The simple and pure question about whether you like this or not is: what is Evangelion for you? What does it mean to you?
For me the answer is a bit complicated, yet simple. Evangelion is peak of psychology drama, it's something you want to see before you know you need to see it. It's something you will truly enjoy when you'll get the deeper thought of this piece and it will change your mindset forever. It's something you will truly hate, if you see it just a simple chaos of fighting robots and depressed childs.
The story, since the first anime series, is stealing things from
...
Book of Genesis, mythology and psychology. And who can literally complain after this? 1/2 of the "fun" with Evangelion is watching this movie, previous movies, original series. 1/2 of the "fun" with Evangelion is to think about its point, about the story, characters, psychology in it, about the symbolism in it.
Evangelion is the perfection between being halfway happy and halfway in agony. After so many years of watching anime nothing simply didn't touch my emotions as much as this. And I am pretty sure it applies to many other people.
Anno and Sadamoto are simply 2 geniuses. Why? Look at what they created :)

It's typical DS, just another season, what to say more about it...
Still amazing music, still amazing art and animations, still easy yet fancy story and fights. Final episode just rocks and is definitely giving high hopes for final 3 movies.
It's true that this season is more about dialogues and fun and some character development rather than permanent fights like in previous seasons and movies. But personally I really liked it. It just carry over the easy story it develops and makes here some proper character development also with some deeper introduction of some characters we will meet in future 3 movies. It's understandable not everybody
...
is happy about it but obviously majority of people is satisfied with the outcome.
But because it's just 1 slower season taking its time and care, doesn't mean it's a bad season. As far as I see, majority of DS community liked this season and we are just dealing again with some vocal minority trying to shit on this season just because they didn't like it, so that automatically has to mean nobody can like it and everybody who liked it has to be spammed with laugh emoji or such. Do as you please, it really doesn't change the reality, which must be frustrating for some of those individuals :)
Season is finished, waiting for a grand finale. It's safe to say that if you are a DS fan and you know the flow of the show, you will most likely like it. Slow pace and more easy story in majority of this season doesn't have to be the right cup of tea for everybody but the stories around Hashiras and entire training is more than enjoyable. If you don't like slowly paced shows/seasons, you can also just try the first episode and then skip to the last one, as much as it was a nice season, it's also safe to say you won't miss much if you'll skip 6 episodes. Take it based on your taste, enjoy it and don't spread childish hate, there just depends on you how much you will or won't enjoy it, nothing more.

We've been almost on 10/10, not quite yet...
First I would like to show that this season finally opened eyes to people who never wanted to watch such anime. It's a harem mixed with isekai and drama. Simply the outcome of having interest into multiple women is expectable from this piece and if you don't like those motives, I guess it's time to quit it.
But now for this season. First part basically about preparing some living with Sylphie, second part about going into a dungeon. I really liked both of them. Mushoku is from the beginning a big surprise as it allows you to have
...
carousel of emotions to swap between during entire season, sometimes even during one episode. And this anime is doing it really well.
Whether you take Rudeus' relationship with his father, with his sisters, mother, Sylphie or Roxy, those relationships are honed after many mistakes, bad decisions and some tries of fixing it up in isekai world. As much as Rudeus is aware of his past mistakes too, it's fancy to watch his path with goal to make his new life better and more meaningful. Like, do we have this kind of isekai frequently? No.
Harem part is something that is really different here from typical harem anime as it's built with patience, time and a lot lot lot of effort. So sorry to some people but yea, that's different from typical average scored harem anime where is 18+ every 2nd scene with a poor quality. Here it brings some fun, good jokes and really absurd and funny situations so one can laugh his lungs out. Which is something what makes for a good chill piece to watch, right?
In conclusion, Mushoku Tensei is definitely special and deserves its popularity and attention. It's quite pleasant to watch such isekai with a fresh wind and interesting composition of story parts. If you like Mushoku, you have to give this a try.

So, it's finished. After some years and after getting a new studio to adapt school arc, those results are really promising.
First of all I have to point to graphics probably. Those arts and animations are just amazing. From the overall graphic of characters to really well-made details as Ciel's eyes or reflection and movement of the water in cup of the tea. It's really something what will catch your eye in the first seconds.
Of course some art and animations are not the most important here. Despite many people being worried about story adaptation and design of characters, I would say it ended up pretty well.
...
School arc was interesting one, with a lot of twists and details as much as funny situations.
My personal issue lies simply in ending, it feels kinda "meh". Some longer conversation with main antagonist here or a bit better final episode would make just an honor to this piece.
Also it's amazing even after years we have same voice actors for the main characters. It definitely brings some nostalgia after years.
I don't agree with some opinions that the entire feeling or aura around Ciel and/or Sebastian has been changed. I am pretty sure some people have been watching previous seasons much younger and simply created some fake reasons for themselves to like it or to hate it. While I would agree that Sebastian's aura couldn't be seen that much in this arc as there have been some plot-wise limitations, I still seriously think he maintained his picture, behavior and feeling. And this applies to Ciel as well. I especially love how they maintained through years and different studios his small facial expressions and his overall mood and thus they basically kept his aura as well.
In the end it has been a great season and I hope we will get another one, as we could see in post-credit scene some hint for the next arc. Good quality stuff for Kuroshitsuji fans as this season brought good things from previous ones and discarded the bad ones.

Fate/stay night is interesting one. In my opinion some people are truly overrating it just because they've seen different seasons before this but let's dive into it.
First I'll bring some positives. I really liked that typical oldschool vibe of 2006 anime. It's refreshing and such calm feeling. Most of the characters have nice dialogues and scripts. Music is very enjoyable. And in the end, Saber is a really cool character I personally can't wait to meet again in Fate/Zero.
On the other hand, the script for Shirou's dialogues is bad as hell. That character has almost no character development during entire anime and I have to
...
admit, it can be a bit annoying after a while. Some episodes, especially before some bigger breakouts, are really slow and it's not enjoyable at all, because anime is trying to confuse you for any cost and you won't be able to enjoy it not even in retrospective at the end of the anime, because some episodes are simply dull.
Still, I thought it will be much much much worse based on what people are saying. Thanks god it's actually pretty decent anime, which works really well as some base work for other movies and series. It's an anime about masters swinging with their servants against each other trying to go for a holy grail in a bit dystopic world or logic and this topic is very familiar to me. Still, anime would deserve a bit more action probably, maybe a question of personal taste.
If you like action anime, a bit of romantic, some dystopic rules and some mythical things and characters mixed with symbolism, you will most likely to some degree enjoy Fate/stay night as it's pretty decent, yet it's not something what would make your mouth wide open. It's worth a try.

Shangri-La Frontier is going on path after SAO.
Meanwhile SAO is trying to focus on some drama, story and back then tried even cool fights, SLF is focusing more on story, jokes and long fights.
It's really a fun anime you don't want to miss and entire anime is focused on full dive VR MMORPG story. It's supposed to be a morel lightweight at the start of the anime and push you a bit into personalities of individual characters, their basics, their story, what they like, who they are.
Rest of the anime is filled with really cool fights, easy yet interesting story, proper character development, cool fights,
...
some boss fights and typical scenes and strategies from MMORPG games.
However, last 5 episodes or so are completely useless. In my POV they've been boring as hell and totally not coresponding with the rest of the anime. And since it's 1/5th of the anime, I decided to lower my rating by 1 star because of it.
Anime has also some weird moments, which could've been solved better and also there is basically no further development of started romance story line between some characters, which in the end feels more like a filler.
Still, it's a decent and fun anime and honestly, if 2nd season will be better, it could be much more satisfying than what it is now. If you like something from MMORPG-like worlds (SAO, Overlord, ...), you like isekai patterns and you want to watch something half serious, half funny, you should give it a chance.

This show is one of the most overrated shows in recent times but as I saw, many people are picking different reasoning for it than me...
First, I don't care about that "good quality stuff" cringe, which is still cringe but you can feel like teen girl watching her favorite duo doing weird things. It's something you usually expect in romcoms.
But there are different reasons, why this anime is bad (and I am basically giving it points just for the animation and some idea at the start of the story).
First reason - character development. There are pieces, that don't have character development or have small
...
one. It's often boring, because you are watching multiple episodes/seasons of characters behaving literally the same way, not learning from their mistakes and just doing stupid things. But here is something I would call a reversed character development. Multiple characters not only that they don't learn from their mistakes but even creating more stupid scenarios based on their behavior. And it's not "annoying" in that positive way but rather in negative one.
Second reason - toxic and abusive relationships. Sorry, it's romcom, you usally expect something sweet or something interesting or something what you can learn from. What is this story about once more, please? About abusive relationships? That's right! There are multiple characters either having romantic or friendly toxic relationship between each other. And not only it's annoying, it gives you a thought "Does creator really think this is alright?", because most of the anime it looks like it's something that creator wants to defend for any cost. To me, it really isn't alright to show multiple psychically abusive relationships, with many red flags and something you should avoid IRL. Where is exactly fun in that?
Third reason - unrealistic as much as it can be. Again, I know it's a romcom, some of them are really far from something realistic, some of them have actually pretty realistic story, feelings, etc... But this is as far from reality as possible. Doesn't matter whether you pick a sister of one of the main characters or their friends or base of their relationship - everything is unbelieveable. During entire anime you have even some random encounters with other characters or random events which basically don't make sense at all, because they don't fit into the story and not even characters seem conflicted about them. They disappear and all characters are like "oh, nothing happened, i don't remember last X hours".
So, in my conclusion. You have some romcom based on toxic and psychically abusive relationships, story is basically non-existent, character development is rather reversed if something and final episodes aren't even worth finishing the anime. As nice as it was in like first 1-2 episodes, it went straight to the hell with everything. Music is average at best and I can really give points just for the animation and some starting idea. Because the rest of the anime definitely can't be enjoyed by person who likes either romcoms, romantic topic in general, at least basic story or some logical chain of events with satisfying ending. And since the first episodes are something totally different from the rest of it, I wouldn't hold back to call this a trap anime.

This anime is one of the reasons why you should try some pieces based on your own consideration, not based just on reviews.
The anime is circling around symbolism a lot. And in the middle of the anime, also as at the end of it, I just told myself "this anime is a lot of like Neon Genesis Evangelion". I don't mean it's some copy or even cheap one on top of that. It simply does a great job with symbolism, characters and story. Not even talking about that great music, both in openings/endings as well as some background music.
Synopsis nor the first 1-2
...
episodes will be able to properly tell you what to expect, you just must give it a try. It's one of those sci-fi mecha anime which isn't concentrated around mecha stuff. It's more like a psychological drama with everything you can dream of. There are some kinds of "superpowers", which have a bit deeper meaning that it looks on a first sight.
Anime is structured into 2 parts, first 12 episodes will be telling you some story about what happened, introducing properly all characters and even killing some of them. But second part is where the "fun" begins. It's where you will understand why do you need to be open-minded towards this anime and don't have prejudices towards many characters or some parts of the stories, otherwise you won't be able to enjoy it. Second part also contains a lot of more symbolism and some deeper meaning behind many actions and things and it's something you will truly enjoy, especially if you love psychological drama.
Those are some positives. But this anime isn't perfect and it's a bit pitty. My biggest concern from all of them is about reasoning behind some characters' powers. Because the reason is "they just can do this" and it's not satisfying in some moments. It's not like it will ruin your enjoyement or it will make you close it and never watch it again, it's more like a minor inconvenience. It's just something what is holding this anime from being better and more enjoyable, because to this are connected some other things, actions, etc. and it effectively stops the story and characters from being more enjoyable. It's pitty...
Definitely give this one a try, especially if you love psychological drama, because I feel like many people didn't bother enough to get a grasp of some symbolism in this piece and some deeper meanings of many things, which are the reasons, why you can enjoy this piece that much. And as I said at the start, it really feels like a pace and enjoyement from Neon Genesis Evangelion, not some copy but just a lot similar symbolism usage, story pace, logic twists, etc...

The typical anime "a guy died as X and reincarnated in a new world as Y". However, this piece is trying to bring something new and some good ideas into this genre.
Entire story is built on top of the strongest exorcist who is using his skills instead of magic in a magic world where he got reincarnated. Trying to play lowly side character and hide his powers, he isn't always able to do so and creating some OP-like situations.
Story is giving some good ideas regarding main characters or even about world itself. Character development is something that you can bump into in almost every episode
...
and it's satisfying.
BUT... I really have issue with how chaotic and different is last 1/3rd of the anime. Things are just getting chaotic, some characters are put completely into background, different ones, not interesting ones, are put in foreground. And we are starting basically a new story line as we are introduced to some new characters that are playing the major role in the rest of the story.
This is all ending in a way which is not really connected to the story or characters at the start of the anime and also feels a bit rushed for some reason. You can't even enjoy some really epic fights because they are usually stopped right before some juicy moment.
I believe this piece missed it's potential/possibilities and it's a pitty, really. Could be a lot better. Maybe S2 could fix that? Who knows... For isekai fans this might be something interesting to try but I believe there are many other and better pieces. This is not bad but it can really disappoint you.

I am just anime watcher, didn't read light novel but I am aware there are not some important scenes, yet I haven't been digging too deep for it.
As simple anime enjoyer I still see some story quality drop since season 2, which was amazing. It's not like this season is awful but I believe some things could be handled better, especially when you kinda know what to expect already.
Meanwhile season ends with a smaller/bigger cliffhanger in last ep and I know a bit why because of some spoilers, I don't think episodes before that are so enjoyable as in previous season. In fact I just
...
saw a tons of missed opportunities for epic scenes and character development.
Kiyotaka himself doesn't feel as much involved deeply in many things as I would expect, which is a pitty.
On the other side, new chairman situation and also final episodes were really interesting and enjoyable, promising strong next season. So as things are now, I think it deserves 7/10 from me and I'll wait for the outcome in next season. But this anime can certainly hit higher standards than this.
