascinating concept, that could have been delivered better.

I'm glad that it ended with a happy ending and the mangaka didn't get short, like it is common now in days. Despite saying this, could have given us more of a epilogue of Setsuna and Sarah enjoying their life. Like a slice of life scenario.

Angel Sanctuary felt dialogue heavy for something that ...

Preliminary (77/? chp)
tldr; if you are a shonen action fan, you don't want to miss this.

Shonen Jump is famous for creating story arcs that revolve around a tournament. However, Record of Ragnarok takes it to another level, even further than Baki and Kengan Ashura. The entire story is one big tournament deciding the fate of humans.

So it is non-stop action. The only time it ever takes break, is when there is a flash back (which all characters fighting in the tournament get one) and the announcing of the next fight. During these moments, it does world building, and character development.

The fighting is always entertaining, it is never ...
