Btooom!

Mirai Nikki and Btooom and set off in a world where people must kill each other in order to survive. The protagonists were forced into a life or death game where they were given a weapon for a chance to live. In Mirai Nikki, characters have a diary on their cell phone that predicts the future. In Btooom, they were given different types of bombs. Along the way of their journey, they will meet an ally and/or allies which add a bit of romance to the story. The mean difference I would say it’s the place where it takes in. Mirai Nikki is in Tokyo and Btooom is on a deserted island.

Tokyo Ghoul

Claymore isn’t as popular as Tokyo Ghoul even though they’re both pretty similar. These animes have a horror/gore/mystery genre because they have monsters feeding on humans. The fighting scenes in these series are pretty epic but there’s more action in Claymore. There’s a little bit of romance but very minimal because it’s more focused on the horror part. The protagonists, Kaneki and Clare, are on in conflict with themselves and with other monsters because they are half monster half human and they have almost the same personality. Not only that, they both have crazy powers and strength. The main difference is the setting. In Tokyo Ghoul, it happens in Tokyo in the modern age and in Claymore, it’s around medieval times.

Ao no Exorcist
add

The two protagonists (Rin and Rikuo) are part demon part human and uses a katana as a weapon. They also change appearances during a fight scene and tries to hide their true selves which are their demon side. Even though they are only teenagers, the two of them are very powerful but all they want is to protect the ones they love. The biggest difference between both of them is that Rin (Ao no Exorcist) is trying to fit into human society and wants to become an exorcist despite being a demon himself. As for Rikuo (Nurarihyon no Mago), he is indecisive about whether he wants to become a leader of a demon clan or live a life of a normal human.

Super Lovers
add

The main similarity is obviously that both series are yaoi/shounen ai. Love Stage!! is more towards the comedy side and Super Lovers is more focus on the dramatic/trauma type but it’s still a pretty funny anime. They both have some sort of brother complex and the main character, Izumi from Love Stage!! and Ren from Super Lovers, that doesn’t know what to do towards the person that loves them because they are guys. Altogether both of them are amazing especially for a fujoshi and a fudanshi.

Akatsuki no Yona
add

These animes have almost the exact same plot. A princess had to escape her own castle and kingdom because she needs to find allies to help her save it. While they are both similar, Nanatsu no Taizai has a more comedy side compared to Akatsuki no Yona, it focuses on the drama and historical side. I would say that the biggest differences are the personality of the characters. Since Nanatsuki no Taizai has a more comedy side, the characters are more childish and funny. In Akatsuki no Yona, they are more mature and friendly aspect to it. If you like a good adventure type anime that still has the same concept has Nanatsuki no Taizai, you’ll really like Akatsuki no Yona!
